Cereal isn't cheap. A box of cereal cost as much as a pack of thighs and legs.
Exactly, especially in grocery stores in low income areas
facts. a box of cereal is about $5. i can buy an entire rotisserie chicken for that price 🙄
Expensive , smaller bags in that smaller box and who just eats one bowl?
Testify
Gotdamn!😂 i dont eat cereal but i love thighs and you getting ripped off if the cereal cost as much as the thighs do
Its the audacity of a billionaire to tell working people to eat cereal to save money 😂
Shid cereal high asf too
But what's wrong with that? Clearly they know something. Even Warren Buffett loved eating McDonald's 🤷🏾♀️, which is pretty cheap considering what he can afford and how much it cost back in the day.
@@MsSwankie10because he’ll become even more rich from this
Entitlement needs to stop.
@@mackcity74gdn89that’s why you pay attention to sale ad. Bogo.
NEVER let a billionaire dictate to you how you should spend or live.
💯💯💯
Is this sarcastic?
Fax
Thats why they a billionaire and you broke 😊
Do you let *anyone **_dictate_* how you spend or live??
Cereal isn't even nutritionally sound. 🙄 As rich as he is, he didn't consult with a publicist before making such an asinine comment?
With toast and sausage on the side I'm sold
Rich people are CLUELESS and DUMB!!
That’s my thought! It’s full of sugar, not healthy at all. No one should eat cereal..I don’t
@@nikki_fearless
This is an inaccurate statement because it is not inherently true for all cereals.
That said, I am personally unaware of any _Kellogg's_ cereal that is wholly healthy.
Of course that doesn't mean that it/they does/do not exist, I am just not aware of such.
Cereal is horrible for you. The sugar intake in most of them is insane. Just eat unhealthy 😂😂
After 14 years, I think this the first time we’ve talked about breakfast on The Breakfast Club 😅😅😅😅
The conversation is about dinner. You slow.
BREAKFAST for dinner. Can’t be slower than you 😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The conversation is about breakfast FOOD for DINNER. How dumb can y'all be?
Good One 😅
Stopped buying cereal for my family years ago, best decision I ever made. Cereal is filled with pure garbage and ridiculous amounts of sugar, artificial colors, and additives.
Depends on type of cereal you buy...
@@ezekiellove6853most of them aren’t good for you, even Cheerios is trash.
All junk!! They trying to kill people!
@@SLees-tv7gh The reality is that most things you eat aren't good for you in some way, even the things you believe are healthy, so you're really playing a game of quantity and excess avoidance when it comes to health. The body is an extremely unique machine and processes things differently from person to person. Unless you grew or curated it yourself from an exact, pure, known source, you have no idea what's in it, regardless of what the label tells you. Also, as I've aged, I'm realizing that most brothers and sisters really have no clue what it's like to live in poverty, and what they believe to be the black experience is usually just a slight tier down from the average middle-class white family. Living in pure destitution as a child, I can tell you right now that in volatile situations, a cheap box of Raisin Bran and milk with a banana can go a long way the night before a test or when you need to get homework done. All I hear is the perspective of middle-class privileged evangelical/fraternity offspring who just masquerade as if they know what it’s like to get it out of the mud. It's hilarious to hear, honestly.😂
The increse in cancer are do to all the chemicals in the food , chemicals that are banned in other countries at that plus all this fake ass meat fruits ect the food is killing people . @@Dynasty19
Before anyone eats cereal for dinner, try grits or oatmeal 🤷🏿♂️
Oatmeal at night will have you sleeping on the toilet. I love oats, had some this morning with peanut butter as usual.
Nah, just give me the cereal
That is HORRIBLE advice. VERY high in carbs and will raise your blood sugar, just to crash you out and then guess what? 🤔 You’ll crave MORE and…they cycle continues
@@manfromthepast😂
Now imagine what they say and how they think about poor people in their homes or meetings
They actually don’t think about poor people at all if you want to know the truth. I work in very wealthy circles and they don’t even acknowledge the existence of the poor. 🤷🏽♀️
@@dinkyboss 😳😳😳. Truly shocking…
It’s also his way of saying “buy cereal and make me richer, guys…”
Not understanding how people are not seeing this. They stuck on the dinner part wtf.
That's exactly what I was getting from that billionaire. Especially knowing their cereal is high as hell. Smdh
That’s exactly what my daughter said.
Obviously
Exactly
Those cereal boxes have gotten so much smaller & expensive! I walked by them the other day & was confused on why the boxes were so damn small
One box can literally give you 4 bowls maybe 5... Not the family size either
Just like the potato chip bag.
Facts

2:15 That interviewer at least tried to give Gary a chance to save himself by asking “would the message land the wrong way?”, and dude just doubled down 😅
Yeah lol...the interviewer gave him an off-ramp but playboy was like "I'm good!!"😂
2pac was so ahead of his time 🐐
Yep! Look at all the smash and grab thefts going on in the stores now. He hit the nail on the head.
2 PAC was speaking like a hood MLK
Every time I even WANT to buy some cereal just for like a snack or whatever. Then I see the price, it's like $7-8 now? Nah, I'm good.
Exactly
The price of cereal has gone up as well.
For less product😡
Yeah, Bidennomics is working great. Lol. Make up America . I will never be fooled by the democratic party again. No Party is perfect but Dems are becoming evil
You gotta remember the original OG Kellogg guy invented the cereal because he thought tasty food caused people to whack off and eating only bland things would cure sexual desires. That company literally been CRAZY since day one.
👊🏾😂💯
Not to mention he funded eugenics and was very racist…
Dead ass I just said the exact same thing 😂
This was the comment I was looking for 😂
The fact that people are eating cereal at all.. that’s basically just a bowl of sugar.
This!
💯
My favorite affordable meal is Ramen Noodles & Costco Rotisserie Chicken... it's incredibly filling, & tasty too!
that sounds amazing
Watch the sodium
You can tell the difference between someone who has lived in struggle and did not have to struggle. This Ceo is so off-topic that he sounds delusional. The war on poverty started in the early 1960s when Lyndon B. Johnso. was President. There is still a disconnect into what is causing poverty. Lack of jobs, lack of affordable and adequate housing, lack of access to affordable education, lack of access to healthcare, lack of access to food, especially nutrious food that is affordable and available to the masses and lack of acknowledgement that poverty is a nationwide crisis and everyone has the fundamental right for access to food , clothing, and housing. Why is this still a war on poverty with America being the richest country. The war on poverty under Johnson and every other president has been a failure. Along with the war on drugs and a national mental health crisis not being addressed.
Well said. You are one of the few who can see what is going on. ❤
Well, it is very inexpensive to cook healthy nutritional meal. Most Americans are addicted to every processed food, fast food, sugary food . Etc.
❤❤❤❤
Oatmeal with nuts and fruit is much better.
He does not care if you eat or not; they want you to eat cereal to save their company.
Gary should donate a % of sales to help beat hunger instead of selling cereal as a good meal for people. Sad!!
"So now, what do you think we're gonna do? Ask?"
It's giving "let em eat cake"
Cereal for dinner never me.... I would rather have some noodles.
If I’m tired from a long day or I came home so late, you best to believe I’m hooking me up a bowl of cereal lol.
Crazy part is we did eat that a couple times for dinner when we were in the projects and it came from a church that gave out free boxes.
That Tupac insert was top tier
I felt every word unc Charla said. STFU “rich, privileged, disconnected”
Eating cereal for more than a snack to hold me over before I go out is depressing 😂😂😂
Why can’t companies eat the cost of inflation instead of passing it on to consumers
If they had cereal for dinner more often I’m sure that would help offset and financial impact on shareholders☺️☺️
tbh its not even inflation anymore, its legit price gouging. They are using inflation as an excuse to do it.
I use to eat cornflakes n water. You got these billionaires tellin people what to do. 💢😡
They ain't never been through poverty or in a tight situation in they life. *Audacity!*
I did too
No offense but eating cereal with water is a hell no 😂. I rather eat it dry or separately without using water if I’m out of milk.
Our society is so ridiculous because of stories like this. All of these folks who call themselves high class because of their net worths treat the working class like complete garbage. They will have to give an account for their mistreatment one day.
“Consumer Under Pressure” is a wild way to describe your customers.
Growing up in the 70’s it was dinner in the hood!
We was eating Cereal when it wasn’t even a dinner option when I was growing up. 😂😂
The CEO of Kellogg can put some of those billions of dollars that the poverty stricken community has put in his pockets back into the community and place affordable Whole Foods stores in proverty stricken areas to name a few! Just disgusting!
That isn't capitalism. 🇺🇲
Why yall always begging
Grilled cheese sandwiches?
Everything going up but pay. Cereal bags don't even be filled to the top. They don't need that much air in the bags 😂
Thank you!! And Envy said you can get 25... yes 25 servings out of a cereal box!! Wtf!??
I ain't even gone lie.... My grandmother still says this to this day if you hungry and she not cooking her words " let me introduce you to the cereal box" and it be off brand cereal!!!😂😂😂😂
When y'all wake up you'll know these ppl on the radio station are not broke
Exactly
Wtf u gone get 10 meals for $1?? I need to hop on that!!😂😂
He doesn't know how much Kellogs cereal and milk cost! That's for rich people! Almost $8 dollars a box and kids usually eat 2 bowls and don't drink the freaking milk! A dollar a bowl my arse!!
💯
Great Value is insane 😭 we had Flakes Frosted 3:18
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 Memories
I absolutely loooove that interview with Pac. It speaks volumes STILL!
Big Mack look right at home with The Breakfast Club.
Funny how in the middle of this video a ad for Honey Bunches of Oats popped up 😂
Charla needs to become an activist. He should be Tamika D Mallory’s right hand man.
This is not a POVERTY conversation, this is a HEALTH conversation. Kellogg and the many products they market and the WAY they market is part of the PROBLEM, not the SOLUTION. Big Agriculture and big pharma go hand and hand and spend MILLIONS of dollars to make sure they can get anyone they can on the diabetes to Ozempic/insulin dependency pipeline that has been created in this country. Cereal is extremely high carb and is made with ingredients and amounts of ingredients with a very VERY very high glycemic index and almost completely empty calories that are converted to fat and contribute to insulin resistance. Because their products are almost fully empty calories, your brain will tell you to eat more in an attempt to gain nourishment. You will in turn become obese and very sick and all America does is DRUGS! I’ve been a nurse for 22 years in CA and I’ve seen it every day. Companies like Kellogg, Pepsi and Coca Cola spend MILLIONS of dollars to lobby to make sure that the SNAP program only allows people enough money to buy process foods like cereal, and other very dangerous overly processed, empty calorie foods. By doing this, the children are way too fat, prediabetic before adolescence and then they push Ozempic to them and tell them that it’s not their fault, they have no control over their own eating habits and tell them that making better food choices by will not solve the problem.
Well said, big bro💜🙏🏾👍🏽🥰
Cereal for dinner ? Nucca what ?!!! No thanx I’ll work some OT 🙄😂
Don’t get all booghee and uppity with your OT lol
Just WOW This is unreal 🤦🏾♂️
If you eat Kelloggs or give it to your loved ones, you clearly lack self awareness and knowledge.
I mean we do😂 but I’m outraged 😡 😂
Facts, growing up we couldn't afford name brand cereal
Food isn’t a necessity but a luxury according to “them” just like housing and everything else
A large 5lb bag of rice, a few cans or frozen bags of vegetables, and a large pack of chicken can cost you about $15. If you have flour, butter, and chicken seasoning, you can make your own gravy sauce. You can also make that meal into a creamy chicken rice and veggie stew. One of our fav meals.
As long as everyone is not over eating, that meal could feed 4 kids dinner for a whole week. It could feed a man dinner for a week (like my husband 6’3 240lbs). One plate of food for him could literally feed 4 kids and they would be full.
For me I’m half his size and that could be breakfast, lunch, and dinner for me for a full week with maybe some left over. 😂. My grandmother taught me how to make a whole lot of something out of nothing for a village of people.
I’m picking the lock comin thru blasting 😂😂😂😂😂
"Consumer under pressure" 🤔 wonder how many meetings it took to come up with that spin 😆 ill have to lowkey start using that while complaining at the store
2:45 bleak times we live in. "trend that we would expect to continue as that consumer is under pressure."
Was listening to Joe Rogan & Katt Williams discuss this same issue yesterday regarding Billionaires and their disconnect from just basic human understanding and because they mingle amongst each other (where there is no need or want of anything) they become amnesic to ordinary citizen concerns.
The fact that Katt went on Joe Rogan is a problem in itself
My God!! Make that Ninja Donkey of the day for the entire month of March. 😢
Ramen noodles anyone?
All that sodium! Hell no😂
Causes cancer now, apparently 😒
Ramen noodles and save some the uncooked to add on top to add some garnish 😂
Very unhealthy
He sound no different than the Queen of France Marie Antoinette saying LET THEM EAT CAKE
I would heat up bread with butter in a pan and then put syrup on it and it tastes like pancakes.
Also did mayonnaise sandwiches with sugar water
That’s sad. My mother had to do the same when she was a child. God is a joke to me
9:40 not jess with the deontay wilder "TO THIS DAY!"
THIS is the DOTD that I come here for.
MORE of this please.
All I know is it 11 something Eastern time and when I finish my Za. I'm gonna eat the last of the cinnamon toast crunch 😂 facts 💯
I will NEVER buy a Kellogg’s product again
Great value hits better than some big brands. Great value cookies & crème ice cream at Walmart is fyeeeeeeeeee!🤣🤣
The moment they start talking about food, Big Mac comes out of nowhere 😂
Many times I had to eat cereal for breakfast and no matter how many bowls I ate it just didn't satisfy the hunger.
I was always a general mills cereal guy anyway.
I mean he said add fruits to your wheat flakes.... they make a lot of different brands, i dont think he is referring to sugary garbage cereal.
The other week when I ain’t had nothing in the refrigerator I improvised with some penne pasta a can of tuna some mayo relish and red onion, when I tell you soo good 😌
Unfortunately I do and have...that n noodles while I struggled for years so im not mad but damn dont push it like is nutritious
Surge pricing for lunch and cereal for dinner?!?! We were tripping when we thought we would have flying cars by now.
Been doing that
Cereal DOES slap though. This is just right message WRONG ASF messenger 😭
A lot of us have eaten cereal for dinner.. I don’t understand the outrage
You hv that choice. It's the fact that he's TELLING PPL LIKE HE'S AN EXPERT OR LIKE IT HAD NEVER BEEN DONE. IT'S ALSO THAT KELLOGS COST MORE. IF YOU'RE SERIOUSLY SUPER POOR YOU'RE NOT BUYING KELLOGS AND IT'S NOT A NEW IDEA. HE'S ALSO ONLY SAYING THAT AS A MARKETING PLOY, NOT BECAUSE HE CARES. HE'S PLAYING IN YOUR FACE AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IT.
@laylo5999 u still have that choice.. dont think he got a law passed saying u have to eat cereal for dinner..
Can of mackrel poured over white rice.. if you got old bay have at it… sardines, butter bread sandwiches, toast wit syrup.. we can go all day
The chair became a lowrider! Lmao😂
10:28 you have to cut the brown and serve up and put it in your Ramen
AND YOU NINJAS GOING TO LISTEN TO KELLOGGS 😂😂😂
Spaghetti and meat sauce…..any noodle and ground beef like box Mac and cheese with ground beef, Ramon noodles, potatoes, rice and beans, pbj, chili
He said all of that to also then tell us they got a whole catering companies and two different types of Mac and cheese 😂😂😂
That was stupid ass Jess
The average box of family size cereal in California is $6.99-$8/box. A gallon of milk is $6-7/gallon. How is THAT AFFORDABLE for a struggling family??? Not to mention, the unmitigated gall to suggest a family eat cereal for dinner is disgusting!!
THE FACT that he's telling impoverished people to eat something thats BANNED in other countries is crazy !!!
When I was broke I used to eat cereal for dinner all the time
"...and we expect that trend to continue as the consumer is under pressure." 🤔🧐 DAMN BRUH...TF?? 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ THIS CEO TRIPPIN' FRFR 😤😤😤
I am surprised, The Breakfast Club does not have an interview with Dolton mayor tiffany henyard
Let her lying ass stay where she is lol.
😭😭😭 the door is soundproof!!
Grilled cheese, tuna sandwich, pb&j , can of sweet corn
Jelly sandwich?
Just make toast my boy!😂
Cereal prices are rising, and they have been cutting 1-3oz out of the boxes since covid.
Ketchup sandwiches, cheese slice sandwiches, cookies, Vienna sausages, whew I do not miss those days.
When I'm low on money I eat beans greens and cornbread I love it
i be taking a deep breath & a nap for dinner sometimes tf
🎵 all I wanna say is that they don't really care about us 🎵
They have been fool , you better ask somebody ! 💯🤔🤷🏾♂️😂😂😂😂😂🥛🥣
What was he thinking they should eat fried chicken 🍗 daily lol 😆 hahahaha
Cheese sammich, meatless spaghetti, eggs, struggle meals. What’s interesting is seeing whypipo who’ve never been poor go crazy because they now have to live poor. Some of them don’t know how to grocery shop properly
