Anyone unaware as to why light metal is useless on Metagross is that the ability halves its weight, which would be good to make moves like low kick and grass knot do less damage to it. The problem is that half of Metagross' weight still takes maximum damage from those moves
Also clear body is just a much better in general
@@marshallwAI facto
Replace it with levitate and you got something viable.
Tbf with float stone it does become useful but that's the only condition
@@JacrepidYT that'd be wasting the item slot though
Hydreigon evolves at 64. “Ghidorah the three headed monster” was released in 1964.
It amazes me that no one points this out. It’s the whole reason for his crazy level requirement.
Oh damn. Thats cool. I guess we wont be getting any pokemon evolution that references a year after 1965 to 1999 anymore though.
I never knew that
If they made a mothra, rodan, or even anguirus as a pokemon, then they would evolve in their responding years
By first to appear, to last: 1955 ( level 55 ), 1956 ( level 56 ), and 1961 ( level 61 )
Destoroyah Pokémon evolves at level 95😱
Huh
Cool Fact About Hydreigon: [Exists]
This Guy: Their special fact is that I dont like them. UwU
Hydreigon's fact just being that it's forgettable to you 💀 that's the best one right there lad
Thank you!
Dude was so strong they had to introduce a whole 'nother type
Yeah, I don't find Hydreigon forgettable at all
It's just that haxorous was more iconic
No it’s just the most forgettable I completely forgot about it for like 3 years and then in scarlet and violet I used it in battle and was like how the hell do you forgor this Pokémon
Hydreigon is one of my favourite Pokémon💀
Some more facts:
- Dragonite and Tyranitar are the only non-Paradox Pokémon to have any base stat at 134. The remaining one is Tyranitar's future paradox form Iron Thorns.
- Despite Salamence's entries that mention its acrobatic flying and Roaring Moon learning it, it is so far unable to learn the move Acrobatics.
- Metagross has the lowest catch rate out of not just the pseudo legends but of any Pokemon, on par with many big name Legendaries.
- Garchomp has better defensive stats than Swampert.
- Hydreigon has the best lowest base stat out of all the pseudo legends with its 90 defenses.
- Goodra is the only monotype pseduo legend.
- Hisuian-Goodra has the lowest stat out of any fully evolved pseudo with its base 60 Speed.
- Kommo-O is the first pseudo legendary with a signature move.
- Dragapult is the first pseudo to share an ability, Clear Body, with an unrelated pseudo.
- Baxcalibur is the first pseudo legendary to have a higher Attack stat than the Gen 3 duo.
These facts are way better than “you see that skeleton that looks like dragonite? It’s dragonite”
wait i forgot, didnt meteor mash was metagross signature back then? or was it not
oh nvm, clefairy also can do it back then
Here's another fact
Whereas every other pseudo is often used by a E4 member if not the champion (or in Kommo-o's case the last totem in gen 7)
-Tyranitar is the only to be used by neither of those in Kanto
-Hydreigon still to this day is the only used by the evil team leader being Gethis
What about meteor smash from metagross?
Thats the moves name right?
Bro called Hydreigon forgettable 💀💀💀
Hydreigon will lurk within his dream after he stumbled upon Ghetsis.
Kommo'o and Goodra:
The sign of someone who didn't play gen 5 much - that thing was a menace in all the Ghetsis fights and online battles, and it was so strong that they retroactively introduced the fairy type onto half the pokedex just to nerf it into the ground.
I think He's saying it a forgetable pseudo legendary
@@mr.robukman509 it isn't tho
Heidreigon evolves at level 64 cause 1964 was the year king ghidorah was created.
thank you, i now resent king ghidorah for making me wait 3/4 of the game for my favorite pokemon
Just wait until the next pseudo based after the first Pokémon games
@@pemanilnoobbros gonna evolve at level 95
@@priyankapandey3628 yup that was what I was referencing
Always remember, Hydreigon was so overpowered that they had to introduce a whole new type to nerf him
They introduced the fairy type to nerf the dragon type in general, tf you mean??
They introduced fairy to nerf dark and dragons types
Hydreigon is both
@@d0r4gon70 okay, but that doesn't mean an entire type was introduced to nerf Hydreigon. It's purely coincidental.
not really? It was decent but not game breaking in OU singles. Its specs draco meteor was a terror, but its relatively low speed made it often unreliable, as it also isn’t the bulkiest of mons, with a terrible weakness to fighting in a generation with some excessively powerful, common fighting types.
It wasn't close to the most problematic dragon type. Latios, salamence, dragonite, garchomp (and kyurem black 💀) were the most threatening dragon types during gen 5 singles. Hydreigon was a threat but saying that fairies were added because of it is delusional
How is Hydreigon forgettable??? Who let this man cook💀
Dont tell Hydreigon
So many people still think haxorus is the pseudo, instead of hydreigon. I did, too, for a long time.
It’s wayyy more memorable than either goodra or komo’o

Hisuian Goodra’s signature move used to raise evasion too and I am sad they took it away from my boi 😢

I was honestly hoping for Shelter to have been a reskinned cosmic power when it hit main series, but alas
@@gypsysprite4824 yeah I agree
I feel like the best thing they could have done to preserve it without making it broken would be to give it a small chance to nullify an attack in addition to the defense buff. Something like a 20% chance to double as Protect would be more than good enough I think.
@@CaptainObliviousVor just have it as Protect that raises defense when you're attacked like Spiky Shield or something
What if it worked like protect, but if you get hit during the protect, it gave you a defense and special defense boost, like cosmic power.
Another fun fact about dragapult is that the dreepy enjoy being shot out of its cannons. One of the few/only wholesome dex entries about ghost pokemon.
Lol dreepy go “wheeeee!”
Alolan Golem shots Geodude out of its cannon

Thank god the first godzilla movie didnt release in 1999
POV a Pokemon was based by Zilla in the future 🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Imagine needing to evolve it to level 99(if it) just to be a bad Pokemon
Goodra’s stats being double Goomy’s is interesting because it takes two stages to double the stats when Makuhita’s stats double when it evolves only once into Hariyama
That's an interesting fact
yeah but goodra being a pseudo-legendary has 600 bst, and hariyama has 474
@@ArielGoV That also means it takes just one stage for Makuhita to gain 237 points but it takes Goomy two stages to gain 300. And if Goomy gained 237 in its first stage, the second stage would only add an additional 63 points
Hydreigon has literally the most cool design
True, but like… idk, it kinda feels hollow, like it not having pupils makes it less relatable in a weird way I guess.
Like; dragonite is both friend shaped and can also kick your Bullys ass, garchomp is badass but it also has emotable eyes. Hydreigon kinda just feels like a generic bad guy the power rangers would fight. All the right ingredients but it’s missing the personality
It needs a full tail and feet not half of those
Disagree garchomp and dragapult have better designs
@@TheCookie13 L. Dnite and Metagross have the best designs.

I can never forget Hydreigon Because it's my favorite pseudo
“Mashold mega Khangaskan and Dragapult use their children as weapons” how true
The ACTUAL fun fact about Hydreigon: it has the absolute highest level requirement for evolution, needing to be level 64 to reach its full stage. All that and still forgettable, smh.
"still forgettable", ah yes, the casual fan speaking like Hydreigon wasn't good in competitive.
@pleasedont7439 I realised my mistake just an hour after the post 🥲
Being good in competitive doesn’t mean it’s not still forgettable lol
@@MerkhVision uhm what's the definition of unforgettable??
I just checked and turns out, Mega Tyranitaur's back doesnt _break,_ it _SPLITS OPEN!_ which is a tad more intense
DON'T TALK TO MY KOMMO-O LIKE THAT
Fun fact: Godzilla turns 69 on Friday
Actually 70
Salamence is always pissed cause the ice cream machine at McDonald's is always broken
When I was working at McDonald's, I talked to Ronald McDonald about it. He gave me a couple of coupons for free mcflurry's... Which were completely useless because the ice machine was down all the time. That, and I worked there, so I would be able to get free ice cream regardless.
The damned clown played me.
@@cooliusmaximus5802 Ronald mc Donald is a cheap boy
then it should be happy because salamence is 4x weak to ice cream
Well A. Golem also flings Geodudes at targets
It show be stated for Hisuian Goodra that it signature is like that in the mainline games. In Arceus its really good.
fun fact about dragonite, if you look closely in its name, you will see the word dragon, which is a reference to the fact that it is a dragon type
Brilliant observation 🧐🔎
Kommo-o wasn't bad, it's just that the fairy types in its generation were destroying it.
"It's said that Hydreigon grew ferocious because people in times long past loathed it, considering it to be evil incarnate and attacking it relentlessly."
I guess i know where the hate come from and i'm hated even more :(
Don’t worry, you’re my favirote pseudo legendary and possibly in my 5 favirote Pokemon 😁
Im an Iron Jugulis btw ( Jugulis is hated for being a Lazy Design Hydreigon )
@@AI-DreigonGPT ah if your shiny was better I would like it more (still my 2nd fav future paradox Mon tho)
So that new pseudo legendary one was Godzilla I KNEW IT 😂
Mega evolving is just to wild to be in any game. In the games you’re supposed to be friends with Pokémon NOT HURT THEM
Edit: y’all slow, I meant not cause them pain from non battles, the thing about battles are you are working with Pokémon to have fun 2nd a lot of Pokémon in joy battling so. Also breaking a jaw of a Pokémon so it will be stronger is hurting them. Battling is different because you can use a potion or revive them so it doesn’t cause them that much pain
Don’t care give me my overgrown tyranitar
Mega evolution was originally supposed to only happen when you and your pokemon have a great enough bond to push your pokemon past its limits. Then gen 7 came around and they completely flipped that idea on its head as propaganda to get rid of mega evolution when swsh came around.
@@nightmarishtaco3434 massive bullshit tbh
@@pugboi. originally it was supposed to show the bond between you and your pokemon in gen 6.
But in gen 7 they dont mention that at all and then added dex entries for the megas that say theyre either brainwashed, in immense pain or danger, or are ruthless killers. (Tyranitar, Houndoom, Glalie, Metagross, Salmence, Kangaskhan, Aerodacytal, Gyarados, etc;)
They did this so we wouldnt want them to bring mega evos back.
@@pugboi. no, another one is galie getting its jaw broken
The reason light metal is useless is because it halves the pokémons weight, but just halfing metagross' weight mean it still takes maximum damage from low kick and grass knot
Literally no one forgets Hydreigon 😂
I do
It exists?
@@BlameSnowy apparently
the Godzilla fact is beautiful, Arctibax just became a kaiju when it got old enough to be Godzilla =)
Hisuian Goodra was actually nerfed so that Shelter is now worse than Acid Armor
Indeed, the only reason it’s not as good in gen 9 is its lower pp but is legends arceus it also raised evasiveness by 1 stage which would have been completely broken, max out its special defence ivs and evs and have it use shelter twice, give it leftovers and you have a nigh unkillable Pokémon
That Godzilla reference is why I love baxcalibur 👍👍👍
I am so happy that godzilla didn't release in 1977
I always felt like Salamance, Bax & Goodra were way more forgettable than Hydreigon
How is salamance more forgettable then hydreigon
@@Taking.down.the.sweatsif someone doesn't remember that there are 2 in hoenn people will think of Metagross as the gen 3 one as it's more fitting of the total compared to salamence (plus pseudo legends are fan made terms so it's very likely that salamence wasn't intended to be in the same group as Dragonite, tyranitar, and Metagross)
"Hydreigon is the most forgettable Pseudo"
My brother in christ, it's still the pokémon that evolves at the highest level any pokémon can evolve at. Not only that, but it's based on the HYDRA. Also it's on Ghetsis' team TWICE.
Who let him cook?
If any Pseudo is forgettable, it's Goodra.
According to a person on this comment section It evolves at such a high level (64) because it was the year 1964 in which "Ghidorah the three headed monster" first aired. And I think that's pretty cool.
@William256 nah, metagross is more forgettable. He's from the same gen as salamance and is the only none dragon pseudo so people forget he's technically apart of the group.
@@c4onmylipMetagross is awesome tho!
@SonicChao113 yeah, I like metagross but he doesn't fit the theme that all the other psuedos have, plus he's the second one from the only gen that had more tham one. Also my bad, tyranitar isn't a dragon type either, he just looks like he should be a dragon.
Another fact:
Metagross and Kommo-o have the lowest evolution levels for their final forms, being 45. Garchomp is a close second at 48
Embarrassingly, when i attempted a sudo-only playthrough of pokemon Violet (so hydreigon wasn’t available), i thought i had successfully put all 6 sudo-legendaries on my team, until about half way through the game when I remembered dragonite existed like how 😭

Sorry, but it is more forgettable than Goodra. Casuals make up a large portion of pokemon fans, and they all know about Goodra from the XY anime. Hydreigon didn't appear all that much in BW, and even when it did it didn't really matter since it was one of the worst seasons for the anime.

Hydregion has Levitate… Terra Electric Hygredion makes a Pseudo Legendary with No exploitable weakness, Tera Blast being it’s only Electric Coverage move but it could be worse 😈
the reason hydreigon is forgettable is because a lot of people think haxorus is the pseudo legendary.
It's so mad to me just how many signature moves have either been totally outclassed, made non-sig moves, or just had better counterparts at the time of their introduction.
At least a little over half of these were actual facts.

hydreigon isn't forgettable. what's forgettable is the fact that haxorus isn't a pseudo.
I often forgot that Volcarona isn't a pseudo due to how insanely op it is
The Godzilla reference is super cool !
As a hydreigon fan that fact was cold man
"Hydreigon is the pseudo everyone forgets"

Him calling my BOI Hydreigon forgettable...
man f**k you bro...
I forget about goodra (and yes, hisuian too) being a pseudo WAY more than I forget about lumineon’s existence.
team plasma stole the dragonite skull because non gen 5 pokemon were much rarer at the time(Bianca and proffesor Juniper mention that the distributions changed in the two years between bw and b2w2) and most people probably didn't know what a dragonite was. leading them to think that the dragon skeleton had something to do with the legendary dragons
The thumbnail is a Garchomp with Sharpedo's head, how beautiful!
Heres another that Tyranitar and Metagross share. THEY'RE THE ONLY TWO NON GODDAMNED DRAGONS.
Gamefreak for the love of god stop making dragons the only pseudo legendaries please!
Saying Shelter is outclassed by Acid Armor is unfair since in PLA it also obscures Goodra, making it's evasiveness higher for a short time
That fact about Hydreigon makes me think you did not play Gen V competitive and didn’t meet Ghetsis’
Tbf, Hydreigon was set up to be forgotton with both the actual legendaries for unova being dragons and Haxorus and Druddigon giving other dragon type options
"If I had a penny for every time a pokemon used its children as weapons I'd have 3 pennies, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened thrice"

It's fairly common knowledge, but the Hydreigon line has the german 1, 2, and 3 in their names. dEINo, ZWEIlous, hyDREIgon. So their names are pronounced Dino, Zvy-luss, and Hy-dry-gon.
Idk why but the hit marker when that dreepy connected has me creased 😂
Hydreigon is so cool,it deserves better 😔
The dragapult one 💀
For the people wondering? Metagrosses ability cuts its weight in half to make it faster. But it’s so heavy, that practically nothing changes. It’s about 900 pound and most moves do the most damage to Pokémon that weigh about 300-400 so since it weight is cut down to about 450, all move will still do the most damage possible.
Me Naming my baxcalliber godzilla:GOJIRA MOTHER [[hyperlink blocked]]
Fact about Hydreigon: The Hydreigon line was originally ment to have traits of tanks (presumably Dark and steel) the ideas was scrapped away due to it being late in development.
Until then, the design went on and remade it, giving it to be based on the Yamata no Orochi.
The magenta trendlike markings on it's belly is a little something from it's original tank idea.
There's more about it on Bulbapedia.

I beg to differ about Hydreigon, considering it is my favorite pokemon. I'm not kidding. The forgettable one is my favorite ove EVER.
Should change Metagross’ ability from ‘Light Metal’ to ‘Levitate’ as that’s still accurate to the Mon and better because it’s actually useful.
I have that Godzilla poster he showed. No joke
Light Metal Metagross might be still too heavy to reduce the power of Low Kick, Grass Knot etc. BUT if it holds a Float Stone, it can!

I'm pretty sure it's implied Vespiqueen also uses her children as weapons.
Shelter isn’t entirely useless because Imprison can’t hit it
Just give Kommo-o a Steelworker clone ability called Iron Scales.
Vespiquen technically uses her kids to attack
