You must be absolutely nuts. I have lived in Tulsa most of my life. And it is HALF of what you have just said. It is a beautiful vibrant city. People are SO nice. Yes, it has drugs, taxes, weather… but so does every American city. This video is really frustrating to watch. I laughed the whole time.
Like wtf bro! Its normal to put salsa on chips, and sometimes some people put it on other mexican foods, but on *ice cream?* Yeah we dont do that here in tulsa
Hey, Im from europe, Germany. I like cities in the US. Tulsa and the OKC are stunning skylines. Would you suggest the city tulsa for a new residents of me??
I've lived all of the US and overseas. I visited Tulsa last month on a whim and stayed a week...and absolutely loved it. People were very friendly, the food was awesome, there were many parks and things to do, we felt safe walking downtown...Tulsa is quite the hidden gem.
your right''''tulsa is a nice town''''''''''but read my thread on there '''''tax's'''''''''''its not the best place to live'''''but its not the worst either'''''''''and the weather suck's alot 60% of the year.
@@jamesharrison2041 I mean it’s literally like shitty weather 30% of the time maybe even less ur lost ur mind on 60% this isn’t North Dakota man .dead of summer it gets kinda humid but it’s no Florida humidity that’s for sure and the winters here aren’t really that bad. There’s been one storm this year we got snow for literally two days and it’s been 65 degrees pretty much this entire winter except a few cold weeks here and there it’s definitely no Chicago in that fashion either .

I've never heard of anyone experiencing a hard time finding a place to eat in Tulsa. It's just not true. Tulsa has the most restaurants per capita than any other town or city I've ever been to. The city is overly saturated with eateries with nearly an unlimited variety of concepts. Literally anything you could want to eat is in Tulsa.
I grew up in Tulsa and most of my family still lives there. I've NEVER heard the name "Turf-war Tulsa". And people walk their dog and enjoy park life at plenty of spots. Ever hear of the Gathering Place? And, incidentally, I don't know anyone who puts salsa on their ice cream. Much more I could address, but I'll leave it at, "You're so off."
Haven't you seen the movie "The Outsiders"? That thing ended with a gang rumble, and that was filmed in Tulsa! That obviously means there is a ton of crime in Tulsa.
Your ‘gathering place’ is a SH*THOLE. The city’s PR team tried to convince you it was winning all kinds of ‘national awards’ before Covid, BS. It is and always was a joke. Being unfortunate enough to live in Tulsa is the literal DEFINITION of being a worthless loser.
This person has no idea what she is talking about. I have lived in tulsa for 47 of my 48 years. Tulsa is a wonderful place to live, raise a family and work. It is not a place just for older folks. Don't listen to this person.
Have lived in Tulsa all 46 years of my life moved away and always came back. This individual has absolutely no idea what they're talking about love this place.
Totally agree - recently completed a cross country tour last summer and Tulsa is fantastic. So many excellent restaurants, we walked around downtown at night, got great shots of the deco architecture, and so much more - definitely will visit again and wouldn’t accept this clickbait as an authentic opinion 🥲 unfortunate too bc it only hurts Tourism and industry when it’s not accurate or inflated
I don’t know what this lady is smoking but she’s completely inaccurate about Tulsa. I’ve lived here for 20 years and I think it’s been one of the most welcoming cities I’ve ever been in.
You know your view of a city is really off/in accurate when almost all of the comments disagree🤣 the only thing she said that was kinda accurate was the weather. Yeah Tulsa has some scary weather but we are still here. Leaves nothing behind 😂🌪 funny stuff right here.
I love the ignorant ‘Tulsa has tornadoes but Okies are too dumb to have basements’ crap. Tulsa, and most of NE Oklahoma, sits on an extremely high water table. If you’re stupid enough to build a house on a ‘basement’ foundation there you’re going to be looking at three feet of stagnant stinking water filled with water moccasin snakes and brown recluse spiders under your house- having a fiesta on all that ‘salsa’ that I WISH existed in Tulsa but absolutely does NOT, unfortunately. Honestly, what idiot compiled this? There are 1001 legitimate reasons to hate on Tulsa w/out resorting to general ignorance and random lies.
Hey, we dont put salsa on ice cream, its normal to put it on chips, and also stop being so dramatic about the storms. They are just thunderstorms! And it doesnt always rain. Its mostly sunny everyday.
As a 918 lifer i would love a specific break down of each "experience" you speak about and what part of town you where in when it happened. Lets start with this BS about the Salsa.
I’ve lived in Tulsa all of my life. The salsa thing is so inaccurate. Sure, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants that have chips and salsa, but I’ve never seen any of the stuff you’re talking about in this video lol. People really aren’t that rude over here compared to other cities like NYC. Sure, there are some rude people here and there, but that’s literally everywhere. The reason why so many people lost their jobs in 2020 was because of Covid. If you compare the taxes and housing prices to other cities, Tulsa is really not that bad. Have you ever even visited/lived in Tulsa? It sure doesn’t sound like it lol
Hi @Doydivision, I'm from Nigeria and I want to study in Tulsa, I'm looking for a good university in Tulsa without IELTS and the cost of living is cheap... Pls can you help me with that?
I must be living in the wrong part of Tulsa because I have never seen people put salsa on everything. Maybe ranch dressing, but not salsa. I moved here almost 20 years ago because I took a good job that paid well and the cost of living is low. I walk my dog in the middle of the night without fear.
No one has to ‘slam you down.’ You slam YOURSELVES down to the most despicable depths of racism, misogyny and ignorance. Oklahoma is the literal DEFINITION of stupid racist hicks. Reference ´The Grapes of Wrath.´ But you don’t read, do you? A 9 yr old girl could be raped by her own father in OkleeHomee right now & she would be forced to give birth. OkleeHomee isn’t even a 3rd world country, it’s a 10th world backwards inhumane hellhole of stupidity.
Visited Tulsa for a show at Cain's Ballroom. I never saw any salsa, everyone that I encountered was warm and friendly. The food I had was amazing and the city was incredibly walkable. I stayed in the downtown area and walked to everything that I wanted to do + see. The art deco architecture was stunning. It's amazing that a city this great is so off the radar.
Incredibly WALKABLE? What were you trying to ‘walk’ to from Cain’s? One of the homeless shelters that will dump you out on the sidewalk if you resist being baptized as a racist degenerate ‘southern baptist?’
She's doing Tulsa a favor. Trust me, you don't want all the crazy liberals moving there from CA, NY, NJ, WA, etc and destroying Oklahoma like they have in the states they're fleeing. They are too dumb to vote differently. They've destroyed the beautiful state of Idaho in the past few years. Trust me. You don't want them there.
Tulsa was an OK place to grow up- I don't think I'll ever move back- the weather is pretty horrid. The humidity in the summer is oppressive, and winter, well, that sucks too. Mosquitos everywhere. Tornadoes and HOT RAIN! ICE STORMS! Idiot drivers of EVERY STRIPE! Weird aggressive rednecks rocking out to Vanilla Ice/Kid Rock AND THEY WANT TO FIGHT, OR RUN YOU OFF THE ROAD AND SHOOT YOU! Trust me, I know, I was friends with these people. It was ridiculous. I had to join the Army to get away from this town.
Tulsa has some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, housing is incredibly cheap in Tulsa and all of Oklahoma. You can afford to purchase a nice home on a $50k salary, which isn’t difficult to find (yes, even outside of healthcare). Salsa??? Go to Subway? What? Lol! There are a TON of good restaurants in Tulsa, did you only go where Huevos Rancheros was served? I’m not from Tulsa and live in Utah, but lived in OKC for a few years.
I believe the person or persons who prepared this gem is from Tulsa and deliberately disguised the truth to keep the public away. I grew up in Chicago, but have lived in Tulsa 46 years. It’s the best
Well you are correct I have lived in and around Tulsa most of my life and that's over 50 years I'm afraid to say. Let's make sure everyone sees this do you really want people from California pouring into Tulsa and turning it into California
I was born in Tulsa. Went to High School there. Escaped in 1978 for Colorado. Happiness really is Tulsa in the rear view mirror.. The Rockies are much much better than Turkey Mountain !
I think she doesn't want more people to came to tulsa. She wants the city for her self. Because any city u go have thisame problems ..correct me if I'm wrong 🤨
She doesn't want the dumb people escaping crazy liberal cities coming to Tulsa and voting in the same idiotic Democrat stupidity that they'rerunning from. If you're a liberal snowflake, stay in your blue states. Don't come to Tulsa.
I lived in Tulsa for 10 years and never see nothing like the way that this lady explains i made a lot of friends and they care about people and they help you even if you don't ask , drugs and crime is a global problem but something that i know for sure is not the same live in Tulsa that just go passing throug and start talking about it or she needs to get a new gps because she's totally lost🙃
50 years in Tulsa and have only been served salsa in Mexican restaurants. Also never heard of salsa on ice cream and I've even spent a lot of time in New Mexico
I’ve lived in Tulsa my whole life and never have I heard of it being known for salsa you must’ve only ate at Mexican restaurants and it’s not really like a turf war like at all just stay out of the sketchy areas even in the sketchy areas there are nice people put in a rough spot we’ve all been there yunno and I’ve had a lot of people do many kind things for me you just need to be polite to others we take care of eachother out here even the homeless will help you out if you need it and are nice to them
I lived in Broken Arrow, about a quarter mile from the Tulsa city limits, from 2001-2007. Great place to live. If I hadn’t been concerned about aging parents here in Tennessee, I would have stayed there.
I’ve been in Tulsa often on since 1985, when I used to meet my girlfriend there, when she came from Denver and I came from Houston. I find the city very interesting. It reminds me of Austin with its hills and the river, but not with a far left politics. The restaurant scene there is great. Furthermore, you can get to the Ozarks in about an hour.
Tulsa was a great place to live, lots of friendly people and lots of things to do. I can't recall a day where I hated living in Tulsa but ever since we moved to Florida I hate living here frequently.
Wtf is this video😂 this is so unbelievably in accurate😂😭 I’ve lived in Tulsa for 4 and I’ve never heard about this “salsa” problem. Also, the crime thing? I’ve never witnessed a crime and I’ve been to some sketchy places. This is a terribly misinformed video. Touching on the rude people thing? Tulsa has some of the nicest people. If you want rude people then go to colorado, it is a breeding ground. HORRIBLE video. Just aweful😂
There is a crime problem there now...unfortunately the city turned Blue thanks to idiot mayors...they basically invited in the homeless and druggies...so crime follows...and don't get me started on the Central American invasion going on....
I've lived in tulsa since 2010, and when I first moved here I was worried as a middle easterner after all it's oklahoma but then I discovered it's remarkably big lebanese community and felt at home and now I'm proud to call it my home for 13 years now.
I grew up in Tulsa and constantly visit my family and I've never even considered that we put salsa on everything. I really don't know where you are getting that from. We mostly serve chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants. Also, Tulsa is not full of seniors, to my knowledge. Where are you getting that information? There is a great mixture of people of all ages in Tulsa. I have literally never heard anyone say "turf war Tulsa", however the crime in Tulsa can be bad in some areas. However, no crime has EVER been done to me or anyone in my family over the last 30 years in any way. Not even a car broken into or a pickpocket or anything like that. I literally never even consider that something will happen to me when I'm in a nice area of Tulsa. Go to the Gathering Place, Utica Square, or most midtown, South Tulsa, or suburban areas and it is very safe. People from Tulsa are definitely not rude. Utterly ridiculous. People in Tulsa are mostly extremely nice. Nicer than nearly anywhere else in the country. "Oklahoma dirt roads." I haven't been on a dirt road in 10 years. We don't have dirt roads in Tulsa. Although, some of the roads need to be repaved. Also, while we have bad storms, it's still extremely unlikely that you will get a direct hit from a tornado.
I lived in Broken Arrow for over three years. However, I had to commute to downtown Tulsa every day for work. I loved living in Broken Arrow, and I enjoyed my time in Tulsa for the most part. The only problem I would consider a negative was that junkies came out at night in downtown Tulsa, and could be a huge nuisance. Especially in the summer times. There was this one lady who was definitely strung out on drugs that would always hassle me every day by saying her car was broken down at a Quick Trip, and she needed money for gas. Every day I would call her out on her hustle, and every day she would be so strung out that she forgot that she used that line on me the previous day. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. Unfortunately, that was a common occurence downtown.
Who paid the creator of this video to be a hater? 1) The cost of living here is the reason people are moving all over the country! 2) Maybe she's secretly a Tulsa native and is tired of prices going up because of the fat populating growth! Lol 3) Salsa really? 4) Tulsa has things to do, places to see, and delicious places to eat. 5) If Tulsa was so horrible peeke wouldn't be moving here by the droves. 6) But, one this is we don't have any beaches..... so, there is that! Lol
I mean I literally had guns pulled on me the last 6 six times I was inTulsa. And have lived there for years. This town is crappy but can be good depending on where you move.
@@blahbuhblah6852 I've lived here for well over a decade and neither had any thing like that happen. Now, if you are hanging out at after hours spots or anywhere else too late at night....... that can definitely be a bad look. But, I'll live in in Cali and PA and both times in our near major cities and that's anywhere. Staying out late in areas that you aren't from or don't know anything about just isn't wisdom anywhere. @@AcapellaFella I get that has been some people's experience. But, not mine. I work for a great company that's super progressive and I'm comfy. Life is what you make it. I've lived in some beautiful places in Cali and on the east coast. There are great spaces everywhere. But, Tulsa is a little gem, too.
Huh! That's a flat-out LIE!!! Hubby and I are here for 10/days, August of 2022, and ABSOLUTELY love it, and, yes, there are "pockets" (don't all cities do?), especially near downtown Tulsa. We're currently living in Idaho, but the gem state is now being swarmed by much of Californians with their rhetoric agenda and it's going to get worse, so it's time to move out and Tulsa (Jenks), where our heart is. Most houses here are made of bricks they're beautiful and we like the architectural designs. Don't rely on words of mouth from people who try to discourage you from visiting Tulsa. Come see Oklahoma for yourself. Explore and experience it. This place is AMAZING!!🤩
It's GROSS. I grew up in Tulsa and in the seventies and eighties it was great but it's been overrun by liberal views. I live in beautiful Colorado and don't like returning for anything but to visit my Nana. I will NEVER live here again. Dangerous woke schools as well unless you homeschool of course which is always best. Yes the OLD architecture of Tulsa is pretty. Old oil money and neighborhoods. I grew up in South Tulsa and at one point it was beautiful but more and more it looks like the North side is meshing with the South.
@@AliceWonders22 Okay, then stay where you can be happier. Understand that there's beauty in every city as well as there are chaos order and disorder - depending on how you address and react to them. Some relatives and friends of mine live in Colorado and I can promise you they're not all happy about the place either. My family used to live in SoCal for many years but we don't hate the place and still think it's a beautiful place although you hear a lot about how bad it has gotten through the years.😃
Homegrown Tulsan here. I am insulted by your depiction of downtown Tulsa. Downtown and the areas surrounding it, are where ALL of Tulsa’s history and culture are at. All the art districts, the good food, the architecture, and the communities are beautiful in that area. Stay in Idaho if you hate the best things about Tulsa.
When I went to Tulsa I experienced great people great people it's a very warm place. You can raise your children the people are very kind that's what I experienced did not experience any rude people at all so visiting Tulsa I decided to buy and move there she this person is not telling the truth about Tulsa it's nothing that she's talking about she is definitely lying. Tulsa is a wonderful place I am moving there from California the people are kind and considerate and very respectful. Men open doors for me and my daughter so I don't know what she's talking about but please do not believe anything that she's saying about Tulsa
My only gripe is the homeless issue but it's not even really that bad anymore. It's a cheap and easy place to live, for anyone who is curious. ESPECIALLY if you're a young professional starting your career
Tulsa was an awesome town back in the 80's unfortunately the oil crash hit in 89 and hasn't been the same all of the Fortune 500 companies migrated down to either Dallas or Houston...just not a professional town; also people use to make fun of Tulsa for being religious but seriously it was a way better town when there were Christians there...now full of heathen idiots on drugs...and don't get me started on the Central American invasion that has turned the demographics on its head...
Most of this video describes NORTH-WEST Tulsa. Everything south of 1st street and on the east side of the river is absolutely beautiful with great Art déco architecture, tons of nice bars and restaurants and VERY nice, friendly and also younger people! Beautiful parks with no drug dealers at all! Main reason being the biggest downer, the lack of public transportation. So the benefit is you don't have troublemakers hanging out everywhere. I loved it living and working there for two years as an expat from Germany and would have stayed longer if I had not my old parents in Germany whom I didn't want to leave behind forever. Btw, what a strange argument complaining about Salsa as if you don't need to order it and it doesn't replace any other part of the dish.
I have lived inntulsa for 29 years. I have never heard of a place putting salsa on icecream, let alone have I ever heard of Tulsa being "famous" for salsa either.
I was born in Tulsa as was my wife and lived around Tulsa for over 30 years, grew up in Mounds and finally lived in Sand Springs before we left for Wisconsin in 2018. That was the best decision we ever made. Jobs were the worst thing about living there, long commutes and low pay. That combined with increasing housing prices, it made having a stable living arrangement very expensive and unstable. Obviously drugs and poverty which leads to high crime. Weather is terrible for sure. I'm a native Oklahoman but it was never good for me there personally in my entire lifetime, and after the oil bust and housing crisis in '08, the few jobs available to the average person was far and few between. There was severe competition for minimum wage jobs from adults, not kids, who had lost their careers or couldn't afford to commute long distances for a terrible job. At one point I was driving over 40 miles one way to get to a job in Tulsa making $9.00 an hour. Every situation is different but avoid Tulsa and the Sand Springs area at all cost. Lots of poverty, low wages and lack of hope.
This video is very misinformed. I'm not sure where she got her information but I'm just gonna say the information in this video is about 90% inaccurate.
I was born and raised in Tulsa and plan to go back home. Of course not every place is for everyone, but I will say I feel that Albuquerque NM is ruder than Tulsans. I’ve never experienced the level of “I don’t care about anyone else but me” than I have in Albuquerque. It’s sad.
I was born and raised in Albuquerque and I'm actually fairly surprised to hear you say that! I've heard people from out of state tell me Burqueños are pretty friendly. What part of Albuquerque were you in?
Oh yes. Gary, Indiana, East St Louis, Camden NJ are better places than Tulsa. Yes, I’ve been to them. This saying Tulsa is the worst is such horseshit it pains me to think of the people who concocted it. Tulsa actually is one of the best cities of its size in the US. Lived there 14 years and have lived in 10 cities due to jobs and Tulsa is a great city.
Tulsa used to be a absolute wonderful place to live. In the past 30 years the city has really declined in my opinion. There used to be a great place to see live music until the Casinos ruined everything. The school system has really declined and the majority of people wish to enroll their children in the surrounding suburbs ( Jenks, BA, Owasso). The crime rate has also increased dramatically. However, Tulsa does have great places to eat and some really nice parks. The majority of the people are VERY polite and nice. (Good ole country folk), and the cost of living is really cheap compared to other cities. Tulsa has a great concert venue, so the world's best entertainers often tour thru Tulsa (BOK Center). People in NE Oklahoma love football and Tulsa has some of the best high school football in the nation. The job market is decent if you have an education or some type of training/skill; otherwise, wages are low. Unfortunately, there has been a history in Tulsa of some forms of racism which has made life difficult for Blacks, and now there are many more Hispanic citizens who live in Tulsa. Tulsa is very conservative and religion plays a role in both the social and political ideas of the people. Tulsa's biggest problem is the same as the entire state of Oklahoma- a lack of investment in the education system. Recent politicians have ignored this fact and do not realize that education is the cure to poverty, crime, and many of the problems the city faces. I was raised in the area and reside in Broken Arrow, a suburb of Tulsa. I have lived in 16 states in the western part of the country and have lived in many places that was worse- (Rock Springs, WY, Watertown, SD, Yuma, AZ) I guess, where your family and friends live and where you grew up as a child matters where you have fond memories of living. Overall, I would NOT choose to live in Tulsa these days and am sad to see such a great place decline the way it has in the past 3 decades.

She says $155k is expensive for a house. What planet is she living on? That’s rediculously cheap for a house in the US. Try buying a house in CA, CO or Northeast. This is a silly video. Tulsa appears to be one of the best values in housing in the US
I've lived here for nearly 30 years, the last 10 years downtown. If she never used the word "Tulsa" I would have thought she was talking about Portland, Chicago, New York or San Francisco. It's pretty obvious that either she has never been here or at most spent an afternoon here. Salsa everywhere?? Where did you eat, girl? Wonderful place, fantastic people, very low cost of living. And low on the pandemic lockdown insanity scale. Dramatically stating that this is the WORST city in the US is actually pretty funny when I think about some of the real sewers I've visited (see above).
As an tulsan we have have drug problem it is bad here. Public transport is broken but just walk we love our salsa we are a seniors city so true. Very scary the terf war is bad its worst now then other. Crime is bad jobs suck in big city people are not rude always but yeah there rude sometimes. Weather is so fun here ☺️. No basement yeah so true Taxes suck here dirt roads rock. Houses are so bad in price it so bad people are leaving
Lived in Tulsa my entire life I’ve never heard of this putting salsa on everything. Maybe Mexican food? I just don’t know what they are talking about. I’ve never even heard that stereotype Also crime is bad but it’s in isolated areas of the city. Stay out of the ghetto you’ll be fine. There’s some extremely nice and safe areas around Tulsa . Also I’ve never heard of Tulsa known for rude people. When I tell people I’m from the Tulsa area the first thing they talk about is how nice people seem when they visit
I'm at Tulsa right now. With all do respect, this city sucks a big deal. I traveled around at least 90 cities and towns recently and this one is handsdown the worst. Maybe it's just my experience though, many people say it's not that bad. For example, the lady at my hotel grew up here and she told me many good things about the city. You might wanna visit before you end up moving here.
I’d like to say the people who believe it’s nice are the ones who don’t get out of the house much or stay very close by. I’ve been out nearly every day for years here and this comment section is the only place I’ve seen people actually saying they like Tulsa. I like the highways and Utica Square along with some parts around cherry street, but that’s just the nice stuff. You really have to scratch around to find anything good. It’s really sad
Saw some people saying they’ve never seen a crime committed or heard of one, but I’ve seen plenty and if they ever turn on the news, someone’s getting shot here nearly every day or every other day lol. It’s forcing my family to move. I moved to Europe a few months ago. I can say that yes, these people are tough people that live in Tulsa. Carry a gun on you at all costs. I’ve had 4 people the past 5 years try bike jacking me. I’ve a lot of good friends there, these people will put their life on the line for you. That’s one thing I can say Tulsa’s good for. A lot of good people. Also, job wise there is a bunch of jobs and hiring events, etc. I’m getting several invitations a week. I promise you there’s thousands of jobs available and they’re making it noticed. There is bad weather, but it’s not to the point to where you can’t live or it affects you in a way you’re not going to survive. It’s just not hot all year round
@@Mikalrowley that's what I'm saying, the comment section is filled with people who say it's a decent place but I noticed that they're all live here or grew up here. I'm from Seattle were people aren't nice at all but they're still nicer than the people I had to deal with in Tulsa. Even the hotel people were rude af. But again, maybe it's just me! Other people might get other vibes and get better experiences.
If these people worked half as hard to actually better their decrepit city as they do screaming and shouting at anyone who’s been burned by it after being lured in by their false narratives, they wouldn’t have to troll every single critical post, video etc. They sound like North Koreans defending the motherland lol
@@Realbusinessfoundations you clearly haven’t been there or even visited if you think that lmao you can’t even talk and it’s a reason why there’s more than a million people there goofy

Born in Tulsa, 60 years old now. As a kid in the sixties and seventies I didn’t see that much of Tulsa beyond my neighborhood and school. But I can tell you that it was the best time of my life. As an adult who travels for a living for my job (throughout the Midwest) I can tell you that Tulsa stacks up nicely compared to similar sized cities that I’ve spent time in. I find most cities that I’ve worked in from Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and a few other areas, people are very kind and receptive to new people. Yes, Tulsa has a problem with gangs and drugs in several areas of town, but generally speaking Tulsa is one of the safest, most inviting and cultured cities you could hope to visit or live in. As for the salsa, we tend to enjoy it with tortilla chips. Never heard of anyone putting it on ice cream. We have a couple of successful ice cream brands in Oklahoma that don’t require such additives. People are nice, traffic is getting worse, but if you ever been to any other city of similar size that’s the way it be sometimes. Bottom line is that this reviewer clearly has not experienced Tulsa, or has a personal vendetta. A great day to all.
bro the only salsa in tulsa I ever heard about is salsa dance class. Like i cannot find a single artical online talking about tulsas famous salsa. like bruh....
Bruh Tulsa is the most nices place ever and the people are so nice.. ya I get people are homeless there but people help them. They have a homeless shelter and I'm glad that I watched this video bc I bet that woman does not even know what it is like there she's just tryna not make people go there and that's not a very good thing

This made me laugh. I've lived in Tulsa about 40 years. Most of this description seems alien to me. I've never heard or noticed that we love or are famous for salsa! LOL Tulsa is famous for Art Deco Architecture. There are lots of Bro Trucks and SUVs here. But it's also easier to find a place to charge an EV in Tulsa than anywhere in the nation. We also have great spaces to meet and enjoy like The Gathering Place, The Greenwood Cultural Center, Botanical Gardens, Guthrie Green, The Outsiders House. Tulsa is also celebrated for its musical heritage and The Tulsa Sound. Like Bob Wills, Leon Russell, Hanson Garth Brooks and many others, and places like The Church Recording Studio, Woody Guthrie Center, Bob Dylan Center. Many great places to eat and a diverse food selection, like Mother Road Market, {some with salsa I guess} You can catch a live show at the PAC or Spotlight Dinner Theater. Tulsa has its problems like everywhere. If I had to name one, it would be too many people walking dogs.

Lady your video clip is off the wall. I understand you trying to make a living but a least try to be accurate. Crime and crack heads all over the US, walk around for 30 minutes and see for yourself. WTF are you talking about salsa, 🤦♂️, 😂.
Lol wtf, I just drove past Tulsa today on the way to Oklahoma State. I was impressed at the city feel of it. Much nicer than say Raleigh, NC for the skyline. I know that NC obviously has better suburbs and quality of living but I was impressed at least at how modern Tulsa appeared!
And so am I , I lived there 27 years and I tell you me moving away was the best thing that ever happened to me . I have a better job , and I'm flourishing more than ever in my life !! I have zero regrets!
I don't find the video super acurate on a few things but yes the weather can be unpredictable at times, taxes are a thing but not as bad as you say, and the salsa thing....I don't get that one. One thing I do find funny is all the BA,Bixby,Jenks,Owasso ect commenters talking about how they love or hate Tulsa......You live in the burbs! Tulsa is an okay place. It has a degree of crime but its not a war zone. I live in what we affectionally refer to as," Out North" or the Northside. Its the part the suburbanites warn you about visiting late at night. Here is a little secret. Its really quiet. Most crime happens in apartment complexes and hot spots like crowded convenience stores. There is a growing homeless problem. Jobs are just as you described. Housing values are cheap depending on where you buy. City is fairly conservative so if you lean blue, you will definatly hear and see some things you might take issue. There is crime but most violent crime is not random. Lots of stuff to downtown. Some nice people, some jerks too, Its like most cities i've been too.
What is it with so many videos bashing American cities for having a poor public transportation system? If you do not live in New York City, Washington D. C. or a few other major cities on the East Coast, you should not expect to find good public transportation. Get a car! Yes, public transportation is great in Europe, Japan, and a few other places, but not in the U. S. Get over it!
This is exactly why the suburd & rural Tulsa is so great. You are cklose to very nice home, shopping good education & more. We live in Clateremore & it's a great place with all the coveniences, moderate traffic, low crime to none & good shopping.
Just moved to Tulsa a year ago from Denver after 46 years, to get a way from liberal millennials like the ones who produced this. Take away what you called bad weather , and pin that tail on Denver 2x. The people are real here , with character unlike most of the US. Life is far more affordable and attainable if you are willing to work hard. Tulsa is a great city, come visit in the spring or fall.
Not sure if it's the area I'm in but anytime you walk into a gas station, your guaranteed too walk into someone who wants money, and wanting too pick a fight, I can't tell you how many street racers their are, I've heard them every single day. Mostly at midnight. I even saw a needle by a bench at a park where kids go to every day. Plus overall just a dangerous city.
I mean this is true if you are in a dangerous part of Tulsa. There’s parts of Tulsa I wouldn’t even go to during the day, but I’ve never been to a city Tulsa size or larger that doesn’t have bad areas
One thing they do have right is the public transportation is terrible ......and sales tax of .08.5% on groceries makes the working people alot less likely to be able to buy nutritional food ......the rest of the video is B>S>>>>>
I think Tulsa's a great city with the Gilcrease Museum, Philbrook Art Museum, Sun and Valero oil refineries, Route 66 (11th St.) with all the old buildings/businesses, Tulsa fairgrounds, University of Oklahoma at Tulsa, Braum's, Taco Bueno and Waffle House restaurants, a big casino at the east end of the city and some decent antique malls.
Naw, all these people love defending their awful city, but I won't. Every point she made was correct except for #9, #2, #1. Should really point out the problem with homelessness. The CoL is really low in tulsa for a reason, the city is in some trouble. It's not as bad as Oakland CA, or Detroit but go to 69th and Peoria and your dead kid, I've been held at gun/knife point around that area many times so that I'd make the extra 2 miles to avoid walking through there. In just 1 week, last week, there's been 2 homicides right in that area, 2 13 year olds 😬.
So you only disagree with 30% of what she said but start with every point she made is correct... how about starting off saying you agree with 70% of what she said. Pretty off on a few things. Moved here from California about 3 months ago and it is much better than any large city in California!

Thank you for mentioning the horrible public transit system. As of now th whole bus schedule has been rerouted, bus numbers are all different, streets that run north and south have no service, there is no live tracking of where the bus is at any given time and there isn't even a phone number to call to speak to a live person in case a bus is late. Also, the homeless are everywhere. They camp near motels and apartments but are especially thick downtown
This is definitely a joke video right? I hope so because as a resident I find this absolutely hilarious😂 Ok you answered my question with your outro. Nice!!😅😊

Nah, totally not a problem if you’re willing to eat CRAP.

Don't you bring up Sand Springs!!!

I was born and raised in Tulsa and plan to go back home. Of course not every place is for everyone, but I will say I feel that Albuquerque NM is ruder than Tulsans. I’ve never experienced the level of “I don’t care about anyone else but me” than I have in Albuquerque. It’s sad.
ha go to denver, people are ungodly rude there
Albuquerque is trash
I was born and raised in Albuquerque and I'm actually fairly surprised to hear you say that! I've heard people from out of state tell me Burqueños are pretty friendly. What part of Albuquerque were you in?
This lady knida gay ngl
I thought it was just me. 100% facts people in Albuquerque are extremely rude.
The schools always sucked.

Lived in Tulsa my entire life I’ve never heard of this putting salsa on everything. Maybe Mexican food? I just don’t know what they are talking about. I’ve never even heard that stereotype
Also crime is bad but it’s in isolated areas of the city. Stay out of the ghetto you’ll be fine. There’s some extremely nice and safe areas around Tulsa
. Also I’ve never heard of Tulsa known for rude people. When I tell people I’m from the Tulsa area the first thing they talk about is how nice people seem when they visit
Hi! I would like to move in Tulsa in a couple of month. Could you please recommend good areas to live in Tulsa? Where should I better not live in?
Oh No! Old People & Salsa! Hide your kids, Hide your wife!
Exactly
Don’t think this person has ever actually been there. And age discrimination is generally frowned upon.
