something about watching julian play, makes the guitar seem to make so much sense. he is so effortless
some people just seem to have been born for a certain instrument. it is a kind of expression that can't be achieved with practice alone

what kinda strings? they both looked like nickel/silver wound.
The guitars are strung with D'Addario nickel/bronze strings:
NB1253 (.012"- .053") for the OM
NB1356 (.013"- .056") for the D

Yes, the guitar arrives from Collings with D'Addario NB strings (their first model to do so) but I notice in the Reverb Interview 'Julian Lage & Chris Eldridge Talk Vintage Martin & Collings Guitars', the OM1JL has on PB strings, by the look of it. Perhaps Julian has been experimenting with alternatives?

Hi Mark, We've been experimenting with using the semi-gloss finish currently offered on the OM1 JL for some other models, hence the "Custom" designation for the D1 A T. Chris is playing one of these prototypes in the video. Thanks!
