To anybody that enjoys these stories... Get a membership to the channel. Ive never paid for a youtube membership in my life, but i had a long weekend off from work followed by a snow day, so i had a run of late nights with nothing to do. I usually just listen to old favorite Let's Read stories that ive heard before, but i saw he had a whole slew of members only stuff. I figured why not give it a shot. For $5 i can try some out and just cancel if it sucks... Well, i was more than pleased with my decision. There are multiple 1+ hour short stories that are absolutely amazing. Like 30 or 40 videos that are a mix of compilations like this video and videos that are one single story that last 60-90 minutes. A few of them have multiple parts, so you can really get sucked in... So anyway, give it a shot. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The cage found in the wildness was the stuff of nightmares. The fact that it had no opening and seemed purposefully built made me wonder who - or what - it was for. Sometimes it's better not to have all the awnsers, but it haunting
For a moment I thought the writer was describing one of the metal frames for one of those heavy duty plastic trash containers that are usually in rural areas😅
I thought perhaps it was a cage that authorities or property owners sometimes build over cave entrances. This is primarily to keep curious, inexperienced, and/or unprepared explorers from disappearing into dangerous caves and never returning. I’ve seen a couple of cave entrances out in the forests of the Appalachians, one tucked away between a boulder and a cliff face, and the other under the root ball of a giant tree. The smaller of the two was only about 20” at its widest dimension, and I’m told it opened up about 10 feet down into a passageway a person could stand up in. Apparently there was a 75’+ vertical drop a little further down, plus a maze of other cracks, caves, crevices, and crannies (as opposed to nooks) below that. Caves are a real hazard, and it isn’t always possible to just seal them up. When dangerous cave entrances are found, they’re often covered in a variety of ways, including with rebar cages. Then again, it’s entirely possible this was something else, like someone who nabbed lone backpackers or was on the hunt for a Samsquatch.
I am always glad when Let's Read uploads a new video. I wanted to go to sleep but will probably listen to the whole episode. Damn you Joel and your velvet voice! ❤😊
