Static electricity in the atmosphere can severely limit radio comms. It's very hard to send a tiny little electromagnetic signal through a massive amount of electromagnetic activity. I was wincing at that storm and could almost feel the wind blasting you about. It was a bit of a surprise to look out the window and see a sunny evening! Can't beat a nice bit of Kraftwerk!

Every tour after this is going to have the word rain before it I think lol 🤣 We managed to go through a total of 4 Sena units in only Peak District rain so they would have no doubt succumbed to what Germany had in store...

I thought I was listening to Kraftwerk at the beginning (your dad will remember) Flipping heck, it rained. I wonder if your tyres would insulate you enough to save you if you had a full-on lightning strike?
Oh we have had plenty of Kraftwerk singalongs up until this point 😁 also not sure if tyres would save you and I don't fancy hanging about in weather like that to find out! I have to say gents if you where ever nervous of riding in the rain this trip certainly will have suppressed that fear.
