    Your videos are so wonderful. My family loves them because we will probably never travel to Europe.
    Funny, we have one of the best Ice Cream shops in Sandpoint, Idaho USA. The locals make fun of the tourist walking around downtown eating ice cream. The line is always out the door. I noticed that Post Isaac has an ice cream shop.
    Take care and think you for your wonderful videos. I think I will do a clip on our Ice Cream shop for fun.

      I imagine making your ice cream is a family secret! Maybe not so good in the winter season! Maybe lots of eggs & cream will do the trick! As a child, we had an ice cream maker. Mmmm!

      I grew up in Europe and at 9 years old came to United States. Yes, from my childhood I have beautiful memories of various European counties we visited. Nevertheless, I love America because of its size and ethnic diversity. I’m still nowhere near visiting all the states. Thank you for these walks Europe is just as amazing and beautiful!!

    In my mid teens I stayed in one of the little cottages approx behind where you start your walk, with my first proper boyfriend. I can't remember how we ended up there, if we started out with his parents or what. It was a long time ago now. But we had a few days on our own which was amazing. It wasn't quite so touristy then.

      How nice to have stayed in one of those little cottages with your first boyfriend. I'd imagine you have some pretty strong memories of that time, I hope this helped to bring it all back to you?

    • @medwayhospitalprotest
      @medwayhospitalprotest Рік тому +1

      @@LivingWalks yes it did! The cottage had a very small, old-fashioned kitchen. Neither of us could really cook so it was a case of warming things up that we bought at the local shops. I remember my boyfriend buying a jar of Heinz "Sandwich Filler" which was something we didn't ever have at our house. Of course I also remember the romantic side of it. Two teenagers alone in a lovely cottage, doing what is natural I guess. 😁 The other thing I remember is a car getting stuck in the bay when the tide came in. I imagine that happens quite regularly. 😂

We use the little DJI pocket 2 and nothing is hidden, but I think as we're not pointing or focusing on anyone in particular people just don't seem to notice much or mind, as they realise we're just filming the whole area generally. On the TV show it is hard to believe Port Wenn is in England. Not a cloud in the sky for most scenes, unlike scenes in this video. That's more like it. Some shots even include palm trees which can't possible grow in England. Or maybe they do.

    Port Issac is just down the road from me when you went up church hill Ive come through there in 3 different Land Rovers and they only just fit! I knocked a mirror and scraped a wheel....I could be a bad driver but 3 of the Land Rovers Ive owned have all been damaged by Port Isaac, lol I've also had a local lad take offence at me when I stayed at the Boathouse over the shop flat, we booked a week there before we moved down here but Ive been coming down here for 20yrs, I walked into the Golden Lion and stuck a 3g wifi dongle at the window and perched on the end of the bar with a tablet and a weird fish fisherman jumper (big mistake) so I looked like a fake local, the next guy came in with his wife and said 'A Pint of your finest local ale land lady please" and then said "we are looking to go to RHS Rosemore do you know where that is?" The girly behind the bar went white like she had never been out the village "its my first day" I just said "get on the a39 to barnstable/bideford turn right at the roundabout marked Atlantic.........I had a "Thank you fine sir" and carried on my work stuff OMG can you wind a local up by that! so 2 hours later I stood on the balcony at the boathouse and I get local boy blooted from the pub decides to assume Im the out of town owner of the building so verbals me for buying up all the houses in "his" village, I offer to drop a tinny down to him but he has got it in his head I'm a twat ,now as far I'm aware I don't own the Boathouse flat a fisherman friend does and you would think a local would know. Now I understand I paid a fisherman friend more than the lad pays his rent a month for one week of stay there and I put about another 1500 quid myself into villages economy on food and trinkets. this is not a negative story of port Isaac, Im just saying. great video Thank you
