I think in the wide body shape from the Turbo /4S, the 996 becomes a truly good looking car. and the 4S with its rear light is one of the best looking back ends of all the 911 generations. It is the one 911 that broke with 2 traditions, the iconic look of the circular headlights and the first water-cooling system.
as a result the 996 generation was the most unloved for a long time.
but now it's starting to gain in popularity and the prices are rising.
the 996 Carrera 4s might still be one of the best deals on the Porsche market right now with prizes as low as 30k. But the prices are on the rise and I believe the 996, especially the Turbo and the Carrera 4S are future classics.

The head of Porsche Classic in Luxembourg told me that the factory controled valve sportexhaust from a 996 C4S is by far the « loudest » sound a 911 has ever had and will ever have. This is due to new restrictions etc.
It does sound absolutely amazing from what I've experienced with this drive. very raw and authentic sound.
And this is not the sport exhaust right? The single terminals should be from the “stock” exhaust
My 991 PSE is also loud as fuck. Frequently prompts shocked faces from drivers of newer cars, whose exhausts you can barely hear on track.
@@vannitagliaventothat’s my understanding too, the PSE has the interlocked rings type tailpipes.
@@gazman111r as I’m looking to buy a c4s 996 with PSE, I found some with PSE and both tailpipes style, so maybe is it just aesthetics? Optional?

NFS-5 Porsche, Schwarzwald in a 911. One of my favourite childhood memories... Later in life when I got to drive a real one, I was grinning like a kid for hours due to the excitement. Amazing! The sound is just something else. Surely its an upgraded exhaust or is that how it sounds with an oem exhaust setup?
@@masterrk7 thank you, that is the oem Valve controlled sports exhaust, additionally the car has a GT3 throttle body, but other than that its stock 👌

Oooh yes! The shot when you arrive to the forrest is just beautiful. I have the same specs 996 4S, same condition, but with 90k km instead of 190k :D How come this one is in such a good condition with an extra 100k?!
Thank you 😊 the 996 4S is beautiful and only 90.000km is insanely low mileage… I would even daily a 996 4S… the one in the Video is from a good Friend. He takes very good care of the car and it really looks more like 50.000km than 190.000km

Love the 996 C4S and did consider this model along with the 996 Turbo and 997.2. In the end went for the 997.2 but will definitely say the 996 exhaust does sound better than that off the 997.2 C2S.
Great car the 997.2 I looked for them aswell before I bought my 981 gts.
And the 996 C4S is really one of the loudest regular 911‘s I have heared so far. If you dont go to a GT3/RS the 996 4S might be the loudest one.

Richtig geiles Video in mega Qualität! Wie langes hast du deinen 4s denn schon? Bei dem gepflegten Innenraum kann man den Kilometerstand kaum glauben oder habe ich das im Video falsch gesehen und es sind nur 19 Tausend?
@@Supernikl Vielen Dank ☺️ das Auto gehört einem guten Freund von mir. Er hat tatsächlich 190.000km. Er hat da echt ein Händchen fürs aufbereiten von Autos. Der 996 hat alle Lager, das Fahrwerk, die Abgasanlage etc. Alles erneuert bekommen und im
Interior wurde er komplett von ihm Aufbereitet, mit Lederpflege etc. Und es kam noch das Retro PCM rein und dazu noch eine Neue Verkleidung neben der Mittelkonsole ohne die Alte Handyhalterung.
Sieht schon sehr schick aus muss ich sagen.

Thanks, the car belongs to a friend of mine, so I dont know everything that has been done to the car. But what I know is that the C4S has a Metzger engine wich is way mire reliable than the rest of the 996‘s

Hast du das Relais für die Klappe entfernt oder den Pin umgebogen? Eigentlich müsste die Anlage ja zwischen 50 und 70 zu gehen oder? 😏
Also Laut dem Besitzer ist die AGA Serie. Der hat ab Werk die Klappenabgasanlage und die wurde wohl schonmal erneuert, dazu ist noch die Drosselklappe vom GT3 verbaut.

Dji mic 2, eins im Innenraum (+6 DB) eins an der Heckstoßstange mittig (-12 DB)

The front end is different to all other 911's and is a matter of taste. However I think the rear is one of the best looking ones of all the 911 gen's 🙃
