Many people didn't grow up in toxic environments... and are still toxic. Some people grow up with married parents... but can't keep a relationship. Some people are drug addicts... but grew up with sober parents
Some are comfortable in their misery and don't wanna put in the work to get up out of it. Some are too stubborn and prideful to admit they chose wrong, they're more concerned about their image than their well-being. And some are ignorant to the fact it's toxic, because they're so numb from experiencing and seeing it since a child.

My parents argued often, although I know that their relationship was very unhealthy, it was 'normal' for me. Breaking that cycle has been a challenge. Learning from those past relationships, moving forward in life is the goal.
I don't think people necessarily love toxic relationships its just that these types of relationships engage your feelings strongly and its hard to walk away from something you are heavily emotionally invested in.
