"The Ford Tourneo Connect offers far more space than a Ford C-MAX, yet is several thousand pounds cheaper." - Авто та транспорт
I hired one in Austria over Xmas. It was a 7-seater diesel ( I think it was the Platinum edition) with all conceivable extras - it carried 6 of us and luggage (including skis and boots for 2 passengers) comfortably. It was roomy, quiet and and quite rapid (not sure what the engine size was) for such a big car. It hid it's van roots very well - I was truly very impressed with this car and how it coped with a lot of luggage, people, varied road conditions (incl snow) and proved very economical (average 7.0l/100km)..

That would convert well into a camper van!
I bought one today, the Titanium version and for a very good price. Ok it's not gonna win any beauty contest but i drive a cab and for me this is the perfect car to do the job.
What is your revered after 6 years?i want to buy one
How many miles do you have on that car now and how has it been holding up?
@@luperamos7307 I sold it after 2 years when it had 100.000 miles on it cos it started to have troubles so i was not happy with this car. Now i drive a Honda C-RV Hybride and thats the best car i ever owned. Do yourself a favour, walk away from Ford dealers!
Finally Carbuyer review this car! And FYI on the 7-seater version the seats fold flat
I love the design!
The thing is, if you drive a van, you can feel the suspension is better when you have some heavy load in the back.
This one is perfect to be used as a taxi.

I can almost stand up in here!
Lemmy: I can REALLY stand up in here! Best! MPV! Ever!
Yooka: What are you talking about? And who’s Lemmy?
This looks like a great car
could you do the grand connect review
Great review, I am considering this as my next vehicle. Just a quick q, why is it an MPV and does that affect road fund or business tax benefits?
How many takes did you need for the jump at about 1:10? I would have hit my head to the doorframe or ceiling at least a few times... :-D
This would make a great hot hatch!
In America the Ford Torneo Connect is called the Ford Trnsit Connect
All the cars (or vans?) in this class have same type dash material, vw and french vans also have hard/plastic materials.
Excellent first car I might add. Most Connect MPVs are cheap on the used market, parts and maintenance are cheap too and there's plenty of space in the back for... stuff.
Can u do a Jeep Wrangler review. Just wondering how good or bad this car is, it has been made for years same style and is a bit of a classic but i have also heard negative feedback on it.
my new car just a shame the don't do a auto tdci so have to get a petrol auto nice to see the same colour am getting it looks very nice
I sat in one of these at the dealership the other day as I was waiting for my van to be serviced. I think my next company van will be the new transit connect as I'm currently driving the 2010 version of it.
I think practicality is the keyword here. It offers a nice amount of space. Everything was nicely built and practical, but it definitely doesn't offer anything for the car enthusiast.
One thing that caught my eye (compared to the old transit/tourneo connect) was that the dashboard was very deep. In addition to the sloping bonnet, it was very difficult to judge where the front corners of the car are. Front parking sensors are not even a factory option (at least in Finland).
Thank you Ford for bringing back the minivan there is only one flaw this minivan should be built in Oakville Ontario Canada Other than that you did it perfectly
Including Vanman paper. Brilliant!
Please make a Renault Kangoo rivew!!!
Hired one of these, a silver 7 seater long version in three U.S, apart from a few annoying rattle/squeak noises it was very good, spacious & with a smooth engine, not the most powerful, & did about 30mpg which is better than a few other cars we have had there, although it seemed to drink the regular unleaded quicker whereas the plus & premium grades, premium especially it did noticeably better
the U.S*
The new tourneo connect 2018 please?
I can see this car being used as a Hackney Taxi in Brighton.
Would this fit in a garage
This car is so tall, I want one for my dogs
Safety first - never adjust your seat while on the move, Mat!
Does it have halogen headlights?
Why have they reuploaded it?
Volkswagen Caddy is Light Years Ahead of this, you should Consider reviewing one Someday !
Yeah they drive nice, i had one for 3 years as a company car and could do handbrake turns all day long.:) but just for family practicality I saved money and bought a berlingo
Can anyone tell me if the second row of 3 seats remove in the Grandwhen bought as an option with 5 seatsI want a grand but with 5 seats the second row of 3 do not remove in the usual 7 seater they do in the 5 seat version I want to order a 5 seat grandin the grand when in comes with 7 seats the second row of 3 seats do not remove they recess into the floor partially to match up with backs of the folded 3 row(the 2 seats at the back)they are not removable i would not have a flat foorbut they are in the 5 seater and as I want a 5 seater grand I am trying to find out what type of second row I will have?can you believe 3 different ford dealers 5 sales men and ford themselves after 10 min on the phone don't know
Hola buenos días cuento el precio
Good think about this car , in UK is pretty cheap Insurance for 1.6 diesel and is economic considering that different car makes doing engines over 2 L or inside looking like some old van . I am looking forward to buying this one ,for me is the best looking MPV .however the seven seater is a bit too big like for me.
I can see this car popular among companies and delivery drivers, however for family... the looks cross it out unofortunately i guess.
bartiz12 after 3 years of taxi ing, what would you say?
How come this video does not show up on the carbuyer video list? I only stumble upon this review from the carbuyer website. It does not show up on my subscription at all.
They publish videos on the website 4 days earlier. Today they made it public on UA-cam.
Why use that paper sxn
that back of the steering wheel inside the cabin camera looks like like it's been eaten by a dog. on 2:33 for example. what a quality item!
How about tourneo courier? Please?
Make a review of the new fiat dobló please!! you have already tested the tourneo and the partner/Berlingo, i think that the dobló is one of the best mpv that you can buy, thanks!!!
Just bought this as a WAV!
Love the car XD
Mat looks tiny inside that super roomy van..however tourneo connect is quite an interesting choice for people who need more room in their car
i think this is good for promiscous use (work and family) with low mileage, americans would get a double crew pickup with hardtop or pickup derived SUV which would be much better, but in europe that's not viable for the usual reasons.
Maurazionissan
no armrest???
Great car,but i'll wait for Dacia's Kangoo version,much cheaper and less complicated.[for enthousiasm i got my TRX850...]
"Light year" is a unit of distance, not time.
:P
I've seen 14 year old Volkswagens with less creases in the seat bases than this one year old ford.
is this the short or long wheelbase?
Short. It's the 5 seater rather than 7 seater (Grand Tourneo Connect) version.
10/10 would convert into camper van
Yeah!
The exterior looks like a patchwork of several car parts.
Otherwise I'm amazed by the diversity of cars today. So many niches covered and it won't stop growing.
If you hate lifting out the rear seats in this, buy a Kangoo, they fold flat into the floor.
BEST MINIVAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carbuyer When are you gonna review the 2014 Audi A8L..??
If you do, please let Mat Watson do the job, and not Rebecca..
You know I wouldn't be able to focus on the car then ;)
Want to buy one then create my own mini campervan
The sun newspaper let the whole thing down!
How did he jump in and not bump his head lol
@ 5:38. Whilst it's a fact (just by observing traffic) that a significant proportion of drivers on British roads would fail the standard beginners drivers test simply because they do not drive at safe distances from the front vehicle. And taking your hands completely of the wheel ( 5:38) would be an instant driving test failure ( car review or not).
Though of course ( as research has shown) the average UK driver thinks their a safer/better driver than the average. That's narcissism for ya folks ;-) .
Of course don’t listen to driving “experts” (driving test instructors) ,scientists ( climate environmental/change) or any other people whom have gained qualifications in any specific area as Joe blogs (politics in general) always thinks it knows better.
Great for FUNERALS!
Something fishy about that newspaper...
I would still call it a van, not a minivan. I'd just call it a small passenger van.
i think is a lot of car for the money :)

In Ukrein ths is tape kar no hev!
I think I'm about to be sick....
4:57 Do you even lift bro?? lol
Actually, he is quite a big guy!
Also he can't stop in passing to knock down another French car.
too bad for him, i'v seen all MPV and got a Berlingo XTR with Modutop :)
and happily drove 1000km in the first week.
Is French car really that bad? Here is SEA Peugeot and Citroen sales is not that good, since they are sitting in between Japanese and German cars. However I like their style and quality.
Leo Phan PSA have improved immensely with their recent cars but only after nearly going bankrupt. Same can be said for Opel/GM.
Why the hell would you buy the five seater version!! The only Tourneo Connect MPVs Ford will sell will be the 7 seater versions.
100. Yorum ve 800. Like

+1 for America!
It definetly beats the Citroen Berlingo when it comes to pure practical uglyness.
A van is not a car and people buying vans and then call it a car, definetly can't be called car enthousiasts.
Still, even if you have no taste at all and what something that is easy to move big boxes from A to B, I don't see why you should go for this one. It reminds me in some way of the Austin Allegra, desperatly trying to be a better, more stylish car then it actually was.
And speaking of that car, what a shit color is this? Is it back 1974 or what?
you said it first - this is not a car for enthusiasts. not one for status conscious either. if you see cars just as means of transportation that need to be roomy, economical and practical - this looks like the car to buy. I don;t know anyone like that, though...
***** enthusiasm is not snobbery. your examples don't work either because if you didn;t care about the comfort and aspects of a house you could have shared an apartment with some strangers. instead of a banana you can eat some vitamins from a tube.
everything is a matter of choice and taste, to say the least.
***** cost effective is public transportation or an old car or a bicicle. if new car is a must that Dacia Logan is the best choice in terms of cost efficiency.
if you need more than transport for less, the whole thing starts...
you do to a certain extent, you just don't realise because it's not the main thing...
*****
If you are not intrested in cars that is fine to me. But then again, just get you a 10 year old Ford Focus wagon and you will have a more then equal as good and roomy car, for less then 20% of the money ;)
p
Always buyers review from british review , ford brand is one of most unreliable and often gives problem like my fiesta....huhuhuhu
How are ford unreliable?
I have one of these, after 1 years motoring here's my thoughts, would I buy again? NO and I'll never buy another Ford again and here's why, but first some good points:
Good points - Load carrying capacity, durability, economy, drivability, seating position, overhead storage shelf and optional lockers.
Bad points - The way the van's software assumes you are a child, trying to wrap you in a health and safety blanket, VERY long waits (3-4 weeks) for Ford dealership in Sheffield to put issues right.
For instance, you put the van in reverse gear when it's raining, the rear wiper comes on all of its own, the radio partially mutes - WHY OH WHY? Wholly counter productive, unexpected movement in your visual field DEMANDS immediate attention, distracting you from navigating into a parking slot, potentially triggering an emergency stop and possibly causing a crash. If your capable of driving backwards while listening to a passenger say or a radio, perfectly within most peoples driving ability by partly muting the radio Ford are inviting the driver to concentrate on what's coming out of the speakers and thereby reducing the driver's remaining cognitive capacity for the action of reversing!!! Same outcome as the wiper issue, i.e. MORE likelihood of something going wrong. Another issue, on TWO separate occasions this van has tried to KILL me, the limp home mode abruptly cut power while I was avoiding accidents when i) a car driver pulled out of a side road and ii) a cyclist tried to get himself under my wheels. In both these instances I had to make very similar similar and rapid inputs to break and steering wheel then the power cut, luckily there wasn't any other traffic around or I could have been in a world of hurt. This limp home mode left me with a crippled van for the best part of a month while Ford dealer could fit me in their busy workshop. Very very bad position for a self employed person who relies on the vehicle to earn a crust.
Wiper issue... It must've been your first car. This feature was introduced over 20 years ago in most cars lol
What's with the ugly cars this year?
this car is horrendous monstrosity
Then you are missing the whole point of it and have never driven One.
Bit Ford bias
Worst looking car of 2014
Have you heard of something called the "Nissan Juke"?
BoschExxcel I quite like the Juke.
BoschExxcel Juke is old model
God it's ugly. Don't tell me it's supposed to be a family car.. It's at best a heavy duty material transport van. Dont put your children in this thing, they'll hate you!
Otherwise parent will happy, cheap car with good practicality, perfect for family car and for work. Who cares about what children said right?
My god! to buy a pile of junk like this, you really have given up on life.
I wouldn't buy anything like this. There are more elegant cars like the Mercedes Benz B Class and or the Peugeot 5008 and the British made Nissan Note.
+Shanjan Usman I have a 5008 and am thinking of getting one of these instead. the rearmost seats on the 5008 are far too small for anyone bigger than a small child. I need more room and frankly this car will do the job. I advise anyone not to buy the 5008 if you are looking for an MPV as it is too small to be used as a seven seater regularly. If you have lots of children to transpoprt, elegance is near the bottom of the shopping list. :)
I brought 7 seater auto to replace my mercedes E350cdi, all morden cars are so close in refinement and comfort now days there is no point spend much more money for so little difference.
Jason Mcpherson Seen The New 5008? It's elegant and looks so modern and also comes with a GT trim.
This Ford is brilliant to Drive and is way better than any other MPV on the market.
Volkswagen Caddy is much better than this.
