- I Platinum'd Alien Isolation! In this video, I went for the platinum trophy and 100% of all achievements for Alien Isolation, with the upcoming Alien film, Alien Romulus. The Platinum trophy is hard because of the trophies one shot for beating the game without dying and survivor for beating it on hard. Some say this is the best alien game and I'm gonna find out by getting the platinum.
I really loved getting 100% of all achievements in this game and it was a great experience even if it is a scary survival horror game.

The androids running on the spot is a reference to the first movie, when Ash tries to warm up his body temperature or tries to "loosen" his joints after having not moved for a while.

Played this when it was first released, got to the San Cristobal medical facility and noped the fuck out 😂. Played it again this year with the missus watching and finally completed it. Absolutely amazing game; fingers crossed we one day see a sequel

I spent at least 90% or less crouched and almost never sprinting or standing.
Sprinting is usually a death sentence on Hard unless you’re close enough to a lift 😂

Your love of the franchise and this game comes across wonderfully, without being too 'biased'. Obviously this is one of the best games ever, Alien attachment notwithstanding, but I especially loved the parts where you pointed out little Easter eggs that I wouldn't know about as a casual Alien fan.

17:12 you weren’t dead, that’s a knock animation. When having the flamethrower and just flaming the alien a bit. It’s impossible to die, you just lose health when the alien attacks.

What makes alien isolation scary in my opinion is the ai behind the alien. It literally adapts to the way you play. Example: if you hide too much the alien will learn to check hiding spots more often. Which in itself is terrifying. Another example being that if you use the flame thrower on the alien too much, it’ll start to ignore it, charging past the flames and to the player. It literally learns that fire doesn’t hurt it. I watched several videos on the way the alien works and learning that it literally always knows where you are, in my opinion, makes for a intense and scary game. Also the reason I refuse to play this one. Loool.

The best pure horror game ever, definitely the best game tied to a movie ip. Sure resident evil 4 is more fun, but there's a case to be made of this being the best horror game ever.

Platinumed this on PS4 years ago then recently realised it had a PS3 version too so bought it and got the platinum for that as well. No surprise that the PS4 version is far superior.

i thought the platinum for some of the souls games were hard. This is easily one of the hardest platinum i've ever tried to get.

I'm trying this as well, only got to Chapter 8 so far. How are you not dead after 3 shots on Hard? Also 7:42 happened to me as well one time. Some tricks to use is shooting at the stairway in mission 8 right after calling the transit so the humans are in a panicked state and don't go patrolling. You can do this as well in mission 11 if you shoot below where the heavy armored human is, which is likely what happened in the video at 11:55.
@@TheBlackKS1 Well spotted, so I originally started this 3 years ago way before youtube. so that part was actually edited from novice difficulty, hence the 3 shots, after around that chapter the rest was all footage from hard difficulty. Thats an interesting tactic though, so many ways to get through encounters
I got the plat on this last month. Wasn’t as hard as thought it would be as I took advantage of cloud saving on the zero deaths run.
I was thinking about playing this game for the plat but couldn’t find anything definitive on if you could cloud save scum it or not. I have so many other games that I was only going to play this if I could do it in one playthrough

How are you playing in 60 fps on Ps5? I just bought the game and I tried so many methods but I can't get it to 60
I record in 60fps but I don't think the game was running in 60fps, unless there was a patch for it

But dude how did you Get to know how many ammos did you have? In nightmare mode I do not have map,the movement signal thing works bad and the interface ( not the one where you actually craft them)of weapons and other stuff like molotovs is invisible
So the trophy is for beating the game on Hard, not Nightmare mode, nightmare was added later on in an update, thats why 😁

Just state "tried to platinum". It isn't shameful to not. There is a reason why there are so few people that can do it.
The Platinum Trophy on my account suggests otherwise. You realise most people who earn this trophy do it this way right? Also that was me playing on Hard difficulty, on Novice you can easily beat the game with very very few deaths, yes I could restart the whole game every time a facehugger got me but can I really be bothered to play the same 4 hours to get to that point? No. Get a grip. And get off your high horse. I got the platinum, if you're salty about it don't watch and move on with your life.
There are a few who have got the one shot achievement WITHOUT cheesing it/reloading saves before the death screen. If you die, you restart the whole game from the beginning. Not to mention, NIGHTMARE difficulty. Most of them are speed runners but there are a few who aren't speed runners who've done it. See Snamwhiches' video on it to get a glimpse of hard that really is. He has got many insane achievements, but says Alien Isolation nightmare permadeath is by far the hardest.

You can’t blame the players for how the game is designed. If anything, even trying to not die between saves is a good achievement.
I've got the plat but getting it on nightmare is next level and beyond me.

I consider getting the plat on this game a few years ago my greatest achievement in gaming - especially completing the game without a single death. It's the most nerve racking game ever made IMO. The sound effects are just amazing and the alien AI is so ahead of its time. Probably the most underrated game to date. Shame there wasn't a sequel.
A sequel would be brilliant, or at least creative assembly to do something else similar. Congrats on the platinum

My first playthrough I managed to wipe out a good amount of difficult trophies and I even tried to cheese the one shot trophy, which worked for a bit until the facehuggers. Their kill animations are so fast the game will immediately count it as a death unlike the alien who has a couple seconds long death animation. I might platnium the game in the future but even on the easiest difficulty the alien was terrifying
Yeah the facehuggers are really make or break for this platinum. If you play novice slow and steady I can’t see why you wouldn’t get the platinum, still crazy intense

At 17:10 when the alien got too close to safely repell with the flamethrower, you assumed it was a death and loaded but it just smacked you for a third of your health while running away. Surviving close calls like that is such a cool movie moment whenever it happens.

I disagree, trophies are a way to track your progression in a game. Therefore you should naturally earn some by playing the game
