HikariYaoi2625 Madoka wishes for magical girls to die before their soul is corrupted and they become witches. So the witch that killed Mami doesn't exist, so Mami doesn't die.
What?! She didn't wish for them to die before they turned into witches. She wished that witches would never come into existence in the first place. She wished to be the one who would slay all the witches and took all of their soul gems away so they wouldnt have to fight anymore. She became a god and freed all the other magical girls. At the end Kubei was all like "Lol The hell is a witch?!"
@@angeliicdescent Until you feel despair for 1 second and Madokami appears and you go to magical girl heaven leaving your family wondering what happened.
Mami inspires so much hope in me. Every time I hear this, I can't help but be overwhelmed with happiness optimism. It makes me feel light... and... I feel like I'm not afraid of anything anymore!
Imma Xehanort Despite knowledge learned later in the series I'll never figure out why neither of them even thought about wishing her back after she died. It just seemed to be something that went over there heads
Now let me say that i agree with you, but my point was to say that they never had the idea to. I would say that if given the option a lot of people would choose to bring someone back and it just surprised me that they didn't.
+Jan Prachenský not necessarily. Remember the 2 ways you can die if your magical are(SPOILERS): 1. If you use up too much magic or fall into despair and become a witch 2. Your soul gem is damaged in anyway shape or form
+darkroronoa I believe you can. If you can recall in the episode just before Sayaka turned into a witch, she was talking to Kyouko and said, " For all the happiness you wish for someone, someone else gets cursed with equal misery." So if you wish for your happiness, you're helping to make someone else's life miserable. And vice versa. Sayaka herself is prove. She wished for Kyouske's happiness and fell into despair. Kyouko might've too when her wish backfired, if not for her point of view on life. Mami wished to live and that was selfish and even if she cried sometimes, she didn't fall into despair even with how lonely she was. And that was probably the same with Kyouko. She probably mourned her family's death but decided to move on, like is normal with a lot of families. Either that or she disliked her father so much after that witch comment and didn't care.
I really like how you put that! How she is eternally beautiful and flawless to the fans. She's like a perpetually inspirational spirit that was tainted by the truth, even if she was in an alternate timeline. And after death, she still continued to be beautiful and flawless. Very interesting, indeed!
Honestly, in my opinion, Mami was the best character. She was so strong and selfless. And she was beautiful and calm. She never stopped believing. She was like a dream.
I've heard there are plans to continue the series in some way, after the end of the movie where Homura was able to use the power of evil love to get exactly what she wanted. It makes it clear in the movie that Madoka still remembers who she was and what happened, at least to some degree, and apparently there's supposed to be a new series where Mami is the one leading the good magical girls to save the world from Homura as a newly risen God of War. Which, if true, would be real kickass.kickers. I just hope that if that's true, it also includes Tart from one of the spin-off manga, which is what the called Joan of Arc, who was a magical girl. But not just any magical girl. Apparently she was so powerful that she was able to make a wish to "become strong enough to save France" in the war, and instead of getting the pretty basic power that wish would normally grant, she got almost godlike power. When she finally ultimately died, she was so powerful that she was able to create a sort of Heaven for magical girls, which she acts as the guardian angel of, so they can actually have something good once their job is complete. I've heard theories that it remained unaffected when Homura changed everything, since it had somebody as powerful as Tart protecting it. Who can say, though? It seems unlikely that we'll ever really get any more of the series, but I hope we do.
I'll admit when I saw the description I was a little skeptical, because most of the compiled niconico vids end up being more ear rape than anything else. This surprised me, in a good way. I loves it.
For those wondering, these are the lyrics. They are a mix of japanase, latin and many european laguages Salti roiyary tamarie pastiarasa resting (ah~) Salti roiyary pirarya soltia reiya resting (ah~) (Huwa) Gritariya pirarifu safariha (yui) Yasoriiya (il) zay fariya (Salti roiya) Salti Oane
@LuigiBros4502 Note when she fought the first witch she was calm and collected whenever she got into trouble she got out easily, but she was so happy when madoka was going to be her friend that she froze up in battle, which is a reference to the theme kyube and homora were going on at the time...happiness brings despair
@Ravage27 I agree, my friend refused to continue this after the first episode, it took me forever to convince them (about 3 weeks of spamming them youtube messages and bugging them in real life), I finally got her when I spoiled the fact gen urobuchi is the woriter :)
@glauciafplove @744268 It's in Kajiuran, a language that she wrote and only like 5 people have any understanding of. Quite a lot of her music is written in it, including most of Mai Hime and Madlax's soundtracks.
I think Mami's death symbolises what this show is about, but not in the way that its a tragic story or anything. Mami is pretty much the typical magical girl. Strong sense of justice, badass finisher moves and graceful transformations. When she is killed off, I think its a way of saying "There are no typical magical girls in this show." or something. But everyone probably realised that by now. xD
Actually there is a spin off of the original series that presents an alternate timeline in which at the moment she was fighting Charlotte she didn't know Madoka yet, she fights the witch not showing off and without distractions and she survives that fight. There's even an inside job in that manga, Mami says something like "I could have died in this one, if I have let down my guard." The spin off is "Oriko Magica".
It's what makes us human. Even those like Mami could not be perfect. It's depressing when it comes to Sayaka. And this show in general. So yes, fragility is depressing when it rips us and our loved ones apart.
@SemimaruSakagami LOL. NO. This is Kajiurago, a made-up language by the composer, Yuki Kajiura. It's a mash-up of Japanese, Greek, Latin, and other gibberish words so basically, the lyrics mean absolutely NOTHING. If it does, only Yuki Kajiura knows.
I can practically hear her say 'don't cry for me'.

Oh
Reading my comment a second time, I noticed that it seems as if I was in mourning.
Really, it just seemed like sad thing
Rest in Peace Mami.

The point is that because of Madoka's wish, she isn't killed by a witch.
Her transformation is very pretty, but this song just wraps it all up together.. it wouldn't be the same without it...
I agree completely.
Anyone else feel like a magical girl walking around listening to this? ☺️

@Quadraxis It's a dual meaning. When he tells them to become "magical girls," he's also saying they should become his "magical slave."
Rest in peace mami, or is she still alive I'm confused
She comes back to life
Rosy123 lies and misinformation, she doesn't come back from anything, she's reborn, along with the universe, so she doesn't
Madoka magica why must you be so confusing
The Fox Laboratory It really isn’t.
I thought she's living in a another universe. Because Homura's voyages into different timelines makes multiples versions of all Maho Shoujos.
Wow this is gorgeous!
I never noticed how hymn-like this piece would sound without a modern accompaniment.
