    I understand why it worked. The sizing of the character model is the issue for bone mapping/retargetting . Meaning the retargetting of bones seems to have issues with different size meshes to bone dimensions. So since you moved his mesh to Mixamo then exported their rig to Blender with bones mapped for his actual body type/size. Rokoko remapped it perfectly. Great job 👍🏽 I was just trying to figure out why this was failing for me via Mixamo to Blender for the Human Generator add-on. Glad someone figured out the issue. You just solved my MetaHuman model issues with Mixamo as well. Thanks bro subbed for sure!

    Great tutorial. At first I saw how the Rokoko suite was super expensive. I didnt realize they had a FREE plugin! Super awesome. Thank you.

    The lagging is because of the subd modifier on the human mesh and clothes from the human generator. I had similar issues. Bevel, mirror, subd a bunch of other modifiers get into a loop of auto updating the mesh for every frame. I turn them all off for the previewing the viewport animation. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the work! But I keep up ending (after retargeting) with a character which has it's arms twisted behind the back. The bone list is correct tho. Strange.

      Hi, to fix it you have to export your mixamo animation "With skin" and as "FBX7.4".

      Hi, to fix this issue you have to export your .fbx with the "With skin" option.

    If you have iclone 8 could you do the same, it seems like it is harder with Iclone to blender animation.

    Are you saying you loaded the HG model into Mixamo and exported it as a Mixamo model? Then you utilized the HG model which now has the Mixamo rig and retargeted the animation into the original Hg model rig? Because the characters are of the same size, then the rigs aligned the same during the retargeting process? Is this the workflow?

    ohhhhh nice one!! I've tried everything all yesterday and I couldn't get mixamo to accept my model, no other tutorials mention to use just the original skin separately (Im new to character animation).... Thanks a lot! If this helps anyone, if you save your character in the HG interface, then add it again next to your original and then delete the clothes, it will give you the base skin as your HG model is without the boobs! Minor thing but maybe better....

    Very very interesting. I just got human generator and have spent hours trying to figure out how to use its rigify with mixamo but this technique looks sooooo much faster! Thanks for the hook up mmmmah boy

    Genious solution. However, despite everything being great in viewport and render preview, when i go to render, the body object, hands feet and head, disappears, as if hidden from render. Have tried everything i could think of, with no solution. Any ideas anyone?

    Very nice and easy-to-follow tutorial. Unfortunately for me, my arms always come out twisted once I retarget the animation. The arms are always the only thing to be messed up. I tried different Mixamo animations, tried syncing with an fbx both with and without skin...but the result is always the same.

      Sorry to hear about this, thats what happened to mine before this method, if you try and make sure all the bones are paired to the correct one in the rokoko plugin

      @@lukeyanimates5308 Yes, I double checked each bone to make sure they were matched properly...seemed like they were all good. I'll go through your tutorial again to make sure I didn't miss anything. It may be some error on my part, but I'm 90% there right now.

      @@SudevNadar I have not. Tbh, I haven't been on Blender a lot since initially giving this a try. Have you had success with Auto Rig Pro?

      @@jamalsutter Yeah. But needs a lot of manual tweeking. And it's easy. We can even re-rig the model

    Resizing issue has a simple solution, while importing just change scale to 100 in size option. Everything will be fine. Human gen is a good addon but the only reason I don't like is it's poor muscle customisation. It can't even resize abs. It has option to increase muscle which is very poor ,u just look big with no 3d details in muscles. So it's only good for clothed human or lean human. But I will agree it's texture materials are of high quality

    blender 3.6, I bought the auto rig pro, but it didn't work, only this rokoko works.

    Hi there, I'm not sure why but if I retarget my main character to the imported walking fbx character, they both walk but only walk in place..
    When I import the animated walking character, the position of the character moves but as soon as I retarget the position keyframes seem to not exist.. Please help

      No worries... but i do not use BVH motion but possibly if you import it in the same way and use the plugin hopefully it will work if not im not sure what i could suggest :)

    Couldn't you just use Auto Rig pro ?
