I actually have HumanGen and CC4. I am using HumanGen on a team project and CC4 on a personal one. I wanted to give a completely hobbist comparison. HumanGen is less expensive, built specifically for Blender, and has a few more sliders that are (and should be) in the base product. That said, I prefer CC4. I did get the pluggins (Headshot and Accuface), with these CC4 is more robust and really speeds up the character creation and animation process. The import and export with Blender is preety easys as well. I demonstrated this to the team I work with. One person built created an ALIEN using Human Gen, built custom clothing for the character, created a walk cycle, but could not create lipsync because he didn't have an iphone. It took him about a week. I asked how many actual hours and he GUESSED about 30. I did the same thing (in CC4), but added lipsync. I also documented the process while doing it and it took me 2 hours and 13 minutes. Again, this was with an Alien, so added to the CC4 geometry and was still able to use NEW lipsync data from CC4. Finally, HumanGen does some funky stuff to the Outliner and creates a lot of extra items that (personally) feels like a waste. Also, I don't know if it's because of my lack of experience, but it took me about 1 minute in CC4 compared to 38 minutes in Blender's Evee to render the same scene. HumanGen is decent, but I definitely like CC4 better.
Wow. Thank you for taking the time to write that. I have also bought CC4 and mostly agree, but I still find myself using HumGen a lot cuz it’s right there. It took me a while to figure out how to get all the clothing and other accessories set up in CC4 but they’re definitely better. I should use it more. Thanks again. Probably not many who’ve used both as much as you.
Except for the clothing option, it is solid. Unlike Character Creator 4, it acutally comes with the ability to age your character without buying additional packs. That is one of my major dissapoint with CC4. Aging your character should be basic stuff, not something else you have to pay for.
Can you modify any aspect of these models, or just choose between the options given? For instance, if I wanted more muscles than the muscle slider allows for, can I add more myself? Or make my own hair styles to add to these models? Or add more fingers, or take them away? And so on.
I really like this addon but like you i think i think there needs to be more clothing options, at least socks! I haven’t found any additional clothing packs anywhere.
MH is a headache to get working in other software if you wanna animate or do any modifications, it requires convoluted workarounds if you wanna do anything that epic games didn't intend you to do, lol. That being said, the quality of MH is a lot better than HG or CC4.
@@xanzuls MH is the fastest tool for creating AA+ human faces, bodies, skeleton, weights and rig, but if u want muscular and hypertrofied bodies u may be struggle with it. You have to learn extracr FBX files and import it into tools like 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush or Maya, u may use these combination for getting a AAA+ result instead of AA+. I havent seen anything better yet, remember u will have your owns library space in the cloud as well, so your characters or bases wont dissappear. I think EPIC Games giving people a fire, an unstopable fire.
Never liked human generator, all of the humans looks kind of the same and you could tell when it's humangen, also never really looked photoreal, this still an amazing option for being a blender addon

Just bought, and it worked on my mac...yey! So many concepts now are closer to being expressed using these.
Awesome! I really think it’s a good plugin but yeah more clothes would make it better.

This is amazing
It’s pretty cool!
Sorry for dumb question, but this would work with Godot correct?

Agreed 💯
can i make the human generator with auto rig pro face rigging?
MH is completely free AA+ generator, but u have to use UE5.
Good to know. Thank yo8u!

I wish I had money for it
No dirty bits?
They are not anatomically correct below the belt.
the skin is still far cry compared to CC4.
