Between Legacy,FTD,MRS , we are living in some great times for Elvis releases, like you I have a soft spot for love letters album ,could never understand why it wasn't liked so much
same here, have both of them and really love them. in fact i have loads of those albums ripped into mp3 and put them on my phone so i have them with me where I go 😛
You can't go wrong with Elvis in ' 70, and although I really love I was born about 10 000 years ago (he sings my name😃😉) I have to agree that its very weird inbetween the tracks ,I think from Elvis in Nashville is just FANTASTIC its one I often listnen to . Enjoyed the video my friend ,thank's👍👍have a great week
Definitely some good stuff there. I enjoy many of these June 70 recordings. I have to admit I never listen to love letter from elvis album. I never liked it. The others , yes. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Juan
Hey Sean 👋 Ive been watching your videos now for a good few weeks ...but ive never commented before now 😕! I really do enjoyed your style and presentation mate ....all great content also 👌.... Im the same age as you ...58 🙄 ....and ive been an Elvis fan / collector since the age of 11 .... Ive had a lot of Elvis experiences in my life .... 1970 is one of my favourite Elvis periods....he was never better to me ! I have all the releases you showed here ( except the bootleg cd ) .... Looking forward to your TTWII video. .... Cheers 🎶🎙🥂
Hi Paul, great to hear from you! Getting to hear from fellow fans is the absolute best thing about doing this and it's incredibly rewarding to hear that people seem to be enjoying the content. Hope this will be the first of many comments from you 😊
@sincerelyelvispresley It won't be the last Sean 😀 ..... I enjoyed your video regarding A Boy From Tupelo/ FTD Book and CD set ... 2 weeks ago I picked up a great copy for £136 + postage 😀 In the same week I picked up ... TTWII/ FTD Book and the 8 cd set for £270 including postage! Still carnt believe it ....wanted it for so long ! Mint Condition! Right place / right time as they say ! Cheers 🎙🎶🥂
@sincerelyelvispresley may as well have been 😀 ....its £500 at the Elvis Shop London !! Still have copies there ..... No on was bidding on it ...the box was slightly damaged ( but fixed that ) ....but book and cds are mint 👌 My missus still doesn't understand though 😕 🤣🎙🎶
I wasn't going to watch any of of your video's because I wanted to save them for when I am forced to my bed for 3 months after surgery is coming up, but i couldn't resist this one. I have all sony legacy double digipack albums and i love country and love letters, love letters is really underestamated? of how you say that in English? But really a shame they put a song in between the country album, they should redo that album without the fill up in between, it is really stupid in my eyes. Just like you just started 1,5 year ago with records but I am glad to have most of his albums again. And loads of cd and boxsets. Also love the Nashville boxsets, have both of them, the blue and the brown one. You have an amazing collection of books which i lack, already looking a year for Elvis By The Presleys book after I got the double dvd and double cd. But yeah im ramblin away here, Love the Love letters album. Same as so many songs that should be higher in the publics eye/ear. Everyone knows teddy bear and it's now or never, are you lonesome tonight and all the mainstream songs, but hardly anyone outside Elvis fans knows songs like I washed my hands in muddy waters etc.
@@sincerelyelvispresley ah yeah thank you but it's business as usual for me 😂 😂 more important is that I, save the videos to watch then 😂 but like the channel from you, lots of information thank you for that!
@@sincerelyelvispresley I really like those Sony Legacy Edition 2 cd digipacks. They should do all albums this way. They are affordable, extra tracks, informative booklet and easy to store. I started my collection again with these. Sadly there are only ten of them. Love your ftd sets and lps from the Nashville boxes. Ftd is a no go for me sadly.
@@sincerelyelvispresley so true, but one thing for me as well is that ftd has lots of same track in a row, which is, normal for rehearsal but not to listen to. I like the Nashville, it's a take this and that but it's one and not ten in a row. I don't know how to explain it in English. Sorry for that. I do have too much monkey business from ftd but it's a, normal CD
Nothing to do with the video mate. , just sitting here watching and listening to a bit of Elvis and maybe a idea for a video from you at some stage ( not that you need ideas ) . I love the session FTD box sets that are being released. I have most ,most are packed up with the rest of my collection in New Zealand,I have three here in Australia with me now but back to my point. When he was recording these sessions he never would have thought they would ever be released let alone sell the way they do ,that his fans both old and new would want to buy them ! Buy just about anything we can get our hands on just to hear basically his voice . And remember this was a man who was worried he would be forgotten! We can complain about this and that etc but I know of no other singer who has passed that has a label set up just for him ! Fans who nearly 50 years later since can't get enough of him ,have people like you setting up web pages to talk about him ! So why do we do it ? Why are we still buying whatever has his name on it ? What is the magic of Elvis Presley? I believe the answer is in these sessions boxsets where we hear him as him ,not being Elvis if that makes sense , Elvis just being a man . Hope all that makes sense
What is the magic of Elvis Presley? Wow, now there's a big old topic. Not sure I could do that justice, not sure anyone could for that matter, but I'll give that some thought, there might be an angle there somewhere. Thanks 👍🏻
@@sincerelyelvispresley have you thought about doing a live show ? I know it's a big question (the first one lol) can't sleep so lots of time to think sorry mate
@@sincerelyelvispresley maybe that's the show thou ,"what is the magic of Elvis Presley"? Tell yours and ask for ours ,the stories behind why we live Elvis
I think they learnt after doing that with 10000 years and never did it again , and I'm not aware of them doing it with any other artist either , the album certainly didn't need it . Bit of a gimmick that P.R. guys come up with who didn't really understand Elvis
RCA bods who didn't really understand Elvis? Surely not! Between the label and the Colonel it's often hard to tell who was most at fault for some of the questionable decisions made about Elvis releases
@@sincerelyelvispresley yea that's true ,so glad Elvis produced much of his stuff ,I do think Felton did right by Elvis as much as he could ,being a contractor I think helped with that . Great video! I absolutely Love Letters! A fantastic album indeed!

Another interesting video Sean ❤️ I like all his material from the Seventies. " Elvis Country " is one of my favourite album. Great stuff as usual
Thank you, yes Elvis Country is fabulous, but would have been even better without the dodgy gimmick 😊
@@sincerelyelvispresley yes it's a little weird. They want to put something original but, to be honest, it's annoying sometimes 🤣🤣

I made a cassette and edited out “I was born”, not perfect but it was fine. I agree on Love Letters, I never felt the tracks were “left overs”. TCB
Great idea Steve, wish I'd thought of doing that myself at the time, instead of just putting up with it and grumbling about it!
