FLEET PARADE | Grey Fleet amazing rc-ships
- Once a year high up in the north the international Fleet Parade of the gray ships takes place.
This time the selection of the footage was particularly difficult. We had a lot of fun shooting these unique ships in the natural water. The detaility of the vesseles was particularly impressive.
Have fun looking.

The detail on these battle cruisers is MIND BLOWING!!! I think they look even better sailing on a natural lake instead of a swimming pool. Just adds to the realism:)
Hi Tiffsaver, you are definitely right! Models in a natural lake are much more realistic! I´m glad, you did enjoy it!
Best wishes,
Holger
Their were a few battleships
Oh, okay! It just started firing SAMs!!
Simply amazing. All of them.
Hi MickMaan,.. yep,.. what a great number of functions! Thanks a lot, I´m glad, you did enjoy watching the fleet!
I´ll pass your nice praise on to the great boatbuilders!
Have a nice day!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
At 1:36 NELSON has strange proportions but looks handsome in this shot , with the main armament and that huge, blocky superstructure . Impressive . Wales UK
Hi fred Ted,
nice to see you again. I am not sure, if the original NELSON has the same proportions. But I agree, that some ships in original have strange propotions, made by the ship constructor.
Best wishes Bilge from Subwaterfilm
Hi hi Bilge , yes they were made with strange looks , ( NELSON and RODNEY .) turrets at the bow and middle , superstructure at the stern , but the design kinda grows on you ! Best regards from Wales .
Hi Steve, I've discussed this design with Holger, and he supports your point of view. So will habe to get to know these ships first. But as Holger also points out, nearly every freighter an older container ships also have their deckshouses aft.
Greetings,
Bilge
Hi hi , if you look on google for " G3 Battleship" you can see what they would have been before being cut down by Washington Treaty . The original idea was to have 2 turrets , then the armoured bridge , then the 3rd turret , then the engines boats and secondary armament . My hobby used to be making scale drawings of warships so it is interesting to study "what they might have been ." and yes , the machinery at the stern is almost universal configuration now . The sailors , who liked their ships to be handsome , called them NELSOL AND RODNOL , after the fleet oil tankers , who all had names ending with OL ! I have a degree in 3 dimensional design so it is shapes and proportions that interest me.
The Nelson and the Rodney - curtailed by the Washington Treaty - and yet distinct with those very long foredecks. They're a bit of a favourite.
The ship that fired missiles was great! Now that's detail!
Hi Tim,.. sorry for answering so late.... but you are totally right,.. the missle-firing-ship... yep,. that´s detail!!! Totally awsome to watch... you know, that me made a special videoclip about her? If not,... here´s the link: ua-cam.com/video/GXDya-uHk2Q/v-deo.html
Enjoy it... :-)
Best wishes,
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Bismarck, USS Missouri, Scharnhost, Graf Spee, Lützow, Sms Derfflinger, Sms Kaiser, HMS Nelson, Admiral hipper (oder Prinz Eugen), Lütjens (Zerstörer), Brandenburg (Fregatte), USS Benson... Vielleicht?
LG,
Holger
Danke Dir, mein Freund!
Holger
Holger
Excellent, the best & superb !! You can be Director of film in Hollywood, one day 👍✔
Hihi...thanks a lot..But this Video wasn't entirely my work this time.. the owner of this Model and his friend did film the footage.. we did only arrange and edit it 😇
I actually have a model of Bismarck and although it cannot fire or change direction on its own (that's a BIG problem) when voyaging, it does move well and since I got a smoke machine installed in it, it fits almost every characteristic of the real one when cruising. Love these ships more. Bon voyage!
This vid gets 9.9 for the ships , WoW , the builders 10 / 10
the person who put together this video 10 / 10 , what a job you did . I watched it 3 times
Definately on my bucket list to attend this meet in the future. An excellent video as always with some very impressive ship builds.
That would be great! ... I´d like to get to know you, too. And, even if the lake is small the spirit there is really high!
Thanks my friend!
Holger
You can email me at azlanrichs@gmail.com. I love this RC
Uss Missouri in all her glory. I love it
❤❤❤😮😮😮 wow epic view!!!
These R/C naval ships are indeed amazing and awesome!!!
👍, thanks and greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
wow.. That's impresive!
Hi Neifmann,... thanks a lot... yep, those were some realy nice build Grey Ships at the Fleet Parade... some of those vessels took over 3 Years building time!
Hava a good start in to the new week!
Holger
model ships...my oldest greatest love from childhood...soon I'll be able to build them again.
Hi,
thats great to hear, that you want to built again. Enjoy your hobby
Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
These ships have awesome details amazing job with the Iowa class
Hi Stephanie, yes, I´m totally with you on this.... it dazzles me everytime, how much passion they build into their models... for me on my models it´s more the "seaworthiness", to be able to take the sea, as it comes,.... but all those great details... simply fantastic!
Thanks for your nice comment 😊👍
Have a great weekend!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
WOW Big RC Battleship!
Well nice job with all of them even that destroyer
Hihi... you don´t like destroyers so much? "Even that destroyer" :-)... hihi... actually I must admit I like ships... wether those are ships of war, offshore or researchvessels (those are my favorites), harbour or inland-vessels, I do like them. Some more, others less... 😇
Thanks and best wishes,
Holger
Now that's damn impressive
Hi D R, thanks a lot! And I can assure you,... filming these little leviathans is quite an adventure! :-))) I enjoy it a lot!
Have a great day!
Holger
Love the detail of the ships. And I like how you have famous ships like Admiral Graf Spee and USS Missouri
A esquadra mais linda que já vi 👏💥👍
How cool. I love ships since I was a kid. Arrrr me harties!!
Nelson class my favourite...🇬🇧
these are awesome pieces. well looked after.
Hi Mark,.. sorry, for the late answer,... I´m glad, you did enjoy watching the rc Fleet Parade. Yes, those vessels are definitely well looked after and build with a big portion of love!
Thanks and best wishes,
Holger
I'd love something like this. Now we just need somewhere to sell the hulls to us so we can fit out the electronics as we want and when we can afford it. Because these actual ships look awesome.
The coolest video ever ! Iowa class battleship wins
It's an RC paradise!
🌊🌊🌊🚢🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊😄, greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
Outstanding craftmenship ...
Those Models are build with a big portion of passion 😉👍... and you can really see this 👍
Thanks and best wishes!
Holger
This inspired me to try to built these with firing control system and a controller that controls everything like that real ones
Fortunately, I'm still young
This is amazing wow look at that missile go from the destroyer
Another brilliant video.
Hi Anthony,..Thanks a lot 😇
I'm glad, you do enjoy watching our videos 👍.
It's a pleasure, to read this..
Thanks and have a great day!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Incredible skill and attention to detail!
Wow 😳😃😃😃👌👌👌👌
Props for the shortest intro a video could have
Nice
Beautiful craftsmanship!
Thanks a lot! I´m sure the captains and builders of those Models will apreciate your nice comment! :-)
Oh so very cool
Hi, thanks for whatching and your comment 🌊🌊🚢🌊, Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
My favorite battleships tirpitz, bismarck , iowa and missouri .
the big ones 😉👍
When IOWA visited Hamburg, I was lucky to get aboard.. really an impressive ship!!
I would love to bring my rc Stuka... and see what I could do.
You are for me best UA-cam channel.
Hi kefo Pop 82,
thanks for your comment. We are glad you do like us that much! A biiig thank you from the Subwaterfilm Team 😇👍
Best wishes and have a great week!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Impressive 👍 the amount of details on that ships
Awesome
Breathtaking
I like the very last ship: Fletcher FTW
With a good cameraman they could be used for a movie
Sniff,... 😔. So I´m not a good cameraman 😢. I think, I will head straight into the water...
Oh,.. wait,.. actually that´s where I do spend most of my time?! Hihi... no, jokes aside,.. thanks a lot for your nice praise and I´m totally with you,.. some of those models really have studio quality :-)
Best wishes!
Holger
cool warships! i built several 1/700 scale ones. but i have never controlled one rc warship. this is making me wanna convert one of them to RC or start from scratch hehe.
Hi, modelboat making is a nice hobby. Remote control makes this hobby even more fun. Get startet ans have fun. Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
LG
Holger
Im 46yrs old and started playin with toys again
Well, we all still play with toy boats, even though we are all grown-up 😊
I liked the Missouri and the Bismarck.
Hi Dylan.. hihi.. yep, those Giants of the Seas really are great vessels... it´s a bit of magic seeing them cutting through the waves....
Thanks and best wishes!
Holger
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
They are all beautiful RC ships. But I dont understand why some people dislike these videos.?..:(
Hi Celal,.. opinions are different... but I've gut to admit, I don't understand that either...
It would be much appreciated, if that one would also write a comment, why he did so... 🤔❓
Sadly all the constructive criticism, which we habe already learned a lot of, comes from our own audience... not from the ones giving dislikes..
But,...as I started with, there are different approaches and opinions..
Thanks and have a great day, my friend!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Danke Dir!
Ich wünsche Dir ebenfalls einen schönen Abend!
Holger
Danke dir, Holger..:)
Gern geschehen! 😊👍
Verry good

Great video, sometime next year I'm gonna try to build the uss Johnston or at least get a hull done.
Hi, thanks....wish you good luck and fun building the ship. Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
My god! My wet dream comes to life!
Hihi.. hi Kenshindegozaru... those ships are great, aren´t they?!! There is so much great building and even more technique in those vessels... a great thing to enjoy!
Thanks for your nice comment Kenshin!
Have a great day!
Holger
@@Subwaterfilm Indeed, good sir.
Thank you, Sir!
☺👍
Wish to see Battle ships with their guns moving and firing like how the destroyer fired missiles..would have looked so convincingly real
Great boats

From the mist a shape a ship is taking form and the silence of the seas about to drift into a storm
Great !!!!!!
Awesome video! Thank you!
Hello,
thanks and thanks for all the wonderful models, we were allowed to film.
Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
Very so super nice!
When I was a kid my step brother had this expensive speed boat he bragged up and down about while I had a US CG cutter. When we took them to the pond his kept getting stalled out and tangled in the weeds under the water and my cutter would have to go out and push him back in
hi, you had a RC US Coast Guard...what a nice ship! I like it. Then your ship has done its job well. Greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
This is awsome!!!!!!
Realmente inpresionante :o
Thanks a lot! Glad you did like it...
Best wishes,
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Wow.....
Hi MAN D.M., ... thanks a lot :-) I´m glad you were so stunned by our videoclip about the fleet parade :-)
Thanks a lot ans best wishes!
Holger
+Torro ́s RC Channel Hi Torro,... Danke Dir 😇, .. aber gerne doch 😊👍
LG,
Holger
Excellent camera work ..
Overall that was pretty good with fitting background music that wasnt too loud it covered up the ship sounds. Shame though they didnt have Yamato there.
Hi Izumi,.. also the YAMATO is also quite well known, there are hardly any on our waters... perhaps its because of the sheer size of the big Ship... ? She´s quite impressive, that´s for sure!
Thanks a lot and best wishes!
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Cooles Video.
Soviel Detailtreue sieht man selten. Weiter so!!!
Holger
I built a very nice one a few years back, never again will I do it! Why? It sunk on its first voyage, it's sitting on the bottom of the Mariana Trench!
Hihi.. okay,.. but if it got out to the Mariana Trench it did sail quite well and far... so I would conside it a complete succes.. O:-)
Actually if yours did sunk it really hurts... but you can do better next time... try the hull in a pool,... before setting sail on sea,... implementing a pump wich gets actiavated by water......
So, there are ways to avoid this sad story...
Best wishes,
Holger
amazing !
Hi Bryan,.. thanks a lot :-) It was an fascinating event :-)
Have a great day,
Holger from Subwaterfilm
Another great video my friend. Some very impressive warships there, very realistic on the water.
Hi Charlie, thanks a lot! Yes those were some really nicely build ones... and most impressively from quite a lot of nations.... all together 😉😇
Thanks my friend,... have a great week!
Holger
I wish I was this skilled
Hi Alexander,... hihi.. yep,.. I know what you mean.... I would wish to be so skilled, too. But actually,.. if you take a closer look,... those are also homebuild... it´s just the size and the Distance wich makes them that perfect! So if you start with a much smaller boat,.. you´ll see, that it will not that hard... :-)
And until then,.. just enjoy the Models others have built! Best wishes,
Holger
@@Subwaterfilm Thanks!
You're welcome! 😇👍
Nice boat, nice video.

+Niklas Richter Hi Niklas, ... vielen Dank.
LG,
Holger
perhaps s vid doing what you did with the bulk carrier/tanker ships in the true ocean,,,march of the grey ghosts of navy might.would be great to see the old girls defending their status as the most powerful!
Hi Roddy,.. I´m sure that really would look great... those old girls fighting the waves with pure power.... but sadly only a few modellers do challenge the sea with their models... and 8 of them did never come back.... wich is quite sad, if you have such a great model... building 2 to 3 years and then watch it go down....
But,.. let´s see, wich vessels will come to the baltic marathon this year... perhaps a warship will attend, too.
Best wishes,
Holger
wow,8 were lost?would that be because of their low draft?I see that they don't have much freeboard.
Hi Roddy,... no,.. actually the Draft isn´t the problem... the build,.. or better the watertightness of the superstructure and the deck... some got lost, because their superstructure got washed of in a big wave... other simply capsized and then sunk because the superstructure had some wholes in it. Again others simply had too many functions like cranes, wich are hardly to get watertight.....
If you want your boat to go "offshore", you´ll have have to think this through thoughtfully :-)
ahh,I see.sucks to lose a ship whilst having fun.hope to see it one day though.
Actually, I hope that, too! Would be great...
Have a great start into the new week!
Holger
Wow, nice video! What are this ships made of? Aluminium on a wood frame?
Hi Bence,.. thanks a lot :-). Most of these Modelships are made from wood. A wooden frame, planked with wood. Then often a glasfiber mat above it.... The other way these Ships are made, is buying a hull made of plastic or even a whole kit, to build it upf...
I hope this helps you a bit....
Best wishes,
Holger
Hallo Holger,
I always look forward to your video:-)
+K .Morizou Hi my Friend,..thanks a lot 😇
it's live of an honour, to read this from a modelbuilder like you 👍
Have a nice weekend, my friend!
Holger
Nice video!!
so COOL
😄, greetings Bilge from Subwaterfilm
The winners for me are the German E-boat, you see a lot of Iowa, Bismarck, Yamato, North Carolina, and a few Scharnhorst class & 1 KMS Admiral Graf See but not that one, 1:57 SMS Westfalen, I did not expect to see a dreadnought here, the German frigate with a functional missile launching system,
Thanks,..I'm glad you enjoyed watching it 🌊🚢🎥😉👍
1:39 Bismarck: up close, rodney: center, and hms hood:far back
Thats Scharnhorst, Nelson, and Bismarck
My mistake lol
Nice !
Hi Slender Man,.. thanks :-) It really was an interesting event.... so much so large vessels in one port... really nice! 😇👍
Thanks and best wishes,
Holger from Subwaterfilm
