Cutting off toxic family is the hardest thing you'll ever do. It takes a strong person to do that and I commend the younger brother for doing so. The oldest showed his true colors in the end.
I found the two brothers to be kind of douches... I lived in a bad part of town when I first moved to Vancouver. It was a a hole in the wall type of spot, but the rent was cheap and my trip savings were running dry. I've had a lot of my stuff stolen by my drug addict roommate and he eventually disappeared when it was time to pay rent. But things continued to disappear even after my roommate left. Turns out the landlord was sneaking into our place when no one was home and I caught him in the act.
@@Jake-eo9vf He claimed he was throwing out my old roommates stuff as the guy just up and left. He was an old Chinese guy that spoke very broken English. Basically he said he thought that my stuff actually belonged to my old roommate. We could barely communicate due to the language barrier, but after the confrontation, he got out of there quick.
My scary roommate story is I can’t wash my dishes because one of my roommates has filled both sides of the sink over the last two weeks and won’t wash hers 🙃
My older sister’s dirty dishes barely ever even make it to the sink. What’s even worse is we have a dishwasher (which she also neglects.) I pray for any possible future roommates of hers.
I never do dishes, either. But, I've also realized this and just use disposable utensils and containers and the like, so my roommate only has to deal w/her own dishes.

The shirts must have been moved to unblock his view or simply because of his activity in the closet. Check carefully for a pinhole size camera opening and you might be surprised.
to the person who had the waiter roommate.... you should leave. If he has a door that smells foul, the possibility of a corpse above it, is probable. However, he's entering your room, violating your privacy, so if you ask me you should leave.
I kind of get the vibe that big brother and bully friend are more than just roomies and maybe that's why he chose to stay with the bully instead of side with little brother. JMO
Cold water becomes room temp, wouldn't have woken him up. Sleep walkers have gone out in less clothing than boxers in sub-degree temps and not woken up.
I ended up waking up in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep so I now listen to this because it's what usually helps. Thank you even though you probably won't see this.
Put a spy cam in your room that connects to your phone, figure out where the smell is coming from, and most importantly don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself
Man, I have a roommate horror story I could have contributed. Nothing like your roommate being a meth addict who decides to break into your room 2 against one to jump you one night
The sleepwalking one scares me. I have unlocked doors, walked out of my apartment, and climbed stairs in my sleep. Luckily my dog now stops me from going anywhere in my sleep but it still scares me
It does sound really unsettling, you're so lucky to have such a great dog though! I'm sure you'll be ok :) Also, sorry for the random question... Is it true that it's dangerous to wake a sleepwalking person? What would be the best way to ensure their safety?
Persim Mon it depends on the person. Usually just gently leading them back to bed is the best way. I’ve fallen when trying to be awoken. I walked out into west Texas countryside asleep and when yelled at, I freaked out and tried to punch someone. It’s dependent on the person.
You just gotta set up a system to outsmart that reptilian part of your brain that seems to be operating the machinery during a sleepwalking episode. I'm glad you have your dog though 🤗
Definitely have a dog that looks out for you, I think there are special locks for that too or an alarm if you open a door. I knew a couple of people that took ambien to help them sleep and they did crazy stuff sleep walking and had no memory of it. There are crazy scary stories online about the things people did sleeping after taking Ambien. That should be a story on this channel. Lol
I'm just going to throw this out there... it's okay to wake up a sleep-walker. They're just sleeping. That being said though, it is a depressing story. RIP, sir.
He mentioned the few years part when he went over the possibilities of where the roommate could’ve gone. People consider some wild things in times like those
If I lived with strangers I'd have a deadbolt on my door out of paranoia. Just some deep unsettled feeling abt everyone not close enough to me to feel like family. (I sometimes wished I had a deadbolt while living with my siblings as one of my older brothers used to steal money from everyone and try to play the victim: like he needed it without trying to justify it) I'm glad she pressed charges, and a little sad he lost the eye, I would not wish that on my worst enemy; however it was self defense and survival
It is truly awful that death is needed to make people want to get sober but I'm glad he made it out and to the other side. Sobriety is a wonderful feeling.
i hate when people say blood is the most important thing its really not i have nothing to do with my moms family because they want nothing to do with me and i see my sep moms family as my own family and we are not blood
The first story had a very surprising ending! Bisexuals go both ways, and a lesbian is exclusively into women. She said clearly that she was not into guys, and is not romantically interested in or attracted to them at all! So I definitely never expected the story to end with her being married to a man, and them having a child together.
To the guy with the door in his closet... CALL THE COPS!!! they will probably check out what is in there because my guess that bad odor is probably something dead.
I hope these are fake because some of these could have been avoided by not being an idiot and trusting strangers especially when children are involved...at least it made a good story.

My absolute favorite videos of yours to watch are those that have art creation as the visual! :) Thank you for keeping up good content, sir. Have a great day!
I had to cover my ears after hearing the part about the eyeball popping out...whether it was true or not, I have such a graphic mind that the imagery nearly made me gag - it was like the equivalent of shielding one's eyes to avoid the gore in a movie and just peeking through fingers to see if the scene is over. GROSS!
I thought I was the only one that caught the inconsistency in the story regarding the choking girl. I don't know how many stories I have listened to on UA-cam where the author messes up the storyline. :-(
The guy in the Devon story should call the police and tell them there is something suspicious in his room. Also, regarding the first story, I once took a criminal justice course in community college and my teacher was a former LAPD sergeant. He showed the class some crime scene photos and in one of them, a young woman was dead and her eye had come out of her skull. It didn't dangle like in cartoons. There's muscle and stuff attached to it.
Just wanna remind you of that wonderful thing called adrenaline and that in itself makes the impossible very possible especially if you just tried to strangle your roommate and she's calling the popo on you to have you arrested for attempted murder
Wow!! I was just listening ti yiur old videos and you posted this basically right as I finished. Glad I'm getting to watch while it's not even an hour old yet!! Thanks! 🥰

Wait hold up. For the story going on at 12:20, the protagonist says she met a guy (her neighbor) and got married? She said she was into girls earlier in the story???¿
So, the last story, aside from the fact that paramedics can't declare a person dead at the scene, it's too bad, despite the myth, that colleges don't grant automatic 4.0 GPA to students whose roommates die.

This got a chuckle out of me, but I am sorry that happened to you.
@@kymbrajohnson4135 It was quite the surprise. I even laugh about it looking back
How did it play out when you caught him?
@@Jake-eo9vf He claimed he was throwing out my old roommates stuff as the guy just up and left. He was an old Chinese guy that spoke very broken English. Basically he said he thought that my stuff actually belonged to my old roommate. We could barely communicate due to the language barrier, but after the confrontation, he got out of there quick.
Mad Chatter , sounds freaky I can’t imagine walking in on that and realizing what’s going on , glad to know you got out of all that though :D
My scary roommate story is I can’t wash my dishes because one of my roommates has filled both sides of the sink over the last two weeks and won’t wash hers 🙃
Ewww sorry. I hate dirty people.
I’d be furious
Do what my mum once did to hers, dump the plates on her bed. Took great care of the problem, her roommate was too embarrassed to even try confront
The first woman wasn't attracted to men yet she married one at the end of the story...😐
The second woman said she didn't agree with childcare but she has a complete stranger watch her baby...🤔
Nunya Bidness so true lol
She said her and her husband couldn't agree on child care :)
I was thinking the same but then I thought, maybe she realized that she is bi, and mostly attracted to women but can be attracted to some men, too. haha
@Lore Sogge even if they are that doesn't excuse the people to just throw away the ideals they have. Like if your best friend doesn't like popcorn then eats three gallons of it. It doesn't make sense and makes the author seem lazy with they're writing
Lmfao
The sleepwalking story broke my heart. And the story of "charlie" . So heartbreaking
The first story really reminds me of Bundy . NEVER ASSUME that because a guy is nice and good looking, he is not a fucking psychopath
"a common m'lady"
I'm having flashbacks to that other UA-cam horror narrator who says "slecuded"
Slecluded? Well, at least it isn't supposably. 😶
Who says that? LOL
@@brasingt oh god, so many people! 😅 Another massive peeve is when someone says brought instead of bought 😩 ... I love listening to these stories but Let's Read mispronounces a lot of stuff 😄 and he also says 'as if though' 🤦♀️ instead of 'as if' or 'as though'. It's like nails down a blackboard every time 😂
To the girl with the strange roommate visiting her closet, the white powder is probably from him drilling a whole to place a micro camera to watch you. The shirts must have been moved to unblock his view or simply because of his activity in the closet. Check carefully for a pinhole size camera opening and you might be surprised.
Danny the sleepwalker made me literally cry. It's so heartbreaking :(
R.I.P Danny
😔
to the person who had the waiter roommate.... you should leave. If he has a door that smells foul, the possibility of a corpse above it, is probable. However, he's entering your room, violating your privacy, so if you ask me you should leave.
And some of these stories are the reason why I've never and will never have a roommate.
I kind of get the vibe that big brother and bully friend are more than just roomies and maybe that's why he chose to stay with the bully instead of side with little brother. JMO
so easy to fall asleep to the stories ! happy to think other people think so too
Crazy, I'm from the town where the sleep walker was from! What a sad ending.
From a child Danny's folks should've k own to put all keys in a bowl of water. The cold water would wake him up on contact.
It he didn’t live with his family, he lived with a 20 year old
Cold water becomes room temp, wouldn't have woken him up.
I like this one. The stories are all very grounded. A lot of self self awareness from the OPs. Very good.
I pretty much agreed with the little brother cut tied with his older brother for not defending him against that bully.
to the guy who got clean and sober - you’re fucking awesome and I’m so proud of you ! :))
Anthony Curtis- heartbreaking story... My brother sleep walks. This story has definitely shed some light on this
I've heard 5 horror stories today about Kansas... Where I live. I might move soon 😨
AwdChick ummm me too bro I hate Kansas anyways
Kansas is a horror story regardless lol. I live in Wichita

Story #1 to the 911 operator: “You can’t miss him, he’s carrying an eyeball.”
....I'm ashamed to admit how much this made me laugh.....
I'm sure you'll be ok :)
Also, sorry for the random question...
@@tamiruiz2766 Thanks so much for replying, I definitely learned something new. Sorry that happened to you, glad you came out of it ok!
RIP, sir.
story # 3, guy says he had didn't know Danny too well, only a few years, but then refers to him as his best friend..?
R M people can become good friends pretty quickly...?
yes, a few minutes is pretty quickly ig
He mentioned the few years part when he went over the possibilities of where the roommate could’ve gone. People consider some wild things in times like those
oh, yeah. sorry guys
R M base college is only four years?? I LOT of ppl feel like there college friends are their best friends.
#3 R.I.P. Danny. So sorry for the family & for Anthony - it wasn't your fault. You didn't know... heart goes out to you. Very tragic. God Bless xx
I love his voice! Im i the only one that craves listening to him?
No I love his voice to
The best of all
It is truly awful that death is needed to make people want to get sober but I'm glad he made it out and to the other side. Sobriety is a wonderful feeling.
The last story was so sad. Poor Sybil. Also poor the girl who had to watch that happen right in front of her
Thankx for the bedtime stories everynight

i hate when people say blood is the most important thing its really not i have nothing to do with my moms family because they want nothing to do with me and i see my sep moms family as my own family and we are not blood
The first story had a very surprising ending! Bisexuals go both ways, and a lesbian is exclusively into women. She said clearly that she was not into guys, and is not romantically interested in or attracted to them at all! So I definitely never expected the story to end with her being married to a man, and them having a child together.
The story is fake
To the guy with the door in his closet... CALL THE COPS!!! they will probably check out what is in there because my guess that bad odor is probably something dead.
Let's read I am loving these crazy roommate stories!! Keep them coming
I hope these are fake because some of these could have been avoided by not being an idiot and trusting strangers especially when children are involved...at least it made a good story.
Yeah you think they would have done a back ground check on that babysitter/roommate.
Rebecca 'Spooky' Duran she was living in their backyard, you dont do a background check on your neighbor why on someone the same distance? they shouldnt have left their kid in the care of her though
ash ash most let’s not meet stories are completely fake
The sleepwalking roommate and the dorm roommate were heartbreaking. I'm a mom of 4 my oldest daughter is 26 and doing great. My oldest son is graduating hs this year and my youngest son will be 16 and my baby girl is 13 and I can't imagine how those parents feel 😢
You make my long dark(survival video game) playthroughs more interesting! Keep up the great work!
My absolute favorite videos of yours to watch are those that have art creation as the visual! :)
Thank you for keeping up good content, sir. Have a great day!
I always love your stories! I listen to them more than music actually... your voice is just so soothing❤
GROSS!
I know what you mean
I thought I was the only one that caught the inconsistency in the story regarding the choking girl. I don't know how many stories I have listened to on UA-cam where the author messes up the storyline. :-(
The guy in the Devon story should call the police and tell them there is something suspicious in his room.
Also, regarding the first story, I once took a criminal justice course in community college and my teacher was a former LAPD sergeant. He showed the class some crime scene photos and in one of them, a young woman was dead and her eye had come out of her skull. It didn't dangle like in cartoons. There's muscle and stuff attached to it.
Just wanna say, if your eye is dangling by the stringy part.. you're not gonna be trying to break a door down...
Fyi it's called the optic nerve
@@triage9082 i thought so but i couldn't be bothered to look it up. Took the safe bet and landed on stringy thing.
@@lonerlink1993
you will if you are a killer from a slasher movie!
Thanks! 🥰
I clicked on this video immediately
This by far is the best video. It is taking me an emotional roller coaster ride
I have a four month old and I would murder someone if they tried to take my baby. I can't imagine how terrifying that must have been for those parents. 😣
I love to snuggle down in bed turn the light's off and listen to your naration's. Your voice is so soothing.
Love listening to you, found you and subscribed. You're awesome. 💕💕😘
His voice helps me sleep better, can't sleep with no noise around. Thank u 😍
Wait hold up. For the story going on at 12:20, the protagonist says she met a guy (her neighbor) and got married? She said she was into girls earlier in the story???¿
I thought the same thing haha
In the 5th story, I would've waited until the roommate left, and asked someone like an older brother or father to come over. Or both.
It's like the voice of and angel singing to make us go to sleep but with horror stories. Its heaven ! 😂😇
I really love these stories . they help me to feel relaxed and comfortable at night.
Holy Moly, good thing you played like you were sleeping and good on you for getting clean awe 💙
That eye technique disturbed me more than the rest of the stories.
Hey Lets Read! Thanks for taking the time to post! 💕😃
So, the last story, aside from the fact that paramedics can't declare a person dead at the scene, it's too bad, despite the myth, that colleges don't grant automatic 4.0 GPA to students whose roommates die.
love you let’s read your awesome and so are your stories
Yes lol good topic for today.. new roomie moved in and she is already complaining the "cats" are too loud downstairs at night
Yay! New nightmares to go asleep to
I injoy listening too the story telling ..can't get enough of all the stories hear! !!!!!!!!.

That first story seemed like a fabricated pile of garbage.
Like it was so exaggerated and to my knowledge not even medically accurate.
Complete and total crap. The icing on the cake is Frank's grandfather invented paperclips or something lol
Talkin about the dangly eye thing or the gay to straight thing?
Story 7 is why you don’t judge a book by it’s cover, people are always trying to “fit in” someway or another. Also why you should always understand your surroundings .
Heart breaking in any bestfriend death... i know.
God story 1 broke my heart. Also the end of story 4 about the drug addict was so inspiring.
In the third story i was waiting for him to like try to kill him while sleepwalking or something. But it was just sad. man.
