Lego Technic Segway

  • This is my interpretation for a Lego version of the Segway. It's steering mechanism is not as in reality and so is its balancing system. But my Segway ís balanced, with the greatest part of the weight (battery box and motors) concentrated below the central axes, that of the wheels. But you also have other forces that the M-motors exert on the frame, that push the back downwards and the front up. A solution for the balancing system is using Mindstorms NXT, but I wanted to design a model with this wheels. When you have bigger wheels, for example that of the Lego Technic Unimog U400 (8110), it is interessant to use Mindstorms NXT in combination with an ultrasonic sensor. Then you can write a progam, for example in NXC, to balance the robot at each speed.
