Did you try using 4L? If you had used 4L and placed both traction boards behind rear tires and engaged rear locking differential you most likely would have made it out rather quickly. I recommend you learn all the features your TRD offers. At least you were home when this happened. I suggest going to an empty parking lot and going and engaging all the different features and learn how your truck handles. I say all this without judging. Your out there having fun and learning and that’s what it’s all about.
I didn’t 😬😂🤦🏼♀️ I really was like hm I don’t know what I am doing and was embarrassed to ask for help because I was determined to fix it myself 😂😂 thank you for the tips good to know !
Yeah first rule of snow driving is "Dont stop if you dont have a 1000% safe spot to do so" and second one is use the "powaaaah" like jeremy clarkson. just enough to not drive so fast into the snow that any plastic bumpers etc can break :) if all this fails then one is truly stuck.
So jealous we only got about 9 inches here in Colorado. I do the same thing as soon as the snow comes out I am out I like to go rescue stick cars with my Tacoma. Best way to use traction boards is let some air out it will help make sure you don’t melt the nubs on the traction board. Once you upgrade those tires you will be golden. All a learning experience.
@@AlexSAdventures some friends an I rescued some guy and his fiancé off the side of a mountain 2 weeks ago they thought their BMW with bald tire could make it up a snow packed mountain trail and he was sadly mistaken. Luckily we came by it was about to get dark and nobody was around so we towed him all the way down the mountain. It’s fun helping people out and use all the recovery gear you spent a bunch of money on lol.
I know that must've been a work out.ive driven through snow and ice, and getting stuck is only half the fun, I love figuring out ways to get unstuck. By the way where did you get your North Face jacket? I'd like to get one for a family member.
It was definitely fun! I low-key enjoyed the workout and time in the snow! I got this jacket about 4 years ago, off of north faces website, not sure if they make it anymore :/
High siding the truck turns out to be a ton of shoveling.. I'm not jealous at all, but at least you managed to get it out! I would grab some hot chocolate after that, and wouldn't have left either.
I use to live in Washington state that’s one thing that pissed me off every time I would shovel the snow they would put it back in my driveway lol I ended up salting it after I would shovel it but still frustrating
those trucks are so cute love the tailpipe on them they get really warm could always put a hose on the tailpipe and aim in down on tires to melt the snow too i usally warm my hands and feet off the tailpipe feels amazing

your a trooper!
More speed and Traction control off!
Momentum is the trick, so many people stop right at the end of the driveway and then are stuck. Make sure the road is clear and then hit it hard.
Good to know !
@@AlexSAdventures another traction aid can be 3ft long pieces of tope tied thru rim and over tire and tied to the side. About 3-5 per tire
Don’t beat yourself up over the video it’s not a big deal you learned what not to do next time and that’s all that matters you’re doing a great job ❤️
Thank you !!

Has that thing no difflocks? Would be very crappy for an offroad vehicle..
