    I have been using my Lor machine for a while now and so far it’s brilliant. I cannot remember if I told you my Nespresso Pop machine had a hissy fit and broke down, I had been making a coffee and all of a sudden it started making a screaming sound and steam poured out of the jet! Good job I had moved away as I could have been hurt! Not a good year 2023 for me and Nespresso machines! It has gone back to the supplier as it was not even a year old. Thanks so much for the comparison of these machines as always so informative . Happy New Year 🎉

      No I don’t think you mentioned that, I’ll listen out for any strange noises coming from mine then 😅 Hope the Barista machine works out better for you this year ☕️🙂

    First of all happy new year and all the best for 2024. 🎉🎉
    As for the difference between the two espressos I would say the if the Philips is more acidic that would indicate over extraction as the more you extract from the pod the more acidic the coffee will get.
    I’m not saying the difference is massive or anything but it could be down to the Phillips extraction applying more pressure to the grounds or even a slightly higher temperature of the water during extraction.
    It would be interesting to see what the L’Or pods are like from both compared as you would expect L’Or to have these barista machines set to brew their pods at optimal.
    Have a great week
    Joff 👍☕️

    Thank you so much for the great videos. After watching couple of your videos I was able o narrowed down my choices to Essenza pixie and citiz. But in this video you have the inessia model so which would you recommend that produces best tasting coffee and espresso and easiest to use ?

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  Місяць тому

      Both of those machines are robust and should last a long time but I do find the Citiz easier to use simply because of the way the pod lever works on the Citiz vs the handle on the pixie. Sorry my reply is a bit delayed but hope this helps 😊 Just noticed you mentioned the Essenza mini too! It’s a good machine and very quiet but think I still prefer the Citiz myself as I like a slightly bigger machine and both of the Citiz’s I’ve had lasted a good length of time.

    I have been using breville creatista plus for a while now and just received a free lor sublime compact with a coffee pod purchase.., so far in my comparison i have noticed the lor sublime water temperature is alot hotter and the volume of risteretto or espresso shot is more ml them the creatista, even though the factory settings are 25ml ristretto and 40ml espresso.
    Over all The creatista seems to make a stronger smoother ristretto/espresso. But bang for buck i certainly would not complain about the sublime.

    awesome video. Was in London recently at the Nespresso store in Piccadilly Circus. Notice they were not selling the original machine anymore only the vertuoline. What are your thoughts on Nespresso changing their emphasis. Jeff

      Yeah I noticed the same at the Manchester boutique at the Trafford Centre Jeff. I suppose with them owning the patent on the Vertuo machines it makes sense for them to promote it. I just hope they don't stop making the Original pods as I still use my Creatista Pro day to day.

    I've owned at least 10 different Nespresso machines over the years, including L'OR Barista Sublime. Now I'm using a Nespresso Zenius machine and I'm at the peak both in terms of coffee taste and machine quality. I highly recommend you take a look at that machine if you get the opportunity!

      Yes that’s a machine I’d love to get hold of and try. They seem to have some good capsules too ☕️🙂 Think they’re called capsules… they look a little like pouches don’t they 😂 Thanks for sharing and great to hear your comments as always 👍🏼

    Can you tell me if kind of pods which are compatible in both? Are there more pods compatible with one of the two?

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  22 дні тому

      Hi 👋 No generally the pods that fit in the Inissia will also fit the L'or Barista Sublime. I say generally as I've not tried every single pod out there, but they are both designed to accept all Original style Nespresso pods. Neither will accept Vertuo capsules though.

    I started drinking coffee a few years ago. For Christmas last year, my mom got me a Nespresso Next. I am addicted to it. haha So much so that next month I was going to buy a Nespresso original. But I saw L'OR. They told me the Nespresso original will only use their expresso pods. So I do not know if I should get an original or the L'OR.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  6 місяців тому

      Hi 👋 The Nespresso Original machines will take compatible pods like L’Or Starbucks and others you see online or on supermarket shelves that are the correct shape. They won’t take Vertuo though as you know. Hope that helps.

    What would you recommend for someone who doesn’t drink coffee but wants the best machine for her salon? I’m after making creamy lattes and normal but good coffees and anything else that I need to learn what I’d like Mariano’s or whatever they are 😂, I don’t really understand these machines as they seem to be for espresso but can you do normal coffees? Or is normal coffee just espresso with milk? 😅 I want something that my clients are guna want more off but doesn’t take ages to do as il be quickly making them a coffee then getting on with their hair. Any advice on machines would be amazing, going to go through your videos on how to make each drink but I feel like I need a machine then just study how that is used, thank youuuu

      It’s a tough question but my gut reaction to what you’ve said is to check out our Nespresso Creatista playlist to see if that might work for you. We’ve had our Creatista Pro for about 3 years now I think and it hasn’t broken yet even though we use it a few times every day. The steam wand is quick to clean and the milk jug is also very quick to rinse out. Nespresso do have a professional range for businesses but I don’t think they have a steam wand and if you want to creamy latte and quick then for me the automatic steam wand on the creatista is a great option.

    Just by watching the vid, I can already see that the Nespresso is going to taste better.
    And not by the end result but by the pour, the most important thing in the making of coffee is the speed and pressure of the water flowing through.
    This was way slower and consisted in the Nespresso, meaning it is going to carry more of the taste. Also, when you look at the coffee pouring out
    Not in the cup but the flow coming straight out of the machine, you can already tell that the Nespresso is more rich and the L'or is more watery.
    Which is actually an easy fix for the L'or machine. The only thing they have to do is just make the pouring spouts a bit more narrow. So the pressure inside the cup builds up a bit more with makes the water take longer to come out and have more time to Cary the taste of the coffee. I just looked it up and the machine uses 19 bar of pressure. With is perfect.
    Now to be totally fair to the 2 machines you should do the same test with 2 L'or cups because every brand makes their machine to be the best for their own cups. And maybe there is just a slight difference in the cups that might. Have an influence.

    This is disappointing. I want to buy a L’or machine as a cheaper alternative to Nespresso OL, but not if the espresso tastes terrible.

      If you go to the site of L'or now, you can get a free machine just by buying the cups. For €65 so you have 150 cups of coffee and a free machine. Cant go wrong with that.
      At least where I live in EU. don't know if that same offer will be available where u live.
