His power...his stage presence...his musicality...his aura is so freakin huge...theres no words to describe what a worldwide treasure Paul McCartney is....Thank you God for letting me be alive during the era of Paul McCartney and the Beatles.
Yet...there was only 2 hits off BOTR jet and BOTR and the album wasn't particularly well received in 73 for it's first year ! It gathered momentum and spread in 74 reaching number 1 but still it only ever had 2 hits despite it being Mccartneys most acclaimed work, post beatles.
That song is what you call a real belter, it is a classic rock masterpiece in every sense of the word and even after hearing it a hundred thousand times I still get a shiver up my spine when I hear it. I think this version is up there with the best!. t
The space within US would have to be one of the most uplifting feel good DVD's I have ever seen in my life. Never fail to sing and smile all the way through it every time. Thanks Paul
Cannot forget that great drummer there. I think his name is Abe Laboriel Jr. I went to Paul's concert in December 2017 at Auckland. Paul was 75 years old and he had the energy of a man 40 years younger. Best concert I ever attended.
I can very well understand that kid at 48 seconds, he is seriously getting into it, that was me in 1973 when this song came out. I was about his age of 11 years old getting into this song as well. It has been one of my favorites since then till now 43 years later. Thank you Paul McCartney !
Paul is always the perfect gentleman, the drummer is an interesting contrast... yet still full of heart and soul. Fantastic song one of Paul's finest, and cant be undone the raw rock n roll we all love so much
Ive seen Paul a few times now and let me tell you this man is like fine wine.......Much better with age. The band is the best , the sound system is the best, the sound in the venue is superb. If you have good speakers on your computer and you turn it up. IT SOUNDS BETTER AT THE STADIUM. You have got to see a Sir Paul concert before it is too late. This man is an icon that is not to be missed.
Can we also take a moment to recognize that Paul McCartney has had this same band for almost 20 years? No matter how legendary, you can't keep your musicians if you give them bad working conditions. In the case of Paul McCartney, him being such a legend can possibly make it harder to keep his musicians. They have his name on their resume, they're pretty much now guaranteed to get whatever gig they go for.
Top notch! It really doesn't get better than this as far as a concert that the entire family can go to and collectively rock out at. James Paul McCartney FTW!
Most musicians, if they have talent or luck, feel fortunate to have a hit in their lifetime. Paul McCartney’s legacy is out of this world. Just by himself, he has had more songs in the top ten in charts than Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and so many other artists combined.
holy shitt, i knew paul cud play a song or two on electric, but playing a jimi hendrix rifff and then soloing to the song, is just ridiculouss!!! and he nailed it, that takes talent, holy moly he is more sexier then i ever thought he cud be
I've always loved this tune from McCartney, but that extra riff of Purple Haze that they added starting at about 4:37 is just a great bonus to this already powerhouse tune. I think Hendrix would've definitely approved! I know I love it.
I saw Paul when he came to London in 2002 and althuogh I usually prefer soul, r&b, and dance music, but i have not, nor doubt that I will ever see such an amazing concert again. Never have I seen so many people thoroughly enjoy themselves as much as at this concert, Paul and the band were absolutely amazing. This is a great song and typifies the kind of electric atmosphere that was felt all night; pure magic!
i saw paul- first time EVER- last april '22. every person there smiled back at me when i smiled at them- and i was smiling a LOT -lol- no matter their age, or whatever. the whole night! amazing atmosphere- never seen anything like it...
Fantástico!......... You really ROCK. Estremecen el mundo!!!!! Y pensar que esta SuperHiperExcelenteMegaBANDA la voy a ver y a escuchar en 22 días en Bogotá......... Gracias Dios Santo!!!!!!!! Un sueño de adolescente hecho REALIDAD!!!! Thanks God Sir James Paul McCartney will be in Bogotá and I'll be in this unforgettable concert!!!!!!! A sweet dream will come true that night! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah.... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 All good "children" (people) go to Heaven!!!!!!!!!
.....also one of my favorite rock songs ever. The vocal harmonies are just happening and as for the drummer, he's livin and lovin every moment. Geeeeeeeenius !
The song... 50yrs old & still sounds fresh :) I know... 'fresh' is such a lame adjective but only those younger than me will see it that way. The band playing all deserve credit
umpsumps11: Live vicariously through others. You are fortunate to be living in a time when you can check out the live music online whenever you wish. I saw Paul and his band in the Fort Lauderdale area about 7 years ago. Best concert of my life. The band played for about a half hour, then Paul went solo for over an hour, sometimes on the guitar, sometimes on the piano. What an amazing talent. Never missed the band while he was by himself on stage. You have a better seat right here.
paul was born to create music. not comparing him with the other beatles. but see, the remaining three of them stopped or disliked touring at some point of their career even though they created excellent music. paul was non stop since the 60's. there wont be any other like the beatles or any performer like paul ever.
I think im sick because I HAVE to watch this video at least once a day if not more...and how fitting is it that Paul is left handed just like Hendrix...*sigh*....Long live Sir Paul..!!
I think "Let me roll it" was sort of a gentle reply to John by Paul over his "How do you sleep" song. The vocals and guitar on this song was very Plastic Ono Band sounding. John acknowledged it by featuring the same guitar riff on "Beef Jerky" on his Walls and Bridges album.
I get shivers everytime I hear this song: absolutely electrifying and the band is tight in their performance. Paul knows how to belt out this classic rock hit. His voice is truly a "rocker's voice": so powerful and rich and not to mention the guitar playing and Abe's drumming. Hey, what a switch here to actually hearing Paul belt it out on the lead at the end. Never realized how great he was on the lead as well as being the famous bass player he is. Remarkable!
De las que más ansiábamos escuchar en Bogotá. Un montón de detalles para declararla nuestra favorita de Wings. Uno de los riffs más hermosos del mundo. Gracias Paul, la alegría de esa noche mágica no ha desaparecido.
Yeah, look this video, the song is great and the choir and the intensity of the drumer in the choir is fabulous and catchy! Paul McCartney - You Won't See Me [live, Madrid '2004]
He escuchado hablar de ellos desde mediados de los '60. En TV pasaban sus caricaturas y en mi mente se grabaron melodías tan hermosas como "If I Fell" y "I Should have known better".
@365degrees I can never get enough of this either! He is AMAZING...saw back in 1993 and was the thrill of my lifetime! Wanting to go see him in Charlotte, NC the 28th...but have noone to go with me! How wrong is that? lol....It's killing me...lol. And, I wish the same thing!
His power...his stage presence...his musicality...his aura is so freakin huge...theres no words to describe what a worldwide treasure Paul McCartney is....Thank you God for letting me be alive during the era of Paul McCartney and the Beatles.
Typical scouser they're very charismatic
@@terrymckenna3382 let me doll it
I always thought this was one of his most underrated songs ever. Gorgeous song that stands up to time as well as many classics.
One of the best songs Wings ever did
I think this is one of his best group of musicians ever put together as a band for Paul!!! Both thumbs up!!! They all ROCK! wooo hoooo!
The power of this song.. is astronomical.
And furthermore..
@@terrymckenna3382 Every song on Band on the Run is great but it has at least 4 hits. BOTR, Jet, Let Me Roll It, and Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five
Love that word man, 'astronomical.' It fits this tune for sure, and a lot of wings other stuff.
That song is what you call a real belter, it is a classic rock masterpiece in every sense of the word and even after hearing it a hundred thousand times I still get a shiver up my spine when I hear it. I think this version is up there with the best!.

The kid at 0:48 makes me so happy. His parents are raising him RIGHT!
Great pic of Prince, Tara. :)

Unaffected by time, Paul is still as great as ever.
Amen.
The music comes through him like lightening ⚡
6 years later and you're still right. What a champ
1:59 Third generation Beatlemania
The drummer Abe really gets down with the beat, and he enjoys what he does, it shows
Abe Laboriel is a BEAST on the drums.
Abe is an excellent drummer ..
And singer!
I cant believe i was 17 yo listening to PM and now im 67 listening to PM 💗 What a Lifetime of Incredible Music Ty #foreverpaul
What a fantastic jam! Paul you are definitely one of a kind brother.
Cannot forget that great drummer there. I think his name is Abe Laboriel Jr. I went to Paul's concert in December 2017 at Auckland. Paul was 75 years old and he had the energy of a man 40 years younger. Best concert I ever attended.
I think he is better than Kenny Arnoff who plays with Fogerty...
not a chance.
Lindsay Evans the drummer is Abe Laboriel Jr.
I have corrected the error.
Just went to a concert here in Vancouver. July 5th, 2019. It was awesome, Paul ROCKS!
Kids, teenagers, adults. Paul transcends generations. What an amazing, timeless musician.
The best live version I have seen & heard yet.....
It truly is.
WOW Sir McCartney you still have it. It is awe inspiring to see so much talent. I have thoroughly enjoyed this song, and performance thank you.

I do.

Just amazing 💜 always been my favourite Beatle!

The Beatles were fortunate to have him. I'm not saying they would not have been successful without him, but he locked it in.

Wow - he's still amazing. I have GOT to see him live. Just incredible.
AJ Me I hear ya brother. I was 11 in 73 also. What a great jam. still one of my favorites after all these years.
