Man this game is just amazing.the atmosphere the warfare the realism that been lost since.The campaign(all ghilled up 😍) and let's not forget custom modes pro mod especially.And the soundtracks are just MASTERPIECE.long live cod 4

Deathrun is so much fun even though it's hard. It's my favorite gamemode in CoD4 too, used to play it some before.

@@shaggadally playpromod(dot)gg. Temper your expectations. The same dev made Battalion 1944 which had a lot of potential but was run into the ground with bad dev decisions. If you didn't play Batt1944, it was a mixture of Promod and CoD2 and they're using that game as the basis for the Promod remake.
Fun times, and happy memories. Surprised that severs still have players in them, as before I left CoD4 MW for good in 2011, I logged onto the handful of favourite severs I had booked marked and of the 5 3 were ghost towns with just me all alone, and the other two had 6 players in one, and 3 in the other. So depressingly sad as they had slots for either 50 or 64 players, I just had a walk around the maps I know so well a final time reminiscing, and looking at my favourite spots I used to sniper camp at and then logged off for good. 😢
Those shots you hit in that first game were baller dude. And yeah more death run would be pretty sweet as an occasional video every now and then. The music part can be a pain with YT but it's still something I'm sure folks would wanna see more of

yeah i remember when they first made deathrun in gmod it was all anyone played. its just one of those mods cod added after seeing how popular it was and it kept a few of their dead games alive

To disable music in CoD 4 on pc go to the CoD 4 folder in your hard drive and rename the "miles" folder to "dismiles" this will disable ambient sound such as music. however you will still here gunshots, kill streaks, gernades, ect. but no music will play. So gameplay will stay the same.

I used to be hooked on cod4 death run in like 2012, I’d love to see some deathrun videos or if you decided to stream it I’d hop into a server that sounds like a good time. I also used to watch gawley/cheatlikeachamp but it was iijeriichoii’s videos that got me to play it initially.
One of the most fun modded game types on COD 4 PC is Freeze Tag. Definitely worth a search if it still exists.

@Fortunate. You should have two different audio channels in your recording. One for your desktop (gameplay audio) and the second audio be your microphone. That way when you’re editing your content you could mute the desktop audio in your editing software. But still have your microphone audio commentating what’s going on.

yo at one point you were saying you were having choppy recordings with OBS. OBS is good but if you have an nvidia graphics card get geforce experience and record with that program. Shit doesnt even affect your computers performance and records really well. Highly recommend

Fortunate if you have an Nvidia RTX graphics card, you can download RTX voice which will eliminate all background noise coming from your keyboard for example once you set it up properly. However it will use around 5% of gpu.
You should colab with Rxqe, he was on that first server and he does a lot of cod pc content

If you record your gameplay on the same HDD/SSD on which the Game is installed this can cause lags in OBS
Or try to prioritize CPU usage for OBS

This game was the birth of gaming as we know it
