    2 things,
In the glare shield panel, just left of the barometer selection knob there is a button called "MTRS" which is essentially opens an altimeter in the PFD that reads the altitude in meters.
For Offsetting just press RTE on the 747 FMC and on the bottom right corner you can enter an offset distance and the plane will follow it i.e. L05 for Left of track 5nm, or R20 which is Right of track 20nm.
    Hope these helps :)

A 737 too! But not entirely out of reality: Pan Am did have a hub operation in Tokyo (first from RJTT, then RJAA when it opened), which was sold to United along with the rest of their Pacific division.
United have since dismantled the Tokyo hub, but still they still hold the fifth-freedom traffic rights through Tokyo inherited from PAA (they were actually supposed to launch RJAA-RPVM this summer but it was postponed).
Had Pan Am kept the Pacific division (and otherwise didn’t go kaput), I feel like it wouldn’t be too out of the picture to see their planes at Shanghai, at least before the 787. That said, a 737 seems a bit small for Tokyo, considering United and Delta (who inherited Northwest’s fifth-freedom rights through Tokyo) pushed loaded 747s through Tokyo. I did once fly the busy RKSI-RPLL route with Korean on a 737 though (it was essentially a holiday extra).

11:29 tip: on the heading control knob, there is a “bank angle” selector. You can use that to restrict how much the auto-pilot will bank the aircraft to maintain a selected heading. I like to set it to “5” in cruise to prevent exactly that from happening.
