- Blood & Oil is a short film I have wanted to shoot for some time. It speaks to all avenues of passionate endeavors and the common thread of desire, determination and relentless pursuit it takes to see them through. That feeling that wakes you in the dead of night, the call to action that courses through your veins. It doesn't matter what you do or what your passion is, there is always room to be challenged, to grow, advance and to be more inspired.
With that heart and intention, Blood & Oil is about wanting to create, be more awake and to be more alive. I have been lucky enough to both work and play with truly ambitious and talented people that push me more everyday, to those people I say a very special thank you.
And I thank you for watching and to those who share this film. It was a very ambitious shooting schedule, we shot 16+ set ups in 9 locations in 3 days, not including the pick up/spontaneous shoot days. A behind the scenes blog is being posted on my website, with extra photos and extra footage!
The last of the embers cool in the waking dawn
as the silence echoes through the empty roads
and the beat of heavy hearts stir the morning air
The wasteland smiles, a grin tired and stretched too thin
Built on rotting soil the city starts to crack, the foundations perish and crumble

The undeserving cling to chances untaken

I have been watching this video regularly for three years. It gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. I cannot find quality content as much as this video. I have even been thinking of getting a "Blood & Oil" tattoo for a very long time. Thank you for providing such content. "A force understood only by those who possess it"
For me one of the best short films ever. Simple. Everything is perfect. Images, music, lyrics, a guy who reads them. As many here I come back here to watch this again and again.

Watched this on 31st august at 3 am - right before starting a ride for the dunkerque - dover ferry to visit South England and the ACE Cafe London.....can`t describe my feelings, but I´m sure real Bikers know about ;-)
Jesus!!! How did I only now found this gem?! I'll ride till my final hours!!! Even alone, with all my brother riders out in the world!!! Brilliant!!! The fire... I can't explain the fire in my heart when I ride, and even now just thinking about riding! There are no bad memories in riding!!! Even when I meet the ground, it is a part of riding! It has been said that it takes four wheels to move the body; however, only two wheels to move the soul. As a passionate Triumph owner I was glued to the screen; just as Rob Morehouse stated, I too had chills at the end...GREAT WORK!!

An absolute beauty of a film , I identify myself with , I only wish I started riding at an earlier time in my life , and stuck with it . I have been building , riding , and loving this life for 25 solid years now . In my mid 50's , I know this will be my life style , till I die . Ride to live , live to ride . I like his words , they already share your fire , says it all . Chase it down .
