Refreshing to hear Mark and Jez feeling I guess like a lot of us...all stuck in "Trumpton" at present. I hope one day this album will be played live. Emotion and togetherness..we need it. I try and see them live a couple of times a year since 1993...miss it terribly

Guys, keep belonging, Beautiful Days is the BEST festival I've been to, and I've been to a few.
I really hope to go again.
Was due to see you as well as SLF and New Model Army at Kubix and will hopefully do so next July.

    Great interview.
This album (Peace) is a masterpiece. Very intense, very real but incredibly positive and life reaffirming.
I feel a love for Levellers now that I haven't felt since the early/mid 90s, despite feeling that Letters From The Underground & Static On The Airwaves are terrific albums. Letters in particular is really impressive.
Peace is a STATEMENT, it is of here and now. Possibly the band's finest achievement on record. Totally awesome, no stand out tracks...11 stand out tracks plus another 4 on the bonus disc aided by 5 cracking remixes of album tracks.
After all my waffle the best description of Peace the album lies in the opening line of the album opener Food Roof Family...IT'S EXQUISITE!

Great discussion. I still remember the March 1998 tour and the planting of trees for every ticket sold.
Anyone know if that did happen?

Totally agree with Mark about the biscuit manufacturing comment. Too much emphasis on the product rather than the content!
