    I was there two weeks ago. Pretty crazy that it just opened earlier this year, considering over fifteen years had passed since day one.

    Bureaucrat-heaven-think of a tube of toothpaste filled with tired people instead of toothpaste. No convenient seating; too many levels; no intuitive sense of where each platform is in relation to the next; insufficient provision for the elderly or handicapped, whose ability to walk great distances may be impaired. A wise design would have brought the LIRR tracks to the level of the great hall and provided seating along the length of the neo-Fascist corridors. In their efforts to exclude the bums, the designers of this place have made the rest of us feel decidedly out of place. Eleven billion dollars for THIS? Ya gotta be kidding!-do you buy back?

      Understand your points. Not enough room to have right new tracks at the main concourse level of the cost works be prohibited. For daily commuters, they will figure out which entrance is closest to the LIRR Concierge level and the elevators to the Mezzanine is very fast. Also the elevator I was in served the platforms directly. But agree that for new or occasional user allow time to reach the platforms. There is some signage on the main concourse level providing train times and I think track numbers for LIRR trains, so there is a bit of a workaround
