Hello. Thank's for that video. Could you do also the battleship Iowa calss? Because I bought the kit and I have ploblems with fitting the shaft : to small ! Thank's in advance.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Bo Maddox I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Bo Maddox WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! I just got access to my Instagram account within about 45 minutes by using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but definitely worth the money :) Thanks so much you really help me out !
h Hugo just bought 1/350 Dunkerque, do you do a RC kit for this ship, or do I convert a kit already on the market and which one would you recommend, thks
I purchased the kit for the Yamato 1/350 model 78030, and received it sometime in February 2021. I noticed that the brass shafts for the propellers are much shorter then the ones you show in the conversion video, could you please explain, and will the ones I received work just as well.
Well, identify the clockwise and counterclockwise propellers, then testing the motors in the same direction of rotation and mark down the negative and positive pole. Welding the same pole in a single wire then connect to ESC. A ESC of 180A is pretty enough for 180 motor X4.
what esc did you used to install 4 motors?because some people says that it is not good to install more than 1 motor in 1 esc?i want to build like that please help me ...
Great vidoe i am rc convesion too.Can u share where can get all conversion parts for conversion, specially motor, shaft proppler and stuffing box..thank you
Hugo, Thank you for adding your excellent videos to UA-cam! I so enjoy watching them. I just acquired a 1/200 Nichimo Yamato kit. What would you recommend I get to RC it? I got this kit to build again. This kit is re-living my childhood when I purchased and built it in the 1970's. That boat I gave away to a hobby shop when I moved.
Great video buddy. I have a question, I'm interested in the plastic model USS Enterprise air craft carrier made by Tamiya. Could I install a electric motor and a esc in this model to make it a RC ship? Thumbs up on your video buddy.
Hi, for No. 78030 I seal the front deck while the rear deck is just dry assembly via its original mechanism. Because for 1/350 scale is not that huge, the kit would not deform so much. But in 1/250 Yamato, I am doing almost the same but utilize magnetic to firmly stick the rear deck and the hull.
@@IRFSI It depends, from my habits for the maintenance may not requires opening all decks. Say for an extreme example like 1/350 ROMA, it only available for cut off the shape of down bridge for maintenance. So, for battery recharging just a balanced wire could be drag outside is enough. But for such ship the water proof process should be done in a high level. Return to Yamato, the size of opening the rear deck is quite adequate for pulling the battery pack out or ordinary checking or even replace the ESC or motor. All in all, well managing the position of setting each unit before making a final decision is exactly essential.
@@Hugo-ot7xu well if it is possible to recharge it from wire alone, it would be huge help. Then don't need to open all of the deck. Thanks for your huge help ^^
@@IRFSI You are welcome. Exactly, if a ship's waterproof on shafting done reach to a submarine level, it would be an ideal approach for ship to maintain a complete wooden deck. No extra cutting works is required.
Thank you very much for posting good videos! I really appreciate those! Keep posting good videos! I am in Vancouver, Canada. I wish I could see your models. I subscribed your channel. Thanks again.
I'm not into RC, so I don't know anything and I just stumbled upon this video. Just asking whether if it's possible to like e.g use one motor for two propellers so that the ship moves more "realistically" and not very fast?
At 2:17, when you were mounting the motor to the brass support, can you tell me what size of screw you used. I have a smilar motor I'm using to convert a plastic patrol boat to RC.
Awesome conversion!! I have the old 78014 and I'm petty interested in that RC conversion. Where could I find-buy all those parts?? That propellers, shafts, servos...
I haven't run it yet, but the stuff seems to be of high quality and comes with some things I easnt expecting such as servo linkage, a servo mount etc. I bought mine with the wooden deck detail and man am i glad i did. It is beautiful and fit my #30 Yamato kit perfectly.
Hi, receiver is not conflict to ESC. The ESC is power for motors and receiver as well. On the other hand, receiver control the ESC output power via signal wire. I guess you mention for a sort of receiver integrate with ESC, that's available.
@@Hugo-ot7xu Thats what I thought mine would have done. Tamiya makes good solid structures that stay in place. facebook.com/xchrisx.xtaylorx/videos/1956161064497044/
Hi, just sort out the motors' wires via larboard/starboard and test one side of them in correct rotation. For the ESC with just two wires output, we have to weld four power-supply wires into two junctions. Then other opposite two are inreverse, similary, welding four junctions from both side into two junctions to connect with the ESC.

What would be the recommended start mode for this? I'm asking because my motors jump back and forth on my setup but my solder joints are good.
Excellent build, simply excellent.
Grandios, nice Work
Very very awesome conversion Hugo! However... I don't think the Yamato could go that fast hahaha, well done!
Awesome!!! Congratulations!
Magnificent! Also very useful, because I'm adapting a 350 scale Scharnhorst
