I was so hoping for a video like this! 💚🌿 Your channel has become like everything I’m excited about all in one place, Potter, books, homevlogs, cooking, plants…I’ve enjoyed watching you for years but over the last few I’m enjoying it even more!
I love succulents, cacti and orcids, I have a nice collection of them. And one of my resently purchased cacti flowered this summer! That has never happened with me before.❤ Also I have several epipremnum aureum, also called golden photos (among many other names). This is a very easy plant to care for, and I have been able to cultivate several more separate plants from the mother plant! I need plants I can forget about for a week or even two weeks! No watering every day plant survives at my place I’m afraid!😂
That's a wonderful collection of plants! Now I'm thinking about getting the string of hearts 🤔 As for the plants recommendation, I'm a big fan of the Schlumbergera plants. I have few in my house. They are super easy to care for and propagate. AND they bloom in winter months! So beautiful!
@Cherry Wallis They are! And they look absolutely stunning! I have one with white flowers and one with pink flowers. They bring me so much joy in winter 🥰
You are a proud plant parent! Good one you! Over the years, I've grown and had many house plants, including a pineapple. Currently, I have 3 that are over 30 years old -- a ficus tree (Ficus benjamina), a maple bonsai (Acer palmatum), and a succulent jade plant (Crassula ovata). I've had them since they were babies. I also have a blooming orchid, 4 blooming African violets, numerous jade plant babies and a Christmas Cactus that decided it's a Thanksgiving and Easter Cactus. It is so satisfying being a plant parent....I love them all, too.
@@cherrywallis I started mine from the cut-off top of a pineapple I had devoured. Thought "Why not?" And it survived and thrived for a long while, growing a tiny pineapple out of the crown. You should give it a go.
Wow the plants you have are stunning, this confirms it I need to get some plants to care for of my own! Oh and if anyone sees this comment I’ll take any tips you all have about plant keeping
i have a hoya carnosa and i suspect it’ll flower this year and i’m soooo excited!! truly a beautiful plant with easy care and beautiful blooms once mature 😍
End of last year I was gifted a very small coloured Nettle, that nearly died. But it recovered and grew into a beautiful big plant, with many generations of children and grandchildren that I now keep gifting to friends at work and family. Its so pretty and very easy to take care of. I have absolutely fallen in love with this plant and it brings me such joy! 🌱
I bought an Oxalis the other week and I’ve found out they’re a perennial so go dormant in winter. I’ll have to make sure I put a little tag in the soil otherwise I’ll bin it thinking I’ve killed yet another plant. 😅 I won’t give you any tips for Caltheas. I’ve killed two. But I do currently have two alive that I’ve moved from the original location I killed two in. I think they were overheating near a window and radiator and now they’re in pots on the floor furthest away from both and they’re thriving!
Moss pole. To make any climbers grow tall with bigger leaves you will need a moss pole. You can look up how to attach it because I only put together one and my plant haven't attached yet so 😅 Also the monstera adansonii is basically pronounced ad-an-sony-eye. It might be slightly off, but it's pretty much how you pronounce it 😅
You should take a look at the Alocacia Dragon Scale! I have one and they are truly amazing! Besides that...how do you clean your plants from dust? And how do you transplant the babies of the plants without breaking the roots? Thank you Cherry, I love ALL your videos, they make me so happy ❤️
Love the pickle plant. So cute 😍. We have a Coral Plant (Jatropha multifida) He is a hardy guy who grows big and strong with minimal care. Just some water and coffee grounds and he is good to go.
I just bought a ruby ficus for my Mum for Mother’s Day and I would say it’s easy to care for since it’s from the brand Easycare. It can grow up to 4m and proffers tropical or sub-tropical climates. Ps what a lovely plant family you have 🌳🎍🪴🌹🪷🌵
I’ve had an Oxalis for a couple of years and it comes and goes :( the only place that’s the right amount of sun for it is super windy so I keeps dying. My favourite thing is when the leaves go to bed at night! I love that you’ve called it a gothic butterfly plant 🪴
I found a little, dried up bonsai tree abandoned in the hall of a storage building. I thought it was dead but upon inspection there was a singular green leaf. I took it home to see if I could coax it back to life. A year later, it is thriving under the window sill next to it's friendship plant pal. They bring me such joy.
I absolutely loved this video. I absolutely love and highly recommend a Christmas cactus. They're not rare but, they are easy to care for they can be easily propagated and given to friends and they get ginormous. I have one that I was given when my sister's grandmother-in-law passed away, it was hers, and it is probably close to 30 years old. I have 8 colours and I love them.
Great video!!! I have a Calathea rufibarba and it is SO easy to care for and has the best leaves! Soft and velvety! I also love my Hoya australis lisa - another easy plant to care for, that just keeps on giving! Gorgeous leaves and colours 😍
Love all your plants, Cherry! You are a great plant mom. We have always had Oxalis "shamrocks" in our home. I have one we have had for over 20 years. Right now I have 3 varieties, green, purple and the iron cross oxalic plants. If you really love your, you might want to look up the iron cross one. It is very unique looking. We have many house plants. You might want to try an Easter or Christmas cactus. I don't think they are true cacti. They are beautiful and when in bloom their flowers open during the day and close at night. They can bloom contiguous for months. Hoping you many joyful hours with your plants. Love and peace.
a dream come true😌 when i will start working and earn enough money i'll definitely buy as many plants as i can ! i already own 5 veryyyyy healthy little succulents (1 in particular that i named Brurtus (don't ask my why lol))! and it's honestly super easy to take care of ! i really recommand to try succculents, i'm sure you're gonna love'em ! 😍🥰❤
Love love love this!! String of Hearts is on my wishlist! I love Golden Pothos and ZZ Plants. Both super easy to take care of and their growth is just stunning.
I won't be repotting the False Shamrock for a while, it's only just moved into my home and I don't want to shock it, but yes I reckon it has potential to be quite big and bushy! 🥰
Oh, that ficus bonsai is so cute. We definitely have those trees here, they're called fig trees but not because they carry figs. And they grow SO big because they're so easy to keep alive. We just recently had to take two of them out cause they grow massive roots and they were starting to damage our walls. They were originally in pots but eventually grew so big they broke the pots and went into the ground😅😂 So they're popular for bonsais because compared to other species, they're more robust and can take the process of being miniaturized much better
Love all the plants! I’ve picked up a love for plants these last few years and have found I truly love the easy ones: Raven ZZs, Philodendron Brazil’s (any heartleaf Philo really) and Pothos.
Wow loved this. How do you know when to water them. I feel like I always end up killing plants by either water too frequently or not watering frequently enough by being scared to water them too frequently. Have you got any tips / schedule you like to follow?
Thank you for showing us your plant collection, Cherry! I wish I could have lots of plants but I live in the basement which is pretty cold and doesn't get much light.
I love this! It inspires me to be a better plant parent. I LOVE the variegated monstera! Have you seen them? They have white patches on their leaves like a dalmation
I have an asparagus fern and let me tell you they are the softest plant and I think you’ll really enjoy one ☺️ they kinda look like a mini tree and are quite easy to look after!
I didn't know oxalis were a rare plant! My mum has had one that she's managed to keep alive for about 15 years now! She repotted it a year ago and gave me some seeds, and I've grown my own oxalis from my mum's seeds! It's absolutely massive now (bigger than yours in the video) and I absolutely adore it! I'm really pleased I managed to grow some from seeds from my mum's original oxalis that she's had so long - and yes, I agree, oxalis has to be the most dramatic plant I've ever owned. 😅
Lol. Shamrock!! It wont be long before you are transplanting. It gets HUGE!!! Like you are gonna end up with it in a pot you cant move. My mom had one that was beautful!!❤❤💕
It's not rare but I love my Pathos it's so fun to watch it grow and it's technically a vine and super easy to propagate. A friend has had one for 20+ years and it wraps her living room and it's has so many babies for her it's just so fun and very hard to kill 😊❤
I love seeing all the plants! One of my first plants I got is a hypoestes. I didn't really have the best location for it, and I was a new plant mom so it took me a bit to figure it out, but it hung in there and is now one of my easier plants care wise. Also, the colors are so fun!
When I was a teenager I used to buy those tiny cacti because they were so cute, and most of them grew into humongous weapons until I couldn't repot them anymore, too painful to handle 😅
I have the mandrake plant as well and I call it Neville he is my only baby since I don’t have room for more sister is a hug plant mom but I do have one recommendation is Pink Princess Symphony Caladium if you love bright color leaves look at that one
I have a christmas cactus that is about 8 or 9 years old mum bought it for me and when i look at the cactus it reminds me of helr as she died nearly 4yrs ago. They are super easy to care for so would recommend having one. The one mum had is huge.
Such an amazing collection, thank you for sharing! 🌱💚 I have Calatheas, they do not like tap water much but other than that.. mines are not problematic at all. 😊 I fell in love with prayer plant (Maranta leuconeura Tricolor) at the beginning of my plant journey. Such an interesting plant! It actually moves its leaves, has vibrant colors and delicate light pink flowers, I think you would adore it. Keep your enthusiasm and continue to be this gorgeous plant owner! ✨
Yes I was going to look into collecting rain water, or filtering water for the calathea, I've heard they're fussy with water! Also I've been eyeing up a Prayer Plant for a while... the leaves are so beautiful!
They are so addictive lol I'm up to 18 so far, and I have found I have a pretty green thumb. My best plants I have are my large and very long Pothos I have a variegated and a neon and a variegated baby that is VERY quickly growing. But I think 2 my favorite's are my Syngoneum, she is growing like crazy and I have re potted her 3 times already since getting her, because she keeps outgrowing them she started in a 6 inch pot and is now in a 10 inch pot about to move into a 12 inch pot soon! And I have a Dragon Fruit plant that I got that was quite tiny and has doubled in size in less than 4 months and is just growing so beautifully, she looks like snakes and I need to get a medusa head planter for her but as quickly as she is growing she would outgrow it by the time summer is over anyways. She started in a 4 inch pot and in 4 months she is now in an 8 inch pot and they say they can grow over 20 feet vines, I do not know what I will do if she gets that long!
No you said you where at the garden center with your other half. 5:18 is where you said it. I knew for awhile you weren't interested. I'm happy for you eaither way been a follower since the beginning of your UA-cam. I just heard it an immediately jumped to the comments.
See years back I always wanted to be a plant parent and I kept killing them… so I decided no more plants butttt you got me wanting to try again I loooooove the Swiss tree one and the “mandrake”. Oh I’m in trouble lol 😅
Everything about this video is just!!! 🤌🏻🌿🤎 R.e the string of hearts, the garden centre would have bundled all the ‘strings’ on the top soul for them to re-root themselves and create more strings, becoming a ‘thicker’ plant rather than a few very, very long stems ☺️ xx
Please check out the Persian Shield plant. Once you've seen one, you'll never forget it. A moderately easy plant. Give it a go, if you can find it. Absolutely cool plant!
I absolutely love the String of Hearts 🩷 Good luck on being a great plant mom, Cherry! You're doing an amazing job I see💪 I have quite a few aloe veras. Just starting up parenting.😊
I love your plant collection! I have some similar plants to you! The mini monstera “Swiss cheese” plant would be a great addition to your collection of you like your big monstera! String of turtles is another vining plant that I have that I absolutely love! As well as a Hoya crimson queen or a pothos manjula! I’m still building up my collection, but I have about 34 plants so far!
I'm sold on a string of TURTLES! What a cool name, I can see why it's called that haha the leaves look like turtle shells. (I have a mini monstera later in the video btw!) 💚
I am an avid grower of plants for in the house, I also own an allotment and grow a mixture of plants giving food and flowers and I have a B&B area to plump up the bees and the butterflies.
Can I just ask also about the pickle plant…ones ears pricked up very much so when you stated that you were at the garden centre with, I quote “ my other half” 🤭 this filled my heart with lots of flutters. Do we need to look for hats? X
Oooo I have a Ficus Ginseng, I made the mistake of giving it a pot that was a tad too big and it is still a small tree but is could have been smaller had I paid attention 🫣
Pink Tradescantia Houseplants are pretty and I read aren't too bad to take care of. I have a horrible green thumb and tend to kill anything I attempt to grow. The only thing I ever successfully grew indoors was basil. It made the house smell lovely and nice to have the fresh herb whenever I needed them. But that is an herb and not a house plant so it doesn't really count. Have you thought of growing strawberries or cherry tomatoes in pots outside? That would be nice to have.
My first plant many, many years ago and I do mean many (40?), was a beautiful English Ivy. It's still alive and still beautiful. I didn't see one in your gorgeous collection. And I TRULY know what you mean about being obsessed with plants and being a plant mom.
Just brought a monstera plant today its teeny and looked so sad sat on the shelf. Had to rescue it. The tag refers to it as a monstera monkey plant and to water 2 times a week. Seems alot to me. How often do you water yours? ❤
I absolutely love any pothos!!! They are my favorite and they are really low maintenance, have beautiful leaves and there are so many different varieties! ❤🌿🪴

Definitely getting myself the pickle plant 😊
They're so cute and pickly! 🤭
Cherry your a amazing plant owner
Thank you so much! 🌿
I have absolutely no green fingers so i envy that you have so many beautiful babies!

Hearing cherry say other half eek! So glad your happy xx
You must be hearing things… 🥸
No you said you where at the garden center with your other half. 5:18 is where you said it. I knew for awhile you weren't interested. I'm happy for you eaither way been a follower since the beginning of your UA-cam. I just heard it an immediately jumped to the comments.
Make sure your string of hearts gets LOTS of light on top to keep it from balding 😊
Thanks for the tip! 🪴
See years back I always wanted to be a plant parent and I kept killing them… so I decided no more plants butttt you got me wanting to try again I loooooove the Swiss tree one and the “mandrake”. Oh I’m in trouble lol 😅
When you get a fur baby I highly recommend two kitties. Particularly if you can find a bonded pair needing rescue b

Oh… that makes a little more sense… should I not have detangled them? 🤔
Love your plants i have a plant called a string of pearls that is so easy to look after and its like your string of hear

Cherry is such a good plant mum🩷🩷🩷

If you love the regular Monstera Deliciosa, then you would definitely LOVE the Monstera Deliciosa Borsigiana Albo Variegata! 😊
It's on my wishlist! 😍
Please check out the Persian Shield plant. Once you've seen one, you'll never forget it. A moderately easy plant. Give it a go, if you can find it. Absolutely cool plant!
Wow wow wow, the PURPLE! It looks like an outdoor plant, but perhaps would tolerate a pot... I'll look into those more! Thank you! 💜
Absolutely amazing love it Cherry! ❤
Hello, Cherry! I’m so happy to see you!
Hello! 🥰
Wow the false clover, there is a similar plant like that in South Africa with purple flowers, it's considered a weed but beautiful
I absolutely love the String of Hearts 🩷
Good luck on being a great plant mom, Cherry! You're doing an amazing job I see💪
I have quite a few aloe veras. Just starting up parenting.😊
Good luck on your plant parent journey!
@@cherrywallis Thanks!😊
I have a Swiss cheese two actually, they are giant! They are bigger than me! (For reference im 5”1) Have fun! Luve u
@@cherrywallisomg I saw that and then totally forgot that I saw that 🙃 whoopsies
Great to see you back in another video as always Cherry 🤗
I actually had a Pink Tradescantia - it's the only plant I didn't do very well with, and I killed it! I might give one another go in the future.
My first plant many, many years ago and I do mean many (40?), was a beautiful English Ivy. It's still alive and still beautiful. I didn't see one in your gorgeous collection. And I TRULY know what you mean about being obsessed with plants and being a plant mom.
I do love ivy, maybe I'll get one for my collection!
Just brought a monstera plant today its teeny and looked so sad sat on the shelf. Had to rescue it. The tag refers to it as a monstera monkey plant and to water 2 times a week. Seems alot to me. How often do you water yours? ❤
We NEED a bookshelf tour please 🙏
I'm a plant mom too. I love aroids and herbs.
Love to see your excitement! ❤
🥰 It's been a while since I found something I felt passionate about.
@@cherrywallis And it's obvious how happy you are 😍 Now onto the adventure of finding something to be passionate about for myself 😅
This is AMAZING I f********* love it🥰❤️
It's not a rare plant, but I love my spider plant! They grow so easily and give you babies if you get a female one!!!
I'm a tree dad because I love the challenge of raising a tree
I actually have a tree I'm growing, it's a Silver Birch!
