  • In this episode we discuss co-packing; also referred to as private label and white label (Mānoa Chocolate does this as well for brands and farms who want their own label). Chances are, most the chocolate on your supermarket shelf is made by only a few giant companies you’ve never heard of. #CraftChocolate #BeantoBar #ChocolateMaker

Great video. I didn't know this about the chocolate industry. I am from Boston, Ma, but have been living in Cuenca, Ecuador for 4 years. I just started making my own chocolate bars (60 - 80%) beans from El Oro, Esmereldas, and Zamora. Possibly going to start a small chocolate experience store in the area. Your videos have been extremely informative. Keep up the great work.

transparency is so important, letting your customers know what you do and who you are collaborating with is key. anyone who doesn't tell you, eather wants to hide or suggest that they are making it themselves, which most likely they don't.

Great video as always. In Spanish this process is called “Maquila”. But the best process is the one that you make...”The Bean to Bar process” I hope this Covid19 Situation ends soon.... I want to make my own chocolate factory in Colombia 🇨🇴.

Good information, recently searching in the country where I'm setting up my business, and so far I found 3 companies making their own chocolate, all other hundreds ones don't even have information from where the chocolate comes from, transparency is needed always and makes all the difference!

EYE opening! I make my chocolate from bean to jar but suck at social media. I'll work better on that. Thank you for the motivation.

Thanks for posting, was looking at all the chocolate at whole foods the other day trying to figure out who is actually doing it all themselves. Hard to do! Appreciate you breaking it down.

In many cases, this is a good thing. Professional people, top level equipment, stringent quality control, better cost control than the inexperienced small operator.

Excellent as always. I've been wondering exactly if this was a reality specially seen the boom of so many new brands
