I know it's been a long time since you posted this but it's perfect for my ongoing project. I appreciate that you shared this video (and the one specifically about the knots you used.)
I literally tried it twice, I left it in the treehouse cause if I needed it it was there. But it got stolen pretty soon :( So I put a lot of work into something what's probably rotting a way at some kids house ;) So I have no idea how long it will stretch. But I don't thing it would stretch more than 50cm or so. It was pretty static rope
@@fredvlog I thought it was good, & I might make a ladder like this for my 4x4, so I appreciate you documenting your experiment 👍 I don’t know why people expect everyone to be professional filmmakers or why they feel the need to be rude about it. Hope life’s going well for you Fred.
There is a super quick and easy way to do the butterfly knot in the middle of the rope without the need to pull the whole rope through. 🤫. Seriously just Google it, it takes 5 seconds.
wasnt this guy one of the burglars in home alone?

You're very welcome! I'm too busy lately but I might share some vids in the future ;)
Oh! Knots! Lol for a few minutes, I was thinking he was trying to make it with nuts --like the ones that screw onto bolts.
Me too
nice camo trousers dude! , thanks for the video, ill try to do the ladder to play with the kids in a forest school in Mallorca, spain
mixed up combination ;) but the rope ladder works :) cool to hear about others using it. forest school must be something awesome !!!
Very nice!!!!! Thanx for the info
thanks for the idea
Please try alpine butterfly knot on the both side. Nice example though.
if i get you correct, using a 30m of rope will give you about 8m of ladder, right?
The second knot at 2:20 is classified? :-)
I made a video on both of the knots. Otherwise this vid became to long ;)
How long was the rope before making ladder?
30m And after being finished the ladder was 8m long
Assuming it will lengthen when you load it. How long was it after using it?

Please I want this video very slowly. I need a good focus 😏
You could've shown people how to tie that knot in this video instead of saying, and showing it in a different video. 👎
Hey.....thanks a bundle for NOT showing us how to make the knot.......sorry but the point of the video is WHAT?
just to share the idea. and I do have separate videos of both knots on my channel. I figured it would be a long video if I put everything in one vid.
If you look in the description you will find the URL
Thats right i really wanted to watch a littlebit of a slowmotion
Very poor demo
Maybe I make a better one someday. I didn't really thought that this much people would watch this video. ;)
very long video with a lack of substance...
explanation of the knots are in the description… otherwise it was a much longer video… but i got the point ;)

He made the fast butterfly knot - twist a loop twice & pull end over and through center loop. I think it’s the Angela(?) knot that he pulled through.
