2013 Breeders' Cup Distaff - Beholder

Beholder ($7.60), the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner, returns to win the Breeders' Cup Distaff at Santa Anita on November 1, 2013, over a select field that includes two-time Distaff winner Royal Delta and 2013 Kentucky Oaks winner Princess of Sylmar. Close Hatches finishes second, Authenticity third.

I truly believe Beholder will win again this year, she looks great and finished second to CC in the Pac Classic. This will be a MAJOR test for Songbird, the Distaff is where she will meet older females. Her age group this year has been weak, they have been no match for Songbird, this will be the true test, but can she beat the likes of Beholder, Cavorting and Stellar Wind, and I'm a Chatterbox? These are incredibly talented older horses. Beholder has 3 eclipse awards and was Champion 2 & 3 year old filly and was named Champion Older Dirt female in 2015. If Songbird can beat these mares and win the Distaff, and if Chrome loses the Classic, she's HOY, she is already a shoe in for Champion 3 year old filly
