Wow!! Thank you for finally one that works!! Without the laminate on top like that it always sticks, whether it’s white or clear vinyl so that you I finally was able to make my own thank you stickers with my logo! ♥️♥️♥️
@@inthe5067 So I tried making my stickers today for a water bottle . I was sooo nervous. I did 375 for 60 seconds with a heavy 65lb card stock paper covering front and back. They came out great and no bubbles. Thank you so much again for sharing!❤️
Hello - I'm having an issue where the lamination sheet easily peels off the vinyl. I've experimented with high and low temps and times. The lamination sheet peels easily off the oracle 651 matte. I'm wondering if it's the type of lamination sheet that I'm using, any suggestions?
Can you explain the difference between clear oracle 651 & laminate adhesive. Also. Do it have to be the thermal lamination?. I seen the self adhesive laminate 3mil that say it is heat resistant...can you use that as well?
Just curious what the benefit is of using the laminate as opposed to just sublimating the design onto the vinyl? I've done the sublimation directly on the vinyl and it works well for indoor use as stickers. Does the addition of the laminate make it more durable for use on a car where it will be subject to the elements?
It works great for indoor use but stickers are typically used where they get a lot of touch it elements wear and eventually that ink will rub away from the vinyl. The laminate.gives it that polyester substrate that sublimation ink dyes right into and won't fade, rub or wash away.
It will show through to the back of the 651 if you don’t use the laminate. Also, not using the laminate will make the sub paper stick to the 651. You can run it underwater and lightly rub the paper away and leave the printed image behind, but it does sorta crinkle the sticker, but after you dry it, and peel it away from the backing and press it down on your surface it will smooth out.
What exactly is the point of the lamenting sheet, since you can sublimate straight onto Oracle 651? I would think if it was to protect the ink from fading or some other form of protection the lamenting sheet would need to be ontop of the image not under it.
That was what I was thinking also! I have seen videos where they sublimate directly into the Oracle and I would think putting the laminate over would protect the image more. My opinion
at 14 min and 14 seconds in, i seen the laminate pull up easy when you were trying to peel it off the back to show... is that normal? that's my issue and i cold peeled
Mine was too hot when I peeled because I wanted to get the video done. I've had some laminate that won't stick and peels away which is super frustrating. I found the Staples brand always sticks so I just stick with that now.
Oh Tony I wish I knew! The pack it came in got wet ... oopsie knocked over a tumbler of water!! ... and had to trash it. I'd guess to say it was probably a standard thickness.
The peeling happens to me when I use 651 but it doesn’t happen when I use Cricut permanent white!! Which is unfortunate because I bought a ton of 651. Oh well.
Hi Denise! What paper product were you using? Of all the stickers/labels I've created this way I've not had my paper stick to the laminating sheet (Koala and A-Sub used). Did your laminating sheet stick to the Oracal? I'm wondering if it was put in upside down.
Thank you so much I have never wait video that explains exactly how this process works.

Really happy this was able to help you out!!
I was wondering if it could all be done in one press, thank you soooo much for doing this video.
Thank you for sharing! Very informative video
Thank you so much for sharing.Very detailed!!
Great video! Thanks for sharing your process.
Thank you for Sharing!! This is the best explanation that I’ve found!!
I'm so glad this helped you Shenay!

Glad it was helpful!
Such a great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent demonstration, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
What UV resistant ink do you use? I didn’t know there was such a thing
Thank you for the vid. Can you do one with your CRICUT easy press please? That’s all I have. Thanks

I'm having the same problem! So frustrating!😢
I have sub ink but can you use regular ink and laminate on a car decal? I would think you could.
Can you explain the difference between clear oracle 651 & laminate adhesive. Also. Do it have to be the thermal lamination?. I seen the self adhesive laminate 3mil that say it is heat resistant...can you use that as well?
My laminate will peel off after completely cooled. What am I doing wrong?

wonder if we can use mate laminate, I'm not big on glossy things. and it the mate would look good too
Do you use actual printer paper or parchment paper...i feel the printer paper would burn??

My laminated peels right off my vinyl, what am i doing wrong? I've tried so many temps and times and the laminated peels off the vinyl.
I like this vid. Can I do this as a full page and use a laminator?
So question....I followed this tutorial step by step. Made 30 stickers and the laminate is rising off of the vinyl. Any idea what might have happened?
When I sub on 651 with laminating sheets sometimes a ripple appears in the paper, the paper is not smooth anymore, any help? Thanks

Others are sublimating directly on Oracal 651 without laminating sheet. When I tried the laminate on 651 it ended up delaminating
THANK YOU for this video!!!! Awesome. May I ask what press is that you use?
I have a BetterSub heat press :)
What about using the Cricut heat press?? Can it be used
Whenever you do cut it with your Cricut what settings do you cut on??
I cut with the Premium Vinyl setting. I use this setting for 99% if my vinyl cuts and it's never let me down.
What is that clear film between the paper and the O651?
Maybe a link? Many Thanks
laminating paper
Did you say what laminate you’re using?
i tried your method but the sublimation is peeling off the oracal vinyl. i messed up somewhere :(
it did sublimate nice though... colours are vibrant.
Did you do a hot or cold peel? The adhesive is going to heat up so before you can peel the transfer it needs to be cold. Let me know how you made out!
I tried it cold peel and the entire laminate comes off
I'm wondering if you had it upside down?
@@enone5744 Did you use thermal laminate? Any other type will not stick.
hi excellent video what thickness laminate are you using prior to halving? regards tony
Oh Tony I wish I knew! The pack it came in got wet ... oopsie knocked over a tumbler of water!! ... and had to trash it. I'd guess to say it was probably a standard thickness.
Do you use 3ml or 5ml laminating sheets?
Hi April! I've used both and they work the same.
why do you think my image is not sticking to the laminate when i pull apart
It could be the laminate sheets. I have used several types and found the Staples brand sticks whereas the Amazon brand will peel away.
Are you mirroring your sublimation?
Hi! Yes, you should always mirror your sublimation printouts regardless of the application :)
Mine just lifts up off the vinyl 😩 then I have a non sticky laminate piece with sublimation on it 🙃
The peeling happens to me when I use 651 but it doesn’t happen when I use Cricut permanent white!! Which is unfortunate because I bought a ton of 651. Oh well.
This is happening to me also, I wasn't sure if it was a Vinyl or Laminate problem.
What kind of laminate needs to be used?
I found the Staples brand never lets me down whereas other brands can peel.
asub always has alot of ink left over i noticed
My sublimation paper was stuck to the laminating sheet, any idea why, I followed your steps exactly

you do not need to laminate the 651 to be able to sublimate on it..
Can you explain? Thanks!!
