My uncle, May he rest in peace, was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He told me if he heard voices telling him to do horrible things. He didn’t do them though, instead he took his life….miss you loads preacher! 🕊️ 💜💚

These nurses them selfes are crazy, and phsychyatrists, we all have mental health, because the world we live in is not normal, so we are not going to be perfectly normal, the type of mental health where someone dose not know what there doing, that is not real that is fake, africa is poorer then the uk, why are they not severely mentally ill people there, because there know incentive to be mentally ill, you gain nothing, here, you skip jail time, get extra benefits, so that is why people are faking, common,

I’m don’t ever comment on videos but Temi needs the helmet. There’s two types of conditioning classical and operant. He needs was talking about classical and that wasn’t skinner. Frued is basically entry level . And Maslow is psychology .

Working in mental health isn’t for the weak. I’ll tell you that for free. I’ve seen some things and thanks for the context of what a forensic psychologist does. I wanted to go into that field but now I’m contemplating it.

It’s crazy that you guys uploaded this after I heard my uncle has schizophrenia in Africa and he is in hospital. So this was very informative for me, thank you
I did a module of Forensic Psychology in A Level, very very interesting tbf all the modules were but wowie. Even learning about the racism within the initial ideologies of Forensic Psychology e.g. Lombroso saying that people with curly hair and "fleshy" lips are more likely to commit crime etc. And obviously that has an impact on belief and processes😊
1:17.07 to answer the question - No you are not allowed to restrain if you are alone. It has to be 2 people at least in and outside of hospital so if someone is absconding you can't grab them or hold them - you just have to call for police/extra help from colleagues... not just anyone
The medium secure unit was one of my favourite placements as an occupational therapist too. Still on my agenda work in that sector in future

The problem with overarching faith-based practice is that you may be imposing a faith on someone who doesn’t subscribe. There are faith-based therapists for people who choose that but it’s not for everyone. Also split/multipe personality presently known as Dissociative Identity Disorder is not a personality disorder but a dissociative disorder often brought on by extreme childhood trauma. Personality disorder is psychopathological diagnostic category that covers 9 different diagnoses with different criteria.
