They turned Johnny into a fool
I know. In the beginning he was like a real classic gangster of the Eastend who made Andy Hunter look like a bug that has been squashed. But in the later episodes they brought that brat Ruby into the programme making Jonny softer and less menacing, turning him into an annoying possessive house dad instead of evil gangster. Girls soften men. Cmon Stacey pushing Jonny on a salad, what a joke. Real Jonny would have smashed her up for that and would never backed down to a average hard man like Dennis. They turned Jonny into a bum.
This scene could have been so much better if Charlie slater headbutted Johnny then pulled his trousers down and farted in his mouth. Zero imagination eastenders writers
Remember this scene watched it not that long ago and the disrespect Johnny got here was crazy.
It was common through his time in the show.

@@rick182z how. All he did was object to someone he caught dealing in his club dating his daughter, it was his business but everyone else stuck their nose in.
Why was he even there at the slaters or did he just turn up to start on juley?
@@nickyjones2709 far as i can remember he just turned up, knowing juley was there with ruby. he got quite obsessed about juley dating his daughter.
Stacey is always beefing with the old men villains. Johnny, Archie & probably Nish too if he's the one dead at Xmas as she's involved in that. 😂
Don't forget she's sqaured up to Grant and bashed Phil's head in once too 😂
@@billyboy4761 😂 Yeah you're right. 😂 She is legitimately more gangster than the Mitchells could dream of being. She's hard up on money, she should be doing hits, she'd be great at it. Nikita would have nothing on Stacey Slater. 😂

This was similar to earlier in 2005 when Andy got barred from the vic by Den and was backed up by Johnny and Jake 😂
If Johnny was wearing his pink jumper at the time no one would have dared say anything
Phil and Grant would’ve appeared out of nowhere and chased him around the house.

Jonny again came of as the victim. He gets assaulted for objecting to his daughter dating someone he caught dealing in his club and everyone gangs up on him.
And then when he left walford to live a peaceful life in the countryside his home was invaded by Phil and grant a couple of months later 😂 and even when he was in prison Sean showed up just to taunt him about how he was shagging his daughter, 90% of Johnny’s feuds in the show were just everyone else provoking him

Ridiculous writing from eastenders, ruined a great character.
They did the same with den watts. His return in 2003 was brilliant BUT they ruined his character In 2004/2005.
Johnny was lucky Charlie didn’t snap him in two. I think big Charlie held back because his family was there.
You could tell he almost snapped when Johnny called him fat (when actually it was 100% muscle) but managed to restrain himself
@@stemple11100 Yeah people tend to forget most of Charlie’s size was pure muscle. That’s why he was so freakishly strong.
@@stemple11100 Jonny only made that dig cause he was jealous. Charlie could of easily have still past for 30.
Charlie probably would of won a battle against Johnny.
But he'd lose the war, as Johnny would of had him killed.
@@rorymckernan8502 Don’t underestimate Charlie, he had plenty of contacts and high level connections himself plus he was far more intelligent than Johnny. Johnny obviously didn’t know who he was dealing with here.

For me, this is the scene that completely where Johnny plans to have Dennis killed unless he leaves Walford for good. Sharon's attempt to stand up to him only further motivates his resolve into doing so, but at that point he extends his threat to Sharon by threatening Dennis' life.
This must be a joke??? Jonny got assaulted for no reason before everyone ganged on him and laughed in his face. It took several months of unprovoked abuse and been beat half to death before he flipped and even then he ended up handing himself in. The whole thing looked like a mild mannered man who got put into a corner.
I Remember this scene very well. Was not a good look for Johnny at all a definite huge L for him here. Some of us remember the way the show written the character in his final six months on the show. He became a laughing stock less off a threat. This scene alone proves how much of a joke he became sadly EastEnders will never top the likes of Jason Cox and Dalton, Johnny started off well but ended badly. Don't get me started on get Johnny week and his "show down" with Sean 🤣.

Cox & Dalton worked because they were only around short-term, they'd have done the same to them others is the sad truth. Aiden was the closest they got to a level of consistent ruthlessness but the same old King Phil narrative & plot-armour made him look weak just as it did Johnny.

@@NoirFan84 although considering EEs love of bringing people back from the dead it's hard to say how ruthless Aiden was.

It’s hard to believe this is the same guy who murdered Andy Hunter in cold blood. I doubt even Andy would’ve allowed himself to get pushed around like this yet Andy was scared of Johnny, it doesn’t make sense.

Yh I agree, I hate how they had Andy scared of Him, they should have had Andy and Johnny fighting on that bridge with Andy winning it’s stupid How Johnny just threw Him off.
@@qasimhussain1678 Andy being scared of Johnny made sense since Johnny was far more powerful as a gangster and had a bigger reputation but it didn’t make sense for Johnny to be bullied by everyone in this scene.

Yh I get that but the thing is they had Andy scared all the way through, they could have Atleast had Andy answer him back a few time or even stand upto him towards the end of their feud (like some feuds do) but it makes sense, but your 100% right I hate how they had him humiliated by other characters, they should have had him kill a few more people though.

This was pathetic from Johnny not going to lie to think by numbers his Eastenders' most ruthless gangster
And the only reason his kill count is as high as it is because of his backstory. Same as Dalton his only kill was in his backstory

You’re right about everyone apart from Andy, he was small-time.
To be fair aiden was a legit threat until his final episode where he randomly decided to let Phil punch him and drive him out of walford just because they were “brothers in arms” in prison for a few months over a decade beforehand 😂

Dennis had a good heart Johnny Allen just didn't care
