Great video, Joe! I don't own a Taylor but you touch on a lot of things that I learned the hard way. It's great to see such an innovation that's practical.

My Taylor Sense was reading like 10rh points higher when compared to all my other room and case Hydrometers. I contacted Taylor support and they opened a case with the developer. Once they contacted me they walked me through the calibration process and now my Taylor Sense is perfectly calibrated reading the same humidity numbers as my other Hydrometers.
If you’re having inaccurate readings, the unit will need to be calibrated.

Joe, how does an installer know that the Taylor Sense is working or calibrated correctly? I've had 3 installed by a certified Taylor tech in one guitar and none have them worked properly. I could get it to read, but the humidity stayed at 70% whereas 2 other humidity readers were 30%. Also the phone had had to be within 10 feet to read. The only difference was the humidity number it started with.

Maybe it's just the engineer in me, but I would check the functionality through the app before replacing the strings. If it's defective you can always put the old system back in without removing the strings again.
