I feel the pain when you glue those paper leaves. I helped my sister put together a high end model kit and it had paper leaves that you had to glue to wire. It took me a week to get all the leaves to stick and not be in danger of falling off with a stupid amount of glue being used in the process.
I love this build, i think its composure is fantastic. If i had to critique anything all id change is the hat to a more traditional Japanese sharp triangle hat and then maybe rough it up a'bit for the old look. The bamboo IS the best ive ever seen, it could be 'cleaner' if one was a perfectionist but IMO it wouldnt look right, i think its current look gives it character. Apologies being late to the party, i absolutely love the content!
Thanks for the many smiles this build gave me. Using a Dremel to turn a stallion into a gelding was great, and the ape with a saw made me do a spit take. For the leaves, if the need arises for a future build, may I suggest making a punch out of stainless steel tubing. A grinding wheel can sharpen the end and a squeeze with pliers will give you the shape. Three sizes should be all you need, then stack the painted paper sheets and one blow will give you many leaves of different colors. Also, for ridges on plastic tubing, I use a pinpoint butane lighter. Twirl the tube in front of the flame until it softens and lightly push the ends together. Hope I helped a little. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your fabulous work.
Absolutely love the shape language if this droid! The creativity you have with using odd bits and bobs is super impressive, I think I would fail abysmally trying to build anything like this. And a trick I’ve seen from North of the Border for semi curing polymer clay is to use a heat gun! It may still melt the plastic of the pens and stuff but I think it would fare a bit better than the oven.
Awesome star wars visions vibe! Pleasantly surprised at how soon this video came. Do you work on one project at a time or do you have various builds in progress at once?
How do you manage to keep your hands so clean!? Minimum paint smears and no super glue encrusted fingers.. it’s impressive.. I am very envious of this superpower you have.
Nothing special, but typically I have a roll of tissues/paper towels handy for any smears or spills, and I try to use only what I need for paint and glue, so maybe that helps?
@@gameyybuilds Makes sense.. keeping it clean and organised.. although I still think it is impressive, how ur fingers aren't covered in super glue by the end.
Just a note for myself that I subscribed to your channel at 650 subs to proof that I was cool before this channel will be blown up with fame by the end of this year :D awesome stuff man! Really inspiring to follow and very entertaining!
Unfortunately, I have now officially watched every single video on your channel. I mean, that's good, because it was a lot of fun... but now I have to wait for more :D I'm looking forward!
Marvelous, simply Marvelous, as are all your works and videos. In time I will watch all your vids. Never stop..your imagination is beyond Phil's head...😮
Awesome build as always. The trees came out looking really damn good, well all of it did actually. You definitely have a cool video vibe, but I'm sure you wanna scream and pull your hair out sometimes, I know I'd want too. Lol. Love the vision you have for your builds. Great video. 👍
Not sure how thick you mean, but Costco’s Reynolds brand is pretty heavy duty, and it comes in huge rolls. Cheaper than the grocery store. I use the dollar store version which is thin, as I find it easier to work with.
I would be super proud to place this finished piece on my shelf. There is a fair amount of details that are surprising for such a supousedly "simple" build.
I'm a little disappointed you didn't get the thumb to stay in the build but given what you have done with it since this video, it looks like you put it to good use. I've been addicted to this channel for about a week now. I'll be joining your Patreon tomorrow. Looking forward to your future builds and more stories from Aegis.
@@gameyybuilds really looks awesome. I've been getting some stuff ready to launch my own channel. I'm printing and painting and doing whatever I think I'd fun lol.
@@gameyybuilds I totally believe it lose a hand or a head or an exhaust piece. then finally forget about it move a couch or a chair and there it is. lol lol.
Looks fantastic, I saw your video on the lofi girl channel. I was wondering what your background is? I saw a drawing of yours in the video and the quality of the work with your hands, it's all terrific. I'm just wondering where you learned this.
Thanks Dylan. I'm a self-taught artist and got into making these models in August of last year. I've done some plastic snap together models years ago but this stuff is new to me, which is the reason I make so many mistakes! Thanks for your kind comment but I still consider myself an amateur!

That is super kind of you to say, Morgan!

You'd be good at making stop motion movies to tell your stories along with comic books 📚 .
True love: helping someone out with a maddening task to help make it less maddening. 😍
As I see, you don't shy away from fiddly and demanding projects. Hats off!

Also I adore the sketch of the droid and would totally enjoy seeing more drawings in the future if you’d like to share!
Definitely learning as I go. I'm not sure that it's gotten easier with each finished build, but I do think it's getting faster, so that's something!
That mishmash of bamboo pens looked really wild when it came out of the oven
Very talented and underrated my dude 🔥
Thanks 🙏
Awesome star wars visions vibe!
Pleasantly surprised at how soon this video came.
Do you work on one project at a time or do you have various builds in progress at once?
Hey! Only one project at a time, they take up quite a bit of space when being built. Haven’t seen SW Visions yet, I’ll check it out!
당신에 손은 금손이군요. 디테일하게 잘 만드시네요. 영상 너무 흥미로웠어요.👍
감사합니다 ☺️
Making the bamboo seemed very therapeutic…grasshopper.
Loved the build and the humour!
You've got yourself a new subscriber.
(And the ground also reminded me of brownies)
I know right? I actually had a cookie monster joke in there but it got cut for time!

Steal away!
Man, I LOVE your videos! So creative, and beautiful, and funny as all get out!
Really enjoyed seeing you learn various lessons as you went through this build. The end result was well worth it.
Really like the idea of using the bottom of a foil pan. Great idea!
Glad it was helpful!

Nice! That bamboo looks amazing
Thanks Carrie!
I'm impressed with the build, and with all your voices. Great job.
Really love this channel.
I think I have seen a few of your videos before. It was North of the Border's shoutout that made me curious about your collected works.
Absolutely stunning x

“Scream and pull my hair out” is pretty much my default mood these days. But I love it!
@@gameyybuilds as long as there's some hair left and you're having a good time, it's all good. Lol
Couldn't you have used alcohol markers for the green and braun paper? Like you did in every other video 😆. You do great!! I enjoy every video!
Yes, but alcohol markers wouldn't have given me the texture of the brushstrokes, which I thought would look more like bamboo leaves!
Another awesome build! Really makes me want brownies. :)
Thank you! Yes, the terrain totally looks like brownies when being painted!
Very cool robot! It looks great!
Thanks!
I've not had any luck finding thick aluminum foil, any suggestions?
Love the videos and projects!

Just found your channel today, easy sub great video dude Ile be watching some more later.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for subbing!
For all the silly mistakes and happy accidents that happend in this video, I think the finishing product is actually something I would want in my room

You could have A bought a leaf punch B folded the paper over to make more leaves faster 😍
Yeah, definitely should’ve done a leaf punch, though actually this did go pretty quick once I got into a rhythm!

For a moment I thought you were gonna neuter and castrate the horse
As a male, performing that sanding operation made me quite uncomfortable. 😩
It’s too bad you didn’t include the guy from the movie UHF saying: “yo sooo stoooo pid!!!” Classic
Missed opportunities!
I guess you’d never want to make another leave for as long as you live.
I thought all horses come with made in China on their stomach 😜
Where's the sword?..... Bruh
I came to watch a guy build a robot and got a racist accent
……..yikes…that was an awkward intro….
