I've owned every category of bike there is. This is my second adventure bike. I bought it because it's versatile (the swiss army knife of bikes). It's comfortable.
hehe, it seems you can't spend more than a week without tinkering some more. Btw, I got exactly the same bike and took some good ideas from you, so many thanks and congrats
Didn't the Anakees come stock on the GS? I'm confused, it doesn't seem like you intend to go off-pavement since you took off the crash bars, on why you'd spend money on a more aggressive tire tread.
My 1250 GSA came with Anakees on them. They suck. They are loud and although they are pretty good on road, they are deadly on dirt and gravel. Like riding on ice. And they track any line in the road. Some roads have damage from a tractor dragging something that digs a mini ditch in the road. The tires get in that and track it and it’s annoying. I’ll put continental or metzeler next time. But glad they are working for you. 👍🏻 I have continentals on my Harley and average well over 6000 miles on a set. Had Metzeler on the Z1000 for over 2000 miles and still had a lot of tread left when I sold it. Guy who bought it thought they were new. But I had Metzeler on all the Kawasakis I’ve owned.
@@KornholeeooNever seen that on any Gs. I have used the Anakees on my last GS in all weather and pushed hard never noticed any difference in noise and couldn’t complain about the wet road grip. Noisy tyres on a Gs is like the no backlit button argument. Miles better than the Karoos but not as good as road 6 or t32s.
Karoos are good until you hit a hot corner in the damp then they will be thrown off. I have had them on both gs’s from new and would never hang my hat on them. If it’s road biased tyres the Bridgestone t32s can be ridden fast or for miles whatever is your thing.
Hey looks great without the crash bars. Can I ask why you chose givi rack over the adventure rack from Sw motech? Is it purely looks. I am looking to actually fabricate my own rack I think 🤔
Went with the Givi rack as it's the only rack that mounts directly to the OEM Vario top rack. The Motech Adventure rack doesn't do that and requires you to purchase Motech's rack for it to fit on.
Looks good without the crash bars actually. Ready to see your next mod🤙
It does look leaner without the bars, but they're good cheap insurance.
Genuine question. Why did you buy an adventure bike

Fact. I do this with all my bikes and cars. Fortunate enough to be able to do it. Cheers!

Nope. Mine originally came with the Karoo 4s so they went back on. The video explains why...
in europe the bike comes with metzeler tourance next 2 and they're purely road tires
Many here in the US also come with the Next 2s.
Get the Anakee Road! they are amazing tires. I put those on my BMW GS Adventure here in Germany.
I've looked at them, but I think I'm set on the Road 6s. I'll consider many tires when the time comes.

They've been fine for me. Once I run through them, a road based tire will be mounted.
I like your rack bag, what model SW-Motech is it?
Thanks. It's the Sport.

How much did it cost for two tire changes?
It's nice to have friends... ;)
They should add a reverse gear also
That would be great.
