Jonny again came of as the victim. He gets assaulted for objecting to his daughter dating someone he caught dealing in his club and everyone gangs up on him.
And then when he left walford to live a peaceful life in the countryside his home was invaded by Phil and grant a couple of months later 😂 and even when he was in prison Sean showed up just to taunt him about how he was shagging his daughter, 90% of Johnny’s feuds in the show were just everyone else provoking him
@@rorymckernan8502 Don’t underestimate Charlie, he had plenty of contacts and high level connections himself plus he was far more intelligent than Johnny. Johnny obviously didn’t know who he was dealing with here. Back in his day, they called him the Heartslayer.
For me, this is the scene that completely where Johnny plans to have Dennis killed unless he leaves Walford for good. Sharon's attempt to stand up to him only further motivates his resolve into doing so, but at that point he extends his threat to Sharon by threatening Dennis' life.
This must be a joke??? Jonny got assaulted for no reason before everyone ganged on him and laughed in his face. It took several months of unprovoked abuse and been beat half to death before he flipped and even then he ended up handing himself in. The whole thing looked like a mild mannered man who got put into a corner.
I Remember this scene very well. Was not a good look for Johnny at all a definite huge L for him here. Some of us remember the way the show written the character in his final six months on the show. He became a laughing stock less off a threat. This scene alone proves how much of a joke he became sadly EastEnders will never top the likes of Jason Cox and Dalton, Johnny started off well but ended badly. Don't get me started on get Johnny week and his "show down" with Sean 🤣.
Cox & Dalton worked because they were only around short-term, they'd have done the same to them others is the sad truth. Aiden was the closest they got to a level of consistent ruthlessness but the same old King Phil narrative & plot-armour made him look weak just as it did Johnny.

It’s hard to believe this is the same guy who murdered Andy Hunter in cold blood. I doubt even Andy would’ve allowed himself to get pushed around like this yet Andy was scared of Johnny, it doesn’t make sense.

Johnny was lucky Charlie didn’t snap him in two. I think big Charlie held back because his family was there.
You could tell he almost snapped when Johnny called him fat (when actually it was 100% muscle) but managed to restrain himself

Ridiculous writing from eastenders, ruined a great character.
They did the same with den watts. His return in 2003 was brilliant BUT they ruined his character In 2004/2005.
