I watched Oslo August 31st and didn't feel anything because isolation and depression like that is so common for me. I mean this as a complement because the film is so accurate in depicting depression and scenarios around it - like comparing your life with others' lives, feelings of shame, impulsive behaviour, how uncomfortable scenarios enable drug use, how suicide always feels like the natural answer to solving any bad situation, and on and on. Brilliant cinema that the world needs more of.
Thanks for the review. I haven't watched this movie yet. I was actually planning to watch it but was a bit hesitant thinking that it would make me depressed as I can relate to the character. Like people with suicidal tendencies were advised not to watch the show 13 Reasons Why. So my question is - Should I watch it? Will it trigger my depression? Is this movie inspiring?

@@adams.george it's been 4 years already and I don't know you watched this movie or not but I suggest if you feel depress don't watch it. I feel depressed for a long time and last scene made me feel bad so much
I don't think I've ever been metaphorically punched harder in the gut than when I got to the last 5 minutes. I've felt every single thing Anders feels, and have been told every single thing everyone tells him. I've never seen depression so accurately and personally displayed in film before, truly a masterpiece.
I was a real life version of him 9 years ago. This movie helped me to turn my life around, because I didn't want the same end IRL as in the movie. 9 years later I feel great. There were many years of pain and struggle to get back into a normal life... But it was worth it more than I ever could Imagine.
This movie was interpreted very well by the main character who spent time in drug rehab facilities to learn about problems that individuals face while trying to get clean. One of the few movies that I will always remember.
I totally agree..... I have been in this/his situation and mindset and it is very difficult to readapt, or for others to understand..... Brilliant film.
Do you think he committed suicide in the last scene? I was wondering if he just shoot up or is it an intentional overdose since he bought a gram of heroin when the dealer was asking him if he would like a quarter. And sorry that you have been through similar situation. I really liked the film though I couldn’t relate to it much.

Makes so much sense. Ander's behaviour, impulses, frustrations... everything is so relatable.
this is hands down one of the best movies I've ever seen

10 years later, now as a 30 years old dude, this movie is still my favorite, now more than ever.
this movie is so good, the scene in the cafeteria is a piece of art, as someone who had depression, i can relate with main character, very good movie
You can feel the depression in the trailer itself.
A really sad movie really depressing if you can relate to the main character as well.

I've never noticed this before, but this trailer actually uses the soundtrack of Louder Than Bombs, the film they made years after this one.
Today is 31 August 2021 it's coronavirus outbreak and i'm watching this film
Nice Sara :)
Outstanding. One of my all time favorites.
Easily one of the best movies of all time IMO. ❤
If this doesn´t move you to watch the whole film, why you wanna know whether he dies or not?
No. More that one person is Norway is called Anders you know ...
I only came here because my birthday is on 31st August but I honestly loved the trailer..🌟
Me too
Same here
This movie hit me so hard because I remember how I felt just like the main character. The difference was that I didn't commit suicide.

best movie that i’ve watched
this is my hometown!!!!! omg !
Don't know how I feel about Tier going off to hollywood, liked this and "reprise" so much I'm worried hollywood will interfere with his stuff.
His new production, LOUDER THAN BOMBS, is more a European and American production intertwined. And he has final cut.
I'm sure it will still be great. such a great director. I just hope he is doesn't become a typical "hollywood" type.
+Gavin Keenan I agree he has a lot of talent. Very much enjoy his work.
+Gavin Keenan will never happen.
In Tier we trust! haha
I really want to see his new one "louder than bombs". shame I live miles and miles away from the closest alterntive cinema.
Anyone know the name of the music playing at the end of the trailer?
