- I found this 110V vintage drill from a Japanese recycle shop. It is discarded because it is outdated and dangerous if used improperly. Even though it is outdated, its interior mechanic is still very good. For safety reasons, I have converted it from electric to battery powered by restructure the DC motor and mount new battery to drill body. The original armature is converted to 18V armature by rewinding new formula. The field is replaced by permanent magnet. Because of this video is a bit longer, you can watch it by section below:

Super update for a dead AC drill
the point of a keyless chuck is really to let it spin otherwise in a normal chuck you could risk breaking the drill bit entirely. i learned this the hard way. you didn't even used loctite in the threads since you couldn't drill a reverse thread anyways...

good job. A modification and challenge in the future to incorporate a 4-pole brush motor (4 brushes and 4 magnets) has almost the same performance as a brushless motor but without the complex electronics. greetings.

i wish you had it running before drilling wood then AFTER drilling wood on battery. We all know battery power will be weaker etc but id like comparisons and not just boring converting these to battery power. Its same video over and over
