Nice one Living Walks and a gorgeous harbor indeed! What a cool place to visit if you are a tourist and want to go somewhere on the unbeaten path; great insider information. I would love to check this place out if I ever make it back to the area anytime soon. Cheers from NYC and keep up the amazing work as you always do!
Well hello there Mood Stream. A world away form NYC eh? Glad you liked it. It'd be great to do a colab' sometime? we love your NY footage. All the best to you.
@@LivingWalks a huge world away from NYC!! I would love to do a collab sometime!! Let me know what your thinking and how we would exchange the footage etc?
So glad you enjoyed the natural sound, it's our hope that the feeling of just being there can be felt. Thanks for dropping by. I do have a few more in Cornwall if you fancy another virtual meander sometime.
I was having a pint or two in the London Inn with my dad...who lived in Padstow...on the night that the Fastnet yacht disaster happened...a couple of the lifeboat crew were also there having a pint...when the maroons went off..those lifeboat men were out of the pub like lightening heading towards the lifeboat station....brave men !!!!!!! and if you google ...Fastnet Yacht Race disaster...you can read the rest of the story..
Hi there Roger, that lifeboat crew were brave men indeed and how nice that you've remembered them here. Thank you for taking the time to talk about them. All the best to you.
Join us for our Padstow Cornwall UK Tour - filmed in July 2021. This gorgeous harbour town has a lovely busy atmosphere, and you can find many nice restaurants and cafes here. It's on the same part of the Cornish coast as Port Isaac, Newquay and Tintagel. Our Padstow tour takes the harbour with it's brightly coloured fishing boats and busy eateries. We'll then explore the winding streets of the charming town, with their welcoming pubs, shops and Cornish pasty shops, before heading back to the harbour for a wide look out to sea.
I’m single myself but it does get very lonely when your at busy places, & you see couples. I go to quite a few events & places. If I go alone it’s not nice. Visited Weston’s sea shanty festival last year……. Ended up coming away early. Coz their was so many people in pairs & couples. I felt so sad & lonely.
Thank you Emirhan, good of you to drop by and let us know you're enjoying the channel. I guess we're not so good at promoting the channel but we do enjoy sharing and connecting, so that makes it worthwhile for sure.
I love it there. I went in Rick Steins's place, saw the price list and went to "Chip Ahoy" instead. Walked back to Rick's , sat and ate enjoying the view.
Your videos are so perfect. Just like being there. I love the cat in your intro. Hey... I would love to have a treat and a cup of coffee at the Cornish Bakery. You are so fortunate to live a in a wonderful and beautiful country.
Hello there HD, always a pleasure to hear from you. Thank you for your support and interest in the channel, it's much appreciated and makes it worthwhile to connect with people such as yourself. All the best to you.
Hi LW, Thank you for all the work that's gone into all your Videos on Cornwall. I now have quite an overview and it'll be really helpful in where I decide to go next summer. Where are you off to next?
Hi, L.W. !! Thanks for this delightful walk in beautiful Padstow town and harbour 👍. A rich history and interesting cultural traditions. Obviously quite busy in high season, but plenty of outdoor activities and interests. Thanks again, cheers, Don 👋
Good morning Don, yes it sure was busy, more so than the other Cornish towns for some reason. We did enjoy a rather nice cornish pasty and a local ice cream, so we're quite relaxed just eating and people watching. Hope all's well with you? We're going to Madeira in a few days, so hope to chat more from there.
@@LivingWalks Great ! I look forward to seeing new Madeira adventures, have fun 👍. We are not ready to go international ; so we had one night away in lovely exotic Girvan in the Firth of Clyde !! 🤩. Cheers, Don 👋
Thankyou for this wonderful journey ! I am trying to find the Seaman’s Mission down by the harbour, my Father built it many years ago, and now I think it is a Museum….every generation of our family have had photos taken in the steps outside it . Please if anybody remembers it could they tell me as I am interested to find out if it is still standing. Thank you.❤️🇬🇧
Hi there Audrey, Thank you for dropping by. I hope you manage to find the Seaman’s Mission by the harbour, how interesting to hear that your Father built it and now It might be a Museum. I hope someone here might be able to help you. All the best with your search.
@@LivingWalksThank you for this link… ! At last you have found my Father’s building ! I am so grateful and now my family has helped me to find out its use in 2024 ! I am amazed and almost moved to tears…… I am hoping to try and visit and be able to see it in real life ! I can’t thank you enough . I will try and let you know…..X ❤️🇬🇧
Hello Audrey, ah it's made our day to receive your lovely message. I'm very happy that we could help you find your fathers building at last. Do keep us posted won't you. xx
Though still a physically pretty place the charm I remember from years ago has disappeared into a plastic replica of tourism. It may still have remnants of it's old self either in the off season or just on the cusp of high season. I think I would be very disappointed should I ever have the chance to return.
Interesting to hear that Mark. Perhaps it’s gone the way of so many pretty towns, their prettiness can be their downfall. We only visited for the day and we rather enjoyed it, but I can imagine it would have been very special at that time you speak of. Thanks for dropping by with your point of view.
@@LivingWalks I felt somewhat regretful after I posted. Unfortunately I forgot that each person sees things from a particular point of time and events. What one person sees at any given time is what they hold on to and to adapt to changing situations and environments is what makes life so enjoyable. I will have to remember to tell myself that it is not only the place that has changed, but I have as well. Thankyou for giving me the chance to reflect and grow.
I have a Question. With all those DOGS 🐩🐕🦮🐕🦺🐕, & I saw one🐈, what is done about all their POO? There were few green spaces so it would surely be a problem of major proportions. I cannot understand why the Council allows all those dogs to accompany the visitors and locals. There must be other issues like dogs fighting, pulling owners over who can't control them etc. etc. The mind boggles! Nice tour thank you. Also liked seeing the sensible people with 😷😷😷on. Keep walking & videoing. 🥰🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Hi Linda, a there are a lot of dog poo waste bins and people carry poo bags, so it's not generally a problem! We do seem to be a nation of dog lovers, so rest assured I think all is well. Pleased you're enjoying the walks.

Padstow is hardly the "unbeaten path". Even the video shows that.
