Vintage Red and Green Wire Christmas Lights Sets Are they safe or not?

In this Video I first take a quick look at a 1930s string of c9s that are unusable due to bad wiring and I also do a comparison between a vintage 1950s-60s like new C9 Outdoor string and very well weathered C9 String of the same vintage and type , Basically I am Showing you all what to keep an eye for as some of these old strings with the red and green wires with black bakelite sockets when they get old enough that the tar like insulation material in the bottom of the socket starts degrading or suffer from Being tugged on to hard can actually short circuit and become a major safety hazzard , don't get me wrong I do actually like and use these sets however it is of utmost importance to closely inspect every inch of them for bare conductors and soldier Joints , In particular the sets with 4 wires going into each socket such as early NOMA sets both c7 and c9 , I also directly compare and demonstrate How Badly sets degrade when used outdoor compared to sets that have been used lightly inside Enjoy!
