Vedanta is not a subject matter, a spiritual doctrine, or a philosophy - it is a method of self-inquiry (atma-vichara) based on the wisdom (vidya) of the ancient rishis, as found in the Upanishads, a part of the sacred Vedic scriptures. This method can lead you to discover your true, divine nature (sat-chit-ananda atma) and gain moksha, freedom from suffering.
Swami Tadatmananda is a traditionally-trained teacher of Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and Sanskrit. For more information, please see: www.arshabodha...

Namaste Swamiji. I completely agree that through repetition we can change the conditioned beliefs and false identifications, main been that we are mind/body system. It is like reprogramming. So patience and determination are imperative. Mind gets bored by repetition, but I don't. I try to always refresh the repeated truth with contemplation and not take it for granted. Love and contentment are always with me, sometimes in a background sometimes in a foreground, that love and contentment are real me. Thank you humbly. 🙏

Would you say that it's more of a disciplined approach for you or a naturally occurring habit? I'm curious about approaches and it was crystalized by a quote I came across earlier:
"It is better to solve one problem five different ways, than to solve five problems one way". 🙏

@@dangem5022 Lol. The quote is absolute nonsense. It is just too relative to be true or not to be true. Yes, I feel naturally always content, even when my mind feels funky and weird, the only effort I do is to acknowledge that peace in a background. And more I am relaxed the more peace I feel. I lose it when stressful situation occurs, but very quickly I recover from it. Surrender is the key. That is why simple and innocent bhaktis fly the quickest ships. My mind is not so simple or even innocent but I don't take it very seriously at all so it doesn't matter. Basically I always know that all is good. 🙏

A lot to reflect on Swamiji! Wonderful class 🙏
To the class, 41:09 - Identification to the Jiva is impossible once we vividly know that we are Sat-Chit-Ananda Atma.
I find that it's easy to do and sometimes even automatic when there's a threat or a potential threat but if there's none I seem to have to remind myself of my True Nature. The way I approach this is I let it be and trust the teachings while I continue to "immerse(21:05)" myself in Vedanta. Personally, I feel it's not an issue and my gut says identification will get better naturally over time as long as I keep listening and reflecting which I habitually do anyway. I feel it's progressing because once I notice a specific thing that I'm doing that gets me superimposed to the Jiva, a few moments later I end up converting it to Atma. It's like I was going to joke about identifying with the Jiva when I was enjoying myself eating sweets which are by no means a threat. But during this realtime reflection, now I know I am not the one enjoying the Jell-O I was eating a few hours ago. It was the mind that was enjoying the Jell-O.
I was wondering if other advanced students out there approach this the same way? 🤔
    🙏
