Thanks Mark! It's definitely an interesting set. I like some of the images, but others not so much. The coloring for the most part is very subtle. Still gives the appearance of a black and white photograph.

My pleasure Kevin. I think this set flies under the radar for most vintage collectors unless you are looking for a Joe DiMaggio card and early cards of Ford, Musial, Rizzuto, and Spahn. Was a little surprised at how few of them have been graded by PSA. I don't think there are lots of ungraded copies out there so that's probably the reason.
I like this set and am fortunate to have had the Joe DiMaggio card for nearly 20 years in my collection. Like the 55 Bowman this set seems to be polarizing where people either love it or just don’t like it. Thanks for doing these John. I enjoy them very much.
Thanks Drew! Awesome that you have the DiMaggio! Overall I like the set, but just like 49 Bowman set, the registration on some can be way off, making it hard for me to appreciate the card. I think they did much better with the 52 Berk Ross set in that regard.

Thanks RJ. True, I never thought about showing off some of the other non-baseball cards. I was just concentrating on the baseball players since that's what these Top 10 videos focus on. But if I do another set that has multiple-sport players I'll try to remember to include some of them.
Did they forget Hockey players? interesring to hear about Golfers and figure skaters? surprised for 1951 Bob Lemon just missed the top 10!!! not saying he should be number 1 but I 'm a little surprised that he's not at least number 6? who's BillyGoodman? is he a hall of famer that we never heard of or a common player that alot of people are asking for to complete their sets? nice Rizzuto , Warren Spahn , Yogi , Stan , Musial , Whitey Ford Surprised no Dodger No Duke , No Jacke no other Dodger surprised about that. I like the different poses!!!!
There are some hockey players in the set along with some track and field athletes. I just didn't mention all the other sports. Billy Goodman isn't a Hall of Famer, but he did win the AL batting title in 1950 and finished second in MVP voting that year, so it made sense that he was part of the 1951 set. As for his value, I don't know if he is in the 1951 Bowman set so his card might be popular for those looking to collect cards of batting title winners. Plus I think there are a good number of Red Sox team collectors out there so they would want his card along with the Dom DiMaggio card as those were the only two Red Sox players featured in the set. As I mentioned, the set was filled primarily with Yankees and Phillies players since those teams went to the World Series in 1950. So with only 40 baseball players in the set, some players got left off. In fact, there were some teams that didn't have any players in the set including the Brooklyn Dodgers. But they definitely missed out on not having Duke Snider and Jackie Robinson as part of the set.
