Just buy-it and I figured was something wrong with charging... so I look on you tube and I found your video. My boy is happy now for his birthday.Thanks man. The battery was different but I sorted how to fix-it. You’re the man.
Can you please say me how u short circuit ed it, bcoz mine is different too. Its says -B and -P. I'm confused 😕
Could have explained that you were connecting the negative to the spot marked B- on the board, for those that have a different one, but thanks a million, saved my step daughters hover board! Or at least saved me $60+ buying another battery.

Mine is different too and I tried charging in several pads but didnt keep it very long in each pad. Is there any issue if I kept that in each pad for too long? My battery wasnt charged for many months and might have lost the voltage completely. Any tip will be helpful.

Thankyou for taking the time, after 3 months of no use my 'zinc smart gt' only has lights on the board if i have charger plugged in, it will recalibrate but still no movement in board, i take ''green light' charger out and everything dead again, no lights no beeps. So hopefully i can kick start the battery from inside or verify that its dead forever. I have multimeter but have never used one. Now i will open board up & try. My boy would be so happy. ....
EDIT.....My battery pack is different, is he putting one wire on negative and other end to a positive? or neg to neg? wire sparks and heats up but no change, BATTERY reading at 12, charger still green light. Charger isn't faulty.
my battery is diferent but i i looked for the place where are almost 10 volts (two big black wires) and... IT WORKS!!!! thanks a lot

Good this works, thanks for the information, I changed two of the batteries because they had corroded but still wouldn't charge all problems solved now and link removed.
My battery wouldn't charge because it was just a litter undervoltage. Battery light red and only beeping. But here is a tip: when you remove the gyro cable (next to the led cable) on one side the battery charges. When it gets to 36v then the gyro cable can be attached again. That only works if no cell has failed, but you can try it (just be around the first charges, in case anything goes wrong).

Never mind. Son used it for 1 week. Then caught on fire. SERIOUS. Do not charge in house. Repeat. Do not charge in your house.

Good stuff, my battery was at 6 volts and wouldn't charge, had to short it out a few times but it finally started charging. It's now at 25 volts and climbing. Thanks
Ik its been a year, I have a different type batter circuit, idk what pads to short, should I be worried shorting the wrong wires while charging?

@@MrJOLLYRANCHER92 I completely disassembled all the battery, wiring all, kept photos how qnd where all connected and a layout, salvaged few dead ones and replaced a few, and soldered all back together with copper wire, Taped the whole thing, still works to this day, I know its a lot of work but it was worth it for me
I charged the cells individually so it had enough for the board to pick up and self charge

Unfortunately, this may not even if it charges at first. Mine fully charged then the battery died again. After trying to charge it again, even with shorting the connection, it won't turn red & charge, unless I hold it there 😕

With charger plugged in mine lights up when I press power button without the battery. My battery is slightly different from yours. I get 18 amps from charger board.

I have same problem and I tried your solotion. Battery is charging only if I hold the short connection permanently. Do I have to pemanently solder the short connection or is there another way around? Is there any problem or danger with soldering the short connection?

Please have you hild the short connection permanently?
Permanently soldering the connection between "P-" and "B-" would be extremely dangerous.
As I understand it, when you short the 2 terminals, you are essentially bypassing the protection circuit and sending power to the batteries directly.
The protection circuit is what is keeping your battery packs from overcharging and bursting into flames. It would not be wise to bypass it for more than a few seconds.

Just as I was getting annoyed that this was not working for me, and just kept seeing sparks which was a bit concerning. After 4th attempt the red light on my charger appeared solid after flashing for around 10 seconds. Once the charger light turned green, I checked with a multimeter and battery only outputs 25volts, should be 36-40?? Hoverboard still not powering up. 😕
What cable can I use to short it? Would a cut phone cable work?

Just wanted to say thanks it worked
My brand new hoverboard run time is around 25 minutes then it cut off power of board. At full charge it was around 41.5 V and after 25 minutes the battery voltage was only 37.8 V for cut off. Why is the voltage still so high and already there was a cut off the power?
At wat voltage should the board switch off? Any suggestions?

Hi, My battery is showing 41.2v but hoverboard still won't work. Does that mean the BMS is at fault? Is there a way to fix the bms or do I have to buy a battery? thanks

my battery is 36v and its charging so fast and its running out of battery so fast too. i tested my battery voltage and its 38v whats the problem? is it the charger?the brushed controller?or the throttle?(its an electric scooter not a hoverboard)

this only work if your B- and P+ shows 24V or more. Under 24V, it won't work as the cells are fully discharged.
What should i do my board i switch on charge e board during charge is flashing amber and power is indicate red light but within 3hr power indicate light turn green but board still amber flash for about 2~3hrs... auto shut down. After i plug out switch 🔛 everything connect well on green light but when I wanna ride another side flash red with peep sounds i try it few times but charge within 3hrs done yet after 1st time charge i can't even used already
