Im glad you made this video with comments. Im taking a Tamiya D model Panther and a G model Tamiya and making an A out of them with some Dragon parts and aftermarket parts including a fully detailed inside turret from CMK and some zimmerit from ATAK and I am not following the directions order of build on anything. I want to put a partial through the hatch driver and radio/hull gunner compartment in order to closely build a big diorama from a photo taken by a German PK photographer that shows a village in Normandy where he managed to get an Ausf D, A and G in one photo where the commanders are yelling at each other and at SS Panzergrenadiers who are looking around several building corners for signs of Canadian or British troops or tanks so the Panthers won't get knocked out coming around the two corners they want to go past. I need to paint parts so I can insert them into a painted hull interior, with driver of one listening intently to the other tank commanders with his head raised above the hull top and the radio operator down in the hull talking on the radio. Of course the turret interior is easy, and I want to put a small nano chip light from Evans Designs into the hull so the action of the radio operator using his equipment can be easily seen. Ive been doing that on several model tanks already and it really adds to the build. On a Sherman I had to put five lights in the places they were put on the actual tank, and the great thing about the Sherman is that there are tons of hydraulic and electrical lines all over the place so that the wires for the electric lights fill a role as well! Great work, I wish I had steady hands like you again!
Thank You kindly for Your comment and sharing Your experiences on modeling struggles! 👍 You have quiet a strategy for a build - congratulations! I just love when a model tells us a small story behind, just like Your does. And You don't have to go for diorama to achieve this effect! Sure, diorama will serve You better but still it is not necessary... You have inspired me with idea of using microLED's. Maybe in some future build with interior... I have a Sturmmorser Tiger with clear hull parts waiting in building queue 😀 Thank You again and please comment on future builds. I am very happy to talk to fellow modeler! 👍
I really like the way you made this panther look and the video because I have a Panther full interior waiting to be painted and you really gave me some good ideas thankyou 😊. Your work is incredible 😲.
Thank You kindly! 🙇♂️ Yeah, that is what have thought in the beginning but if You divide the project in smaller sub projects it is rather easy to handle! 💪👍
Wow! Jerry, Thanks a lot for a believe in me but I am just a simple modeller trying not to mess up my workshop! 🤣 But! I bought to my collection 1:16 Sherman. The only problem is I would be stuck in endless detailing… When I opened this kit and looked briefly through references my mind went crazy with detailing ideas! 😳 Maybe some winter project, who knows… 🤔😉
