I went in to buy the 400hp regular ST and they explained the 2 different engines. I drove both, and took this one. The 300hp + of this engine is crazy. Still 50+ bucks to fillup every week but I love it. The 400hp is brute force and loved it also but this one just feels different on the freeway. It feels not so heavy and scoots out faster. I am very pleased with this trim line. One thing though when I say scoot it scoots, you have to be careful if the roads are wet, getting on and off the freeway it has a tendency to try and get away from you.
Thank you for your driving impression. Turning down the ST says something. Since you are an owner and have had some time driving your ST-Line, would you say that the 2.3L is spirited enough to be enjoyable? I'm worried about having regrets by not going for the extra horsepower.
@@Lexic0n357 buy the ST the immediate hp and tq difference is nice but they have 2 different ceilings. 2k in parts will make that 400hp 500hp. It’s more than just the engine though, the suspension is better on the ST. For reference I have a 320whp Sti and my 22 st is damn near as fast as it out of the box.
@@NothinButCarReviews Thanks, how is this compare to 2023 Subaru Ascent Touring, this also 50K, but it had more features than Explore. Did you have drive that before?

Brilliant job in my favorite Ford SUV friend.
I love the gloss black on this Explorer model. It looks absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you for your excellent review, I was thinking about ST v. ST-Line, and you sold me!
Another good review!
Nice color
One of my favorite SUVs great review!
❤My 22' ST line👏👏👏. They call it @ "Poor man's Range Rover" 😃😃
😂😂😂 I suppose
More like a smart man’s Range Rover. You don’t wanna pay $2000 to fix your lights and go poor with repairs.
I'm thinking of buy the new 23' Ford Explorer.
So the st comes with a 2.3 now all so bc they usually come with a 3.0
Just ST-Line has 2.3, believe ST still has 3.0
@@NothinButCarReviews oh ok
It's smart automatically 4wd drive, right? Even most time is Rear wheel drive once the road is slip, front drive will be auto engage?
Only in 4A

Nice
If it wasn’t for the powerhouse in the St I would have looked elsewhere fords build quality is crap.
