I was taught tabla years ago (before the internet and You Tube) and my teacher refused to discuss the "popular" tabla playing in film songs and bhajans etc. Your lessons have filled the gap. Thank you so much. You are an excellent tabla player and teacher. It would be good if, at some point, you could give analytic examples of how the taal, fillers etc.that you are teaching us here are used in a complete song. This would be great for the 'big picture' of how to play for song/bhajans. Thanks again for your excellent teaching.
Thanks for kind words. In old time,that was the trend not to teach Kehrawa, Dadra & Rupak at early stage. in 20th Century, lots of changes happend in our everyday life.. Very few Students have patience, time to learn Kaydas and Parans, Teehai. I teach Light Musical first then Classical. i personally believe if student loose interest in learning music, its failure for Teacher & Student. i will upload video for full song, bhajan soon. more like a practical demonstration.. Happy Learning!

Hello Tamoor.. i will suggest 1) Practice some Kayda specialliy Ajrada Gharana 2) there are some Kaydas to make left hand stronger 3) Learn under guidance of Teacher.. Happy learning
