Great question Ely! It is an animation, yes. Start the box in position one, add the animation, move to the end of the animation and manipulate the box to where you would like it to end.
@@elykligerman1444 That's a Sketch Motion annotation which you can find under the Annotations tab, and then choose the shape you want to 'draw on' and it you can adjust color/aspect ratio et al.
Hi Shanna, to be honest, this is the tutorial on what it's showing. Basically, at the beginning of the animation (arrow) the first image starts small, but at the end of the animation (arrow) he has changed both the position and scale so that it's large and centered. Then he uses a second animation (arrow) to move it farther to the right and scale back down. Does that make sense?
I have already annimated PowerPoint slides. Is there a way to export or reactivate the animation properties after exporting the file to Camtesia? Somehow I only get normal PowerPoint slides exported without animation.
Unfortunately, no. PowerPoint animations aren't transferable to Camtasia. If those are important to you, you can record your presentation as you go through it live and have them attached. Otherwise, Camtasia comes with LOTS of Transitions (even more if you've upgraded to Camtasia 2021) that you can drag and drop onto your slides. And if you do decide to record your presentation, but just want to click through really fast and not present 'live' to record it, after each animation is complete, wait one second, then click for the next transition. Wait one second, click again. Inside Camtasia is a feature called "Extend Frame." Merely split your clips, create a gap between the new split the length you need to narrate, and hover over the end of your slide pressing Alt on Windows or Option on Mac and click and drag to extend a still frame.
Go into your Annotations tab in Camtasia, and add a new Text annotation. You can add as many as you want, and stack them up in tracks (Track 3, 4, 5, etc). Then add an animation to each for when you want it to come into the scene. I Hope that helps!
For every change you would need a new animation. If you're going from 0% (transparent) to 100% (opaque) then you'd have one arrow, with it transitioning from 0-100. To go back to transparent, you'd have to add another animation arrow where it goes from 100%-0%.
I am using animations for something and I'm not sure if there's a better way. I do many screen recordings containing sensitive information, so I love the blur Annotation. The issue I'm facing is when the screen is moving around (during scrolling, zooming in/out, etc.). I try using the animation feature to move the blur annotation, but I cannot get the blur annotation to move at the same speed as the sensitive information underneath it for the life of me. If I could somehow alter the position of the annotation frame-by-frame within the animation arrow, that would be AMAZING. Is there another way? Otherwise, can I please make a feature request? Thanks!
Try this workflow and see if that helps keep the blur with the info: 1. add a blur 2. Group the blur with the clip 3. add the animation to zoom in, on the *group* More on Grouping here: support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042500891-Working-with-Media-Groups Hope this helps!
@@techsmith thank you so much, but unfortunately that still didn’t work. Not to worry though, I just went frame by frame without using an animation and it wasn’t too bad using shortcuts. Thanks for the quick reply 👍🏽

good video tutorial well, im looking a way to make *text moving same time a object move.* Example: A text over my head meanwhile im walking. The text must stay over head even if i crouch to grab something in the floor in the video when im walking. Any help welcome, thanks in advance.
Great question! This tutorial features the latest version of Camtasia which is 2018. Get the free trial here to see if you want to upgrade: www.techsmith.com/video-editor.html
You clicked on Animations on the left, and then clicked on the Animations tab up top (on Windows)? If you're on a Mac, there won't be a tab. But in either case, from version 9(Win) / 3(Mac) forward you should have this option. I changed from Windows to Mac at work. Using Camtasia is so much more tedious on the Mac. Mac version of Camtasia completely LACKS the automated keyframing that the Windows version (also 2020) has. I could produce video flows in a fraction of time with the automated keyframes.
@@techsmith exactly!!!!! I’ve bought an upgrade for 2021 by getting the 1yr maintenance so I’m dying for pan and zoom automated generated key frames on my Mac like I use on PC. That will make my whole year friends. 😍
If you're asking whether or not you can create live annotations while you're recording the screen, the answer is no. But it's quick and easy to add them in after you've recorded your video.
Special Thanks to TechSmith. All of my video edited by Camtasia9.
Worth for the price. Camtasia is the best video editor
Thanks you for the kind words! We're glad you find it valuable!!
is there a way to change animation length by a shortcut key ?

How to do you animate the green boxes as you do at 0:50 ? Is it a behavior ? An animation ?

is there a shortcut key for the animation arrow? i find it more efficient that way than click and drag but it's okay if there isn't one
nevermind-- it's shift+A

Decrease size of the arrow!
only exit Opacity can be seen. How can we add entry opacity eg: appear from 0 opacity and go back to 0 opacity
