Man I need this done so bad. I think it says a lot about a person who is able to say their guy missed the clogged gutters. I respect that. I wish you lived near chattanooga!
I saw this video a couple months ago and thought it was a genius idea. I have a client that I will be going to this morning and will be trying this. Wish me luck
Thats an interesting way to clean out under the covers. I watched one of your other videos on cleaning the french drains with this tool. We get asked about it but never offer it since I always figured its more what a plumber does. Didn't look too bad though. When our customers have guards we either offer to clean the tops and flush down spouts our remove guards, clean gutters then reinstall guards. Takes time but we charge accordingly for it.
Very nice work! I’m wondering if you can rent that power blaster tool from a home improvement store? That is a genius idea! All the gutter cleaning companies around us I’ve asked for quotes for say they’d have to remove the gutter guards and it’s going to cost upwards of $400 which is not in my current budget so I’m just going to do it myself.
We presume they get no snow. This gutter is too high for that. Snow requires that the outside edge of the gutter is low enough that a straightedge from the roof stays above it. Here is why. Snow partially thaws, then refreezes into a slab of slush. Then heat from the attic melts the bottom first, causing the heavy frozen slush slab to release, slide down, hit the gutter, and its immense weight tears off the gutter. Happened to us. Had remount the entire torn off gutter lower as it should have been to begin with.
Very little snow here. We have a lot of metal roof over porches that have horrible insulation. Every time we do get snow or ice gutters always get ripped off.
Some folks have to clean their gutters every few weeks/months. In these situations guards make sense. However we take off more guards and throw them away than we install. Seldomly do we recommend guards.
Both. Most trucks have a "buffer tank" which supplies a steady supply to our machines. At times the machines use more than the customer's hose will provide. The customer's hose simply refills the buffer tank. Very seldom does ANY service provider truck in 100% of the water being used. When we do have to truck in 100% of the water we charge accordingly.
Hmm...... The point of gutter guards is so we don't have to go up there anymore in the first place, then leave the gutter guards off and just go up and clean the gutters as before!!
@@divcleaningservice9522 agree also - I clean gutters as a side business and tell people that installing and forgetting about maintenance is not a good idea. I am sure you do the same. There is a lot of business out there to fetch on gutter systems that are going bad. Redos of roofs, as you suggest, they never match well. Only if you have the right gutter guards. Want to know how to choose your guard? Look at the trees around your house. If you have pine trees and gutter guards with a large screen, the gutter guards may as well just be decoration. You're going to get pine needles all in that system. Go with a mesh gutter guard. You'd be surprised how many people think just any gutter guard is a set and forget.
@@adriangutierrez3792 there are no right gutter guards they all let some form of debris in whether that's part of the asphalt shingle granules or seeds that fall in from trees nearby and if you don't have them cleaned off on top of the gutter guards the leaves and sticks that just hang up there will degrade and essentially turn into a mulch or soil which then allows the seeds to grow And that's how they get filled up most the gutter that I clean that have gutter guards they only have the granules from the asphalt shingles maybe in one or two spots they might have a little bit extra depending on where trees are located but for the most part you're always going to get something in your gutter guards that at some point needs to be cleaned out
It makes a huge mess. At times guards and nailed into the roof sheeting and covered with shingles, so a jetter is the only way to clean under them without damaging the shingles.
We removed the guards for the repair not the cleaning. The jetter will clean under the guards, but the gutters would have had a low spot in the middle.
The Compassionate Capitalist not the video. The gutter guards I had to clean looked like cut pieces of wire mesh that were just pushed into the gutters. Not screwed like the ones you show.

Y'all are very detail oriented, good job!
TY! We try to be.

Guards and drains are a PITA. Some are easy and straight forward. . . Others not so much.
I like to open one end a 3-6 foot section and one middle and work to the ends. Brushing the tops is important also as you suggest.
Hey sir love the videos! I was wondering what you use for gutter brightening? Thanks!
Scrub them down with butyl based cleaner, then rinse them off. ua-cam.com/video/lRw7rybX27s/v-deo.html
Well, you did remove them. How do i get bees out of my covered gutter? I can't take the cover off. It's leave guard. Please advise
What is that attachment called. Can’t find one in shops
Did you check the fascia board? Might be rotted out

You can buy the "jetter kit" tool from Amazon for $50ish then rent a pressure washer from most home improvement stores.
Excellent video
Ty!
What is the accessory that you are using and where can I possibly find it. Or what did you use to build that, it would help alot!
"jetter tip" you can order basic ones off Amazon.
Your logo is covering where your pointing to look at in the video
Sorry about that!
Hey man, what would you call the equipment?
"hydro jetter"
That's a good way of getting water under the shingle and rotting out the plywood.
Definitely have to be careful.

His company is North Carolina; they don’t see much snow.

do you know of a product that you could install to bridge gap horizontally between sections to minimize organic matter slipping underneath
Guards that are installed properly overlap slightly. You notch the front lip and overlap by 1/2"
Do you know the manufacturer of these gutter guards? I have the same on my house and would like some replacement parts.
There are a TON, sorry I don't know this specific one.
I’m wondering why have a guard if it causes more hassle to clear out muck. I’m getting to an age that I can’t get on a ladder safely.

did you need a pressure washer or do you connect the jet to hose?
Pressure washer
So I guess gutter guards are like toaster covers….just one more thing to clean. 😂
yep basically
When you are doing work like this do u bring your own water or do u use the customers water?

Gutter guards are worthless!
They definitely require maintenance that most people don't know about.
omg these gutters r so annoying cudnt they design low maintenances houses in America i dont get it
Annoying and keeps us busy working. lol
Don’t clean your guards! Call the dealer, if you have a good product they will do it for you free of charge
Good luck with that. lol
Looks like those gutter guards are worthless.

"without removing the guards" in the title, yet he removes the guards? wtf. Besides, they're supposed to be "leafless"? lame.

ok understood. Unfortunately guards rarely preform as well as home owners are expecting.
Donovan, how do you price out the gutter flushes under the guards like this job?
@@jaredbilsland6606 usually $225 minimum. Its by the job, but We try to make $2-300/hr anytime using the power washer.
Gutter guards are a ripoff
Some work well, but most do not.
