When you have a riff composed by McCartney, honoring and flattering the primal kind of riffs composed by post-Beatles Lennon, played by Nancy Wilson, you can’t go wrong.
Just rediscovered this song from when I was early teens, not only is it slow & sludgy, possibly a precursor to grunge, I love the absurdity of many of Wings lyrics. My heart is like a wheel? Really? Let me roll it to you? LOL, just brilliant!
As a Heart fan for nearly 40 years I'm still amazed at the Wilson sisters! Whatever they've done, original Heart in the 70's, rock ballads in the 80's, duo in the 90's or modern Heart in the 2000's they nail it every time. And they do some of the best cover songs as well, be it Led Zep or McCartney. While Ann has one of the greatest voices in rock history, I love seeing Nancy sing lead for a change. Not bad for a couple of women in their 60's. Love this!
When the girls had their spat Ann toured alone and did some killer cover tunes from the who and all the people you would think they listened to way back when.
Seen the girls in concert in Okc in 1976. We to after party drank until day lite. Still have the t-shirt they both signed for me back then. I was 18 years old. What a nite it was.
Wow. Nancy kicks both ass cheeks on this one, using her guitar on one cheek and her vocals on the other. Kudos to Ann for giving up the lead mike and laying down the harmonies here. Well played.
The woman has a couple of the greatest looking ta-ta's in rock and roll, a very ample and inviting rear end, and she has always insisted on keeping everything bundled up, covered-up, and modest.....August weather and she's wearing full leggings.....a modicum of demureness and church-lady behavior all from a rebel chick in a city of anarchy and rebellion, Seattle. She is a living, breathing double-standard and hypocrite.
Did they decide to play this on the spot without rehearsing? It sounds like a bar band playing after last call. Go watch a live version of McCartney and you will notice a difference.
Go on Nancy, kick some a. Good to see her sing and play the main riff on some tunes. Would like to see her do that more, but still in Heart, with Ann, not in her own band like she is doing now...Heart has to get back together..
Heck, I've been a Heart beater and fan for at least 40 years also like some you commentators below. However, I agree with the dude who called them out ..... not quite my tempo nor the tempo Paul and Wings used on their version.....too slow. But, I applaud the sisters for bringing it on guitar and vocals however I greatly lament these ladies have never leveraged their god-given beauty, looks and physique. They cover themselves up in ridiculous garb instead of teasing us with their ample, even abundant feminine charm. Nancy, especially, I'm still dreaming about what you must look like....a shame you gotta hold that Telecaster so low but we get it....can't be any higher.
A version is covered by somebody else, thus cover version; the original performer doesn't have a version....they are the original. If you truly want to say Wings had a version of the song then I guess you could say they did the original version, but original is an important word to leave out.
GREAT choice! As usually though, this band is slow and anemic sounding, and credit/blame for anything like that lies with the drummer. Maybe a little quicker but still slower than the original would make it a bit heavier/rockier and less poppy.
Amazing cover of McCartneys let me roll it song. Heart does it great. One of the best rock riffs created by the McCartney.
One of the most underrated guitar riffs in rock
A much covered song by many artists
Probably the most covered song from the Band on the Run album
That BASS tho
Despite still being the richest rock star ever, being a member of the most famous band ever, I think Paul McCartney is _severely_ underrated.
When you have a riff composed by McCartney, honoring and flattering the primal kind of riffs composed by post-Beatles Lennon, played by Nancy Wilson, you can’t go wrong.
One of my favourite rock songs of all time.
I was at this concert they were amazing these rock goddess never get old

Amazing job Dudes, Awesome !! !! !! !!
Thank You.
When the girls had their spat Ann toured alone and did some killer cover tunes from the who and all the people you would think they listened to way back when.
She is a Witch
LOVE THIS SONG! Cool version Heart!!
The best copy of this song I have ever heard !
Paul Rodgers did a great cover of this song 👌
Seen the girls in concert in Okc in 1976. We to after party drank until day lite. Still have the t-shirt they both signed for me back then. I was 18 years old. What a nite it was.
What a find. I love this song sooo much. This is the best. Thanks for posting.
Right On Sister !! !!
Always Loved this song ! Now everybody,s playing it...Of course HEART ROCKED IT....!!! Go Girls !
Few female singers are vocally as adventurous live, as Nancy is. A great pity this talent doesn't sing more lead, curling a melody like only she can.
She translate the passion, sensuality of the song how PM had written it.
This is pretty damned good. Nancy looks like she's really enjoying herself.
And so talented +mmmm aswell🎉
The playing is very good, I'm very impressed😍🤩🥰
Well done Nancy . Great cover and your still fit after all these years 😀
Love this version too
Break out the candles and sway in the night to this one 😊😊😊😊
I love this song!
Another great reason to like Heart
Nancy also plays on Sharon Isbins' release that has Asturias on it. They do Dreamboat Annie together with a little Brazilian twist at the end.
kicking it like Denny Lane fantastic job Nancy
Nancy is just awesome in every way. ❤️❤️❤️ I love it when she takes the lead, especially these days.
Yes she is, I've had trouble functioning as a human every time I think if her since I saw her in the Cotton Bowl in 1978. Be still my beating heart.
Amazing Work , the Band Kicks Ass !! !!
Thank You.
They lived in a suburb of Vancouver in 1974,called White Heart. ALL the kids from neighbourhood would go over after school, to hear them practice.
Nancy, you are my Goddess!!!!!! Love this song, love this cover, love you!!!!!!!!!!
they really love the beatles.
Yes, even though this was after the Beatles with his band Wings.
Wow. Nancy kicks both ass cheeks on this one, using her guitar on one cheek and her vocals on the other.
Kudos to Ann for giving up the lead mike and laying down the harmonies here. Well played.
Yes rock it Nancy!!!
Wow. I love Nancy so much right now.
Better at 1.25X speed.

Oh My God I love Nancy Wilson. sexiest girl n rock and roll. With Syracuse's own Kevin Dean (subbing) on drums! What a treat.
They just get it...
Absolutely 💯
❤️ Nancy´s Telecaster.
Wow!
❤
Love Heart and all their songs and McCartney's-this is one of Wings' best but tempo just a tad too slow '-)
TJKillip I thought the same. I like Heart but I don't feel they did this song justice.
Definitely too slow. But the lead vocals were ok.
Yes, it dragged.
Many would disagree but Nancy has just as a good voice as Ann just different styles
🎉
Love telecasters ( fav guitiar ,) even with the paf in neck it just doesn't have that Gibson Les Paul or SG punch like the original did on this song .
Was hoping someone else noticed this. Way too thin.
Great cover!
I never thought a 60 yr old lady could be sexy but Nancy certainly is, 60 or not it doesn't matter. Hot lady, still!
Oh man she makes me young.
Shes good! DAMN!
Lucky Dan!! ❤
Can't fault this !!!😸😹😻
great version
GREAT

What a stupid comment Jesus lol
Nancy is The Hottest Rock n ROLL Chick of ALL TIME.
Wow is right!
plays with a lot of "H-E-A-R-T!!!"
Go on Nancy, kick some a. Good to see her sing and play the main riff on some tunes. Would like to see her do that more, but still in Heart, with Ann, not in her own band like she is doing now...Heart has to get back together..
Right On Brother !! !!
Agree 🎉
Awesome!!! Fuck yeah!

Swooooooon!
I love Ann Wilson, How frick'n cool is that chick??
super heart
Looks like a 59 Fender precision bass!
Ann and Nancy and the Heart imposters
Nancy was still wicked hot in 2014.
I misspelled enthusiastic ,my bad!
Never heard of her before but its not bad , and shes not bad either .
demais
Could be "Let Me Roll It" been a Blues song🎸?
É SHOW
Not a bad version. Of course it is not good as Wings version but good
A version is covered by somebody else, thus cover version; the original performer doesn't have a version....they are the original. If you truly want to say Wings had a version of the song then I guess you could say they did the original version, but original is an important word to leave out.
Nancy gets better looking with age
Zig Zag and Top brought me here.
Only paul..
A little slow, but otherwise pretty damn great.
yes, a tad bit too slow, but pretty good
@@markv.5962 Paul plays it faster now on tour than he did when he recorded it.
embarrassing watching that after watching macartney do it live on stage ( on here not actually live )
LEEET MI ROULEEET
In case you are interested in older women that can play guitar, check out Sharon Isbin playing ASTURIAS looks and talent get better with age!!
Where is Ben Smith?
Excellent cover but the audience seem to be elsewhere ❤
Anyone else remember Linda Ronstadt covering this or am I going nuts??
It was Roll um Easy. Linda is one of my all time favorite vocalists.
@@timothyehrler4325 Funny, it seems that video was blocked on youtube. But, my toast to Linda Ronstadt, an awesome performer in her time. 🥂
@@timothyehrler4325 hmm, just checked, that's a different track. I was thinking of "Heart Like A Wheel", by Paul McCartney and Wings. ✌️
that is about a dead ads crowd
WINGS BEST POUL ,LIDA

Me likee
Nancy Wilson I'm yer Huckleberry
Why not slow it down--a little--bit--------mo-o-o-o-o-re...z-z-z-z-z...
only weakness the bass. Mr Pauls is so much better
Her legs......
Is there anything these women can’t do? No.
Ann/cake
Why didn't Ann throw down any serious vocals on this one?
Because it was unnecessary
GREAT choice! As usually though, this band is slow and anemic sounding, and credit/blame for anything like that lies with the drummer. Maybe a little quicker but still slower than the original would make it a bit heavier/rockier and less poppy.
Audiences now are so damn rude with all that yapping going on while they are trying to perform.
FY
There's something off. Idk if it's just that it's so slow or if it's her toy-like guitar tone, or just the bad mix, but it doesn't sound great to me.
A little too slow but otherwise good
Agreed
Nancy Wilson did not play lead much and still does not it was Roger Fisher and. Howard Leese and who ever they are using today
The other sister doesn't look all that enthusiatic!!
Anne doesn't look well.
Nancy Wilson makes menopause look hot lol...
Right On Brother !! !!
my god ..where is police to arrest them ????
Honestly i thought this version was trash. Love Heart but this was pretty bad.
